As I said. Different fighter. Already declining before the Douglas fight because of leaving Rooney. Then add 4 years out.
The same Alex Stewart was robbed against Foreman and took Holyfield 8 rounds and then the distance. The same Alex Stewart that Mike Tyson smashed inside a round. ;D
The Tyson that took everything Rudduck could dish out would have beaten Holyfield and Foreman.
Re: Tyson-Hollyfield 1991
Rudduck was beat by ever Elite fighter he ever fought Morrsion and Lennox crushed him. Who exactly was his huge wins before fighting Tyson i doubt he would beat Holyfeild and as for Foreman i am not sure really. Tyson my have declined but was able to be beat by fucking Douglas so eh with untouchable Tyson was beatable but unfortunately was in weaker division then now almost only weaker ones were 30's 40's and 50's. Not like Lewis or Holyfeild were spring chickens and Holyfeilds health was pretty done as well which people forget.
Re: Tyson-Hollyfield 1991
Look, I get the fascination with Tyson. Exciting champion with excellent hand speed and power, but he was not invincible. For goodness sake, he was stunned badly against Bonecrusher Smith, imagine what Foreman would have done if he caught him clean, either young or the old version.

Not only that think about the experience a guy like Foreman had: learning from Sonny Liston, sparring with Cleveland Williams, beating the undefeated undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Joe Frazier in 2 rounds knocking him down several times and then going toe to toe with Evander Holyfield in his old age rocking the granite jawed Real Deal more than a few times.
George Foreman would use his height, his reach, his power, and his strength to beat Tyson into submission....Tyson wanted 0 to do with George Foreman because George was bigger, badder, and psychologically in control in his 2nd go round....Tyson would have been humiliated.

Stunned badly? Where did you get that from? What about Tucker landing in round 2? You can count on one hand the times Tyson was cuaght clean at his best.
Tyson was still a decent fighter before prison and Tyson moved from side to side. Holyfield landed about 15 punch combination on George and nearly dropped him. Imagine if Tyson was landing that freely. I think Tyson would have had a field day against Foreman.

Knocked him down early in the fight and then stunned him later on...seen the fight have you?
Re: Tyson-Hollyfield 1991
That was it? The punch. Wow you got me there. I take everything back.
I saw the fight and it was a snoozefest.

Thought Tyson never had those?
Re: Tyson-Hollyfield 1991
Psychologically Foreman would stare holes thru Tyson. It would be man vs boy. Wayyy too much is trouncing Rudduck who as it turned out would have his biggest claim to fame based off two losses. There is zero comparable in regards to his paw jab and cock & fire musket of a left vs a Holyfields combination punching.

I've always said this, if young George Foreman had all of the mental qualities and patience of the older George Foreman he would be almost unbeatable during his physical prime of the 70s.. In fact, I find George Foreman to be much more interesting than the countless "what ifs" of Tyson. Big George had what could be argued the strongest punch in HW history, and by default in boxing history, his power made Tyson's look like Malignaggi.

Re: Tyson-Hollyfield 1991
Tyson respected Foreman, Mike loved the history of boxing and Big George was a legend but do not confuse respect for fear. Ruddock was a better version of Old George and Tyson comprehensively beat him.

Re: Tyson-Hollyfield 1991
Can you picture Foreman being floored by a glacier slow James Smith?
In fairness Ruddock beat a fresher Ken lakusta without being rocked :-X;D
