Re: The Yellow in Fraud is Coming Out
I don't see a huge difference between Froch and Pavlik and if Jermaine shows to Froch what he showed to Pavlik, then Froch could hand him a KO here. Like Pavlik he has a strong chin and solid punch, although admittedly his punching power is not as tested as Pavlik's and Froch's defence is basically non existant.
If Taylor plays it smart and makes sure he uses his technical ability which is far greater than Froch's then he'll probably get an easy decision, but, as with any fight, no one knows, which is the beauty of saying whatever you think on here, cos no one can be called dumb til after the fight :D
Either way it'll be an interesting fight, don't think I've seen Froch in a boring one n Jermaine has had a lot of gooduns, styles make fights ;)

styles make fights JT ;) JT doesnt like come forward pressure fighters, which carl is. Just because he has been that many rounds with good fighters why does that mean he will beat Froch?
What you say doesnt mean anything in that respect, JT doesnt like live fighters like this and hes going to get stopped ;D

Probably because Froch has yet to go 1 round with a good fighter.....

Your right. Styles do make fights. Fraud stlye is made for Taylor. You really think Fraud's come forward with his hands down style will work against Taylor? Taylor will break that big ass nose of his with his jab. Taylor is to skilled for Fraud. Fraud has a lot bad habits. But he's been able to get away with them cuz his opponents were crap and couldn't take advantage of them. Taylor can. I would love to see Fraud throw that lunging uppercutt of his and see what happens. Taylor in a blow out.
Re: The Yellow in Fraud is Coming Out
You have your opinion on the fight, I have my own. I respect your opinion but april 25th, Carl is still going to have that WBC belt mark my words ;)

Come April 25th my opinion will become a fact. I know it. And you know it. Which is why you couldn't counter it
Re: The Yellow in Fraud is Coming Out
If you look at the other thread ive already stated my points on the fight I dont have to repeat myself. I know exactly what is going to happen ;)

I read the other thread. All you did was post what you pray every night for. That won't happen. It's impossible. You pointed out all of Taylor's "suppose" flaws. Yet never once mention any of Fraud's flaws (and he has a lot). Or factor that into the outcome. That's fine. Your fantasy is your fantasy. Just prepared to be disappointed. If Fraud doesn't get knocked out early, i see this fight mirroring Antonio Tarver-Clinton Woods.

With that said, credit to Froch for taking a tough fight as his first defense. At that weight, Kessler surely didn't.
I'm really interested to know if any American has fought abroad for his first defence. Froch could just as easily stayed at home and made easy money filling out his 10000 seater arena in Nottingham but he isn't.
I don't like Froch at all but you've got to give him credit for doing this.
In this economic climate, could he really have filled a 10000 person arena fighting an irrelevant boxer? If Froch wins this fight, he gains a ton of notoriety, increased leverage in negotiations, and a broader fanbase. It was smart in either way really because if he loses to a former undisputed middleweight champion with a recognizable name, he still will gain notoriety and a fan base. If Taylor waxes him, well then, that's a different story.
In this economic climate will they fill a casino function room even with $200 ringside seats? Even though I think he'll lose you've got to admit that voluntarily making the first defence of your world title away from home against somebody everybody expects to beat you isn't something that happens every day. On the night I'll be cheering for Froch even though I think he'll lose.

Those flaws are what carl is going to work on and stop him in the fight. Taylor hasnt looked good for years, I cant even remember a performance of late where I firmly believe hes going to beat up carl so bad like your making it out to be. Taylor-Froch will be a very good fight and its just arrogance if you think its not a good match up. Ouma engaged well with Taylor, I think a much bigger Froch is going to cause a lot more problems than a small 154 fighter who had no punching power at all. As I said before I have my own opinion on the fight, I know carls defence isnt the best but he makes up for it with a solid chin and his work ethic.
Taylor isnt as good as you think he is, he beat Lacy last time out, but so Peter Manfredo almost did too ;). Expect a good fight here none the less, if Taylor can use his speed maybe he will outbox carl. But I will tell you this for nothing if he thinks he can take his foot off the gas in the slightest like he has done in the past hes going to face a lot of problems. Pavlik-Taylor 1 when the going got tough for him, he lost his movement and got caught with silly punches which set up for a big knockout. Carl wont be taking any backward steps and I think he will catch Taylor and finish the fight in pretty similar style to be honest. Carl has been training very well for this fight and his preperation work will be the best ever IMO. Carl knows hes the underdog and that approach will be better for him and hes going to stop Taylor in good fashion.
by the way VD, I thought Froch didnt want this fight and was turning ' yellow ' what happened about that? I can tell you this for nothing Carl wants this fight a hell of a lot more than Taylor does, Carl is a hungry fighter and hes going to show that on the 25th April. This fight means so much to the career of Carl Froch and he wont let an overrated Taylor stop his career, mark my words ;)

Lacy is atleast as good as Pascal if not better and Pascal gave Froch all kinds of problems. Yeah Taylor has looked bad at times but it has been against champs, former champs and some HOF fighters. Froch has fought one guy in the top 20 and all his other opponents have not been ranked in the top 50. If Taylor fought Froch's opponents he'd look a million dollars as well.
Froch may well win the fight and if he does good luck to him, he will have earnt it. But to use any of his previous fights as an indicator of how he will do against Taylor is a load of shit cos all his other opponents have been worse than bad.

Look at post 53 for the reason behind the thread. Fraud had been running his mouth for to long. I wasn't going let him coward away. I have no doubt Fraud reads the Saddo forum. Once he saw the thread he knew i was on to him. So he had no choice but to go through with the fight.
Re: The Yellow in Fraud is Coming Out
Taylor takes this fight easily, barring a surprise K.O by Froch if Taylor gets lazy.

Again, a simple case of styles makes fights. Lacy IMO would not get by Pascal and Pascal would be a challenge to any 168 fighter. In saying that though Carl was firmly in control of the fight and won the fight. I just say we wait for the fight and see how it goes, I know for a fact carls style will have Taylor in problems.
