A person that regularly intimidates and physically assaults their spouse to me is different than what happens when a married couple has an argument that escalates to violence. We wouldn't even be talking about this if the roles were reversed. If this was Serena Williams instead of Rice nothing would happen. I don't antagonize people that can beat me within an inch of my life. Men shouldn't use their often natural advantage of strength and size against women but women should understand that there is a line and once they cross it they have stepped into a man's world. Regardless, Ray Rice isn't entitled to his employment. From a PR perspective, I think the Ravens and the NFL have done the right thing.
I think it's been established the video shows Rice spit on her face both outside and inside the elevator. After the 2nd time, she charges forward, and gets KO'ed. I doubt she was going to hurt Rice very much when she came forward. I also think he could've restrained her using one hand and very little force.

I forgot. She's a women. So that gives her a free pass to insult, spit and hit her man without any repercussions.
I bet if she would of stabbed Rice before getting knocked the fuck out, pussies would of still gave her a pass. "She's a women. The stab wound couldn't of been that deep"
Ray Rice does not want to end up like Fred Lane or Steve McNair and mmuthafukkas are gonna give him a hard time about it?
Re: NFL star suspended for two games for knocking wife unconscious
I'm not saying you should stand there and get hit and spit upon (it was Rice shown on the video spitting on his fiancée). But look at the video and consider the circumstances. Ray Rice is an NFL running back... a big strong guy. He could've used another type of force to restrain her and maybe even squeezed a little, just to drive home the point, as in "quit hitting me". But knocking her unconscious with a left hook and then dragging the body all over the floor... that's a little excessive, if you ask me.

Usually I agree and I'm not one of these fucking pussies who calls for people to be fired every time something controversial happens.
But if the allegations are true that Goodell saw the video 5 months ago when he gave him a 2 game suspension and only black balled Rice when the video was released to the public, Goodell for sure needs to be removed from that position, because it kills any credibility he has because he only acted when everyone else saw the video and was hoping it would blow over.
It kills any illusion that he's operating with ethics and morals and exposes his primary concern in this matter was PR and not the battering of a woman.

Yeah I agree, Ray was acting like a savage in general, and he had what, 80lbs of muscle on her, he didn't have to land a KO blow.
They were both probably drunk and enraged at each other, and when you add alcohol your barriers are down and you will resort to violence when otherwise you might not have.
I also see what Victorcharlie is saying, that women must be expected (like any other citizen) to keep their fucking hands to themselves and not think they have carte blanche to swing on dudes because they are smaller and have vaginas.
Imagine if we had the exact same scenario, only it was a woman KOing a dude who was charging her. She would be an absolute national hero right now.
Re: NFL star suspended for two games for knocking wife unconscious
They have to accept their roster is made up of huge steroided brain damaged violent guys who mostly came from inner city slums. They draw from the same well that boxing does almost.

Being an NFL running back don't mean shit. Fred Lane was an NFL running back. Steve McNair a NFL quarterback. Now both are worm food. Put in the ground by crazy bitches who they should of knocked out and put in there place but didn't.

You're absolutely right.
But I would still hate it and I'll tell you why.
- It must be considered that both the Ravens and the NFL acted immediately once the 2nd video was released. They did not wait for public reaction.
- The NFL is a sports organization, not a law enforcement entity. It should not (IMO) be held to the same standards as authorities whose job it is to investigate this type of incident (domestic violence).
- Aside from his handling of this incident, Goodell has been good for the sport of football. Some might disagree... but it's not easy sitting in that chair and keeping everyone happy (players, owners, fans, etc.).
- The perpetrator (Rice) has been harshly punished... banished from football. The message that the NFL will not tolerate that type of thing (I think) has been delivered. Why pursue a witch-hunt for the sake of satisfying special interest groups?
My guess is that Goodell will NOT step down. I'm hoping he'll get the support from the owners, and the general public, to continue in his post. After all, this is a man who quickly stepped up after the outcry from the 2-game suspension and admitted to being wrong.
But it is what it is... and if the investigation yields what you said... then there's no choice I guess. It'll be the NFL's loss, I believe. You can have a muppet up there that makes player off-field behavior his first priority, while screwing up every other aspect of the game.

And women found it HILARIOUS when Solange assaulted Jay-Z in a lift?

Some did...but again men have to rise above that shit.
To think the liberal fucking media thought the NFL's biggest issue was the Washington Redskins...fucking cunts, the entire media full of cunts!
You have Ray Lewis on NFL Countdown giving his opinions on domestic violence and child abuse without 1 single hint of irony! It's not like he may have been involved in a murder or anything. Not like he pled guilty for obstruction of justice in that very case or anything :vd:
Thank fuck hockey season is soon!
Re: NFL star suspended for two games for knocking wife unconscious
Having seen the vdeo, if you're going to come lunging in like that with your hands down you deserve everything you get.
What a KO though. The ref could have counted to a hundred and she still wouldn't have made it. You just can't teach skills like that. It's heartbreaking to think of all the talent in the NFL and NBA who could have been world class boxers.

Don't you think it's strange that the media would make such a huge fuss over the Washington Redskins' name, and yet no one seems to care about the Cleveland Indians' team logo?
Frankly, I agree about the media being so absolutely full of shit..... and I hope Dan Snyder has enough fortitude to stand his ground on this one.
Cave.... and it's gonna open the floodgates for an avalanche of special interest groups wanting to change team names, logos, uniforms, you name it.
Sports as we know it will cease to exist.

I completely agree and if you look at the logos the Redskins logo is much more respectful whereas the Cleveland Indians logo is a just a caricature. But again the Blackhawks logo is the most respectful I think, beautiful jerseys, beautiful logo.
