nope dont agree with that he has to much integrity for that shyt and froch aint no where near his class and his record aint shyt...tell froch to go fight taylor jones hopkins then ask joe for a fight u wana climb to the mountain top u got to do the hard yards up the mountain and froch aint even half way up there....joe retiring is intelligent and wise and he has the brain power to understand the legacy in boxing history he has left by retiring undefeated and thats wat he will stay retired and undefeated

God I hope not. And to be honest, I think that Froch is the one fighter who Calzaghe would refuse to come out of retirement to fight. Within hours, Froch has got his bitter retort on Fightnews, and I hope Calzaghe doesn't let himself get goaded into taking on the Carlo Cudicini of boxing.

Sorry VD, if you're basing your hopes on Jermain Taylor to beat Froch I think you're sadly mistaken. I think there's a few guys in and around the division that could beat him, but Taylor isn't one of them. Froch carries his hands low, but packs a punch. I think that he'd be able to do a similar job on Taylor that Pavlik did. Kessler and Pavlik himself would be a better bet to finish off Froch than Taylor IMO.
Re: Breaking News - Calzaghe Retires
What's the chances of Calzaghe coming out of retirement later in the year if the right fight and ££££s where there for the taking??I would'nt be surprised if he comes back.Damn i ws really looking forward to see him for one last time live.He should of fought one last time and went out in front of the fans inside the ring and stated his retirement.Thats what i think i would have done if i where him. He'll be back;D

Fraud was able to get away with his hands low against his previous opponents cuz they were all C/D class. He does that with Taylor he gets knocked out. Taylor is the more skilled fighter. I can see him winning this fight with his jab alone if he wanted. Fraud has power (I guess) but it's not one punch power. His last opponent had a questionable chin. Yet Fraud couldn't stop him. And he landded more than enogh times.
Re: Breaking News - Calzaghe Retires
I congratulate Joe for calling it a day undefeated. I like the fact that he decided not to hang around so long that his undefeated record went down the tubes like Larry Holmes did with his. Good work Joe, we'll miss you.
Re: the calzaghe appreciation thread
had immense ability to adapt in a fight that's what made him great.
Re: the calzaghe appreciation thread
Best and most complete fighter I saw with my own eyes. It was a great pleasure watching him.
Re: Breaking News - Calzaghe Retires
Well done, Joe Calzaghe.
He has done everything, and each and every opponent has fallen short. He has been a special fighter, with a will that just does not compute the word "defeat". Part of me is sad because like any fan I would like to see him do it one more time, but one more time can often be one too many.
Respect to Joe for getting it right.

Cmon VD, at least you could have the inventiveness to come up with a proper nickname. Fraud's already been used up on Audley Harrison.
How about Froch'in Dreadful, or because of his injury problem last year, Froch the Crock? And if Taylor is so much the better fighter, why isn't he just getting the fight signed and proving it?

Fraud fits Froch like a condom. Harrison will always be known as Audley Harrison. That's punishment enough. And it looks like Taylor will fight Fraud despite it being a step backwards for him.
