I think he will box more but I doubt coming in light has mich to do with it, id say its more a reflection of how hard hes trained.

That leaves six million quid, or nine million dollars for the fighters to split. Probably closer to four million dollars each. That's still nearly four times what Ward made for his last fight.

If Froch wins Ward can easily ask for a 60/40 split and will probably get it. Froch winning means he's the biggest payday for Ward and Hopkins by some distance.

Fuck me, you're being a bit optimistic there kirk. A million PPV? The promotion has been massive, but if it gets close to half that it will be amazing. It wouldn't get a million viewers on normal sky sports.

Abraham and Johnson are well suited to make Froch look good, both very pedestrian, one a one trick pony middle weight and one a weight drained light heavy in his forties.

If Froch wins Ward can ask for a 60% split but he aint gonna get it. Froch knows he is the draw and will more likely get 60% himself in my opinion. Ward doesnt exactly have guys lining up to fight him. Froch on the other hand does.

Are both of these guys going to be nearly men? Or will the winner of this fight propel them to greatness.?

The thing is, who would you say gave the best performance against ward? Which one has the ability to possibly beat him in the rematch and retire knowing you unified the divison.

Kessler always seems in great condition and is a good fighter but he came up short many moons ago against joe calzaghe and then to ward.
But, i like the fact kessler came to joes turf and is willing to fight anywhere against anyone.

Carl seems to have that same drive and is very willing to fight anyone (even though he has trouble against both of the "andres")

Perhaps carl was trying not to be too aggressive at the weigh in due to his recent comments but body language showed that kessler came off alot better and more confident.

These two are both great fighters but this a great stepping stone to a rematch with someone i dont think neither of them think they can beat.. And andre knows it.

Coming from a Dawson KO Im sure he can get the traction. I think Ward would accept the rematch in a heartbeat though. But first things first, lets enjoy this coming fight :D

Yea I hate that too. But Bute clearly was overrated, given his next performance against Grachev. Plus if Froch beats you in that fashion, you aint that good...FACT!

Froch has never beaten anyone in that bute fashion so there could be some truth there.

Then again, when someone beats you like that it can change a fighter for the worst.

Well is going to be electric tomorrow, I think Kessler will win this.

First of Kessler faced Froch last time after the beating and serious headbutt´s from Ward, I think that even without the headbutt´s Ward would have won that fight, I never seen Kessler been that bad prepared, he was all over the Danish media in the radio and TV and I think he lost focus.

Well Kessler fought imo bad against Froch last time, in a style you not would see from Kessler normaly ( see Andrade got picked time and time again, but with a equal slow Froch he missed a lot, I think it was due to the eye-problem he got from the Ward fight, so Kessler which is a very solid technical boxer( some say robotic) miss a slow Froch again and again, I believe he will not miss this time.

I think that Montoya has changed Kessler into a more aggresive fighter with new tricks, so I think Kessler will surprise a lot of people if you think it will be a even fight. Kessler could not match the workrate of Calzaghe or Ward, I don´t think that will be a issue with Froch this time either.

I think the Ward fight took a lot out of Kessler and we saw more of the warrier in front of his own crow, Kessler simply would give, eventhough Froch was hurting Kessler at times, but I don´t see the slip in Kessler as some say. I will agree that he had opponent that was cashcows for Saurland and Kessler. But Kessler is really fit and looks very ready and confident.

Well Froch may have a home advantage but if he tries to do the same gameplan as he did to Bute I think we will see a quick KO, but it will be Froch. I hope in the 3rd round, well heck I put 30pound on that at odds 85:1, will it is a long shot but I think the odds was to tempting. I do believe that Kessler will outbox Froch but I must admit froch has found a momentum that may prove to give Kessler some trouble, but I think he will handle it.

Anyway I wish all of us a great fight tomorrow ;D

Good to read that the ringwalks are pretty late for this one...means I can watch the champions league final before the Boxing starts to get interesting.

This is the fight I've been waiting for. I don't know who's going to win. All I know it's going to be a war.

I think people are hyping this fight too much. Can't see it being as good as the 1st

Just so in case you didn't know, Grachev went on to beat Erdei, after fighting Bute. And Bute might have been overrated, but he had beat Bika and Glen Johnson easy. I wouldn't diminish Froch's victory. It was a good one.
