Bud looking pumped. Canelo coming out full Sergio Leone style.
The atmosphere looks amazing as it should be for such a huge event.
Close 2 rounds so far both cautious and feeling each other up.
Crawford sharpness wins 3rd round.
Both landing cleaner in 4th but Crawford was better.
Canelo face getting red and puffy by Crawford sharp counterpunching.
4-1 Crawford for me
Crawford controlling the contest and enjoying himself. Canelo appears slow footed and loading up.
Crawford is winning this but Canelo seems to fight like he knows he will get the decision.
Round 9 looked to be exciting before the accidental head clash.
Crawford won the fight handily but will he get the decision?
Crawford wins UD. 8-4 and couple 7-5 in there.
Bud is a true legend now.
Well that was good. Couldn't get Netflix to play it from the beginning without going into the live broadcast first which is still going on. Thought it finished ages ago.
The result came up on screen of course.
Watching now unfortunately knowing the outcome.
Don’t want to sound smug, but went pretty much as I expected it to. Canelo deserves respect for clearly dominating a division (bar one obvious duck) that I don’t think is ideal for him, but he is no ATG. Alarming how few answers he had to closing Crawford down, especially when Crawford was fighting Southpaw.
A good Boxer usually comes out on top against a fighter.
And like I said before, for me, this doesn’t put Bud as an ATG either, simply because he hasn’t done enough through his career, and this one result albeit excellent doesn’t make up for that.
It’s a shame Bud wasted the best part of his career through bad promotional decisions and inactivity. He certainly has the talent to maybe be up there. Too late now, but massive congrats to him.
fight should have been twelve rounds, rematch please

Why was a title fight only 10 rounds? That was an excellent contest.
I was totally proven wrong by Crawford. Much respect to the man. He came from three divisions down to beat an 168-pounder who likely came into the ring weighing at least 15 pounds over that. I for one gave Bud no chance. I didn't think he'd be another Amir Khan... but no way did I think he could get a decision over Canelo in Vegas. He wasn't going to knock him out, either.
I can see the arguments about Crawford not being a GOAT simply because of his relative inactivity... and the lack of huge names on his resume. He certainly seemed to waste a lot of his career.
But DAMN..... credit where credit is due.
Let's list the factors that were stacked against Crawford for this fight:
1. He literally came from 3 divisions down. People keep saying 2. But facts are he only fought one fight at 154 and failed to put the opponent away. Translation: He didn't carry his power into 154.
2. He is OLDER than Canelo. This one doesn't get mentioned much.
3. Canelo is the protected DIVA of boxing. You practically have to knock him out, to hope to get a decision win from the judges.
4. Admittedly, Canelo has a great chin. So again... Bud wasn't going to knock him out.
Needless to say, I'm super ecstatic over the outcome. All the legacy talk can now go out the window. Will Canelo be a HOF'er? Sure. He's been a great 168-pounder. Beyond that, however... he just can't be viewed in the same light as some of the previous, great Mexican champions. Hopefully he retires soon... because he sure as hell isn't looking to fight someone like David Benavidez. And frankly... many people have begun getting tired of the act.
Terence Crawford's win against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion attracted an estimated total of 41.4 million viewers, says Netflix.
However, it was well below the estimated 125 million who watched Youtuber-turned boxer Jake Paul's bout against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in November 2024 on the streaming platform.
Because that was not for a title, Netflix described Crawford-Canelo as the "most-viewed men's championship boxing match this century".
Katie Taylor's win against Amanda Serrano in their second fight, which was on the undercard of the Tyson-Paul card, attracted an estimated 74 million live viewers globally and 47 million viewers in the US.
Crawford-Canelo attracted 36.6 million on the day of the fight, while the rest watched it within a day of the bout.
In terms of concurrent streams, Netflix said the fight had a peak of 24 million as opposed to the Tyson Paul peak of 65 million.
Crawford beat Canelo on points to claim the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and IBF super-middleweight titles as he became the first male fighter in the modern era to hold undisputed titles in three weight divisions.

outside of callum he didn't look great in any of those fights
the kayos of billy joe, sergei & caleb were nice but he looked shit for big portions of those fights. i'm not saying his run to undisputed at super middle wasn't impressive & i agree canelo should never really have been above middle at most, just that in my opinion his last best form was danny or ggg two
