Re: Mayweather: "If Manny wants it, I'll pay Juan to step aside"
lol so now all of a sudden the training Marquez does matters and its an insult?
Weren't you people the same guys that were bashing Mayweather to fight Marquez in the first place? saying Floyd was just fighting smaller guys and everything else? So now when he wants Pacquiao you say its an insult to Marquez when you weren't picking him in the first place and bashed Mayweather 3 shades darker for taking that fight and yet you support a Pacquiao vs Cotto fight? You people just find ways to try to hate on someone don't you?

Exactly. People were ragging on Floyd for taking the Marquez fight, now Floyd says he's willing to fight Pacman if he wants it. But now everyone is saying Floyd should fight Marquez instead of Pacman because of the hard training Marquez puts in or whatever.
Just give Marquez 1 million (he should be happy if he fought for 30k) or whatever as a buyout and get the Pacman-Floyd fight on, since pacman hasn't sign an contract with Cotto yet it's possible the deal with FLoyd can be made.
Re: Mayweather: "If Manny wants it, I'll pay Juan to step aside"
All i see is that Mayweather just layed down the gauntlet and if I dont hear something from Pacquiao, i'll have to assume he don't want to fight Floyd & i'll lose respect for him.

Yeah I'm one of those, I bashed Floyd for fighting Marquez instead of welters like Mosley and Cotto and Pac even.
JMM in my opinion at his age can NOT compete againsed elite fighters in higher weight classes. Pac can, and he has proved it. So what is your beef with Pac fighting Cotto?

So if Pac does not jump like a puppet and agree to fight Floyd at his command he loses your respect?
The boxing world does not revolve around Floyd Mayweather, it never really has........and that's his fault!

Exactly JMM fought Chris John in Indonesia for a bag of Hamburgers... 1 mil is surely worth a few months of someones time
Not to mention you dicks jumped on Floyd for fighting JMM instead of Pac, now your all defenders of Marquez... Holy shat your a bunch of nutters
How can you defend Floyd? The fight was signed, Marquez who has worked fucking hard to get where he is at is expected to just fuck off with a payout because Floyd ain't the draw he thinks he is?
That is his choice, if he wants to step aside for a mil than so be it.. JMM holds the cards on this one, thats why I shake my head at you guys for giving Floyd shit. He is contractually obligated to fight Marquez and offering him quite a pay day to step aside or To F#CK Off (using your words)
You can say all the shit you want.. Floyd is a draw and the numbers prove it.

I would rather see Floyd give a beating to Pac than to Juan.
:LOLATYOU:.......Sorry just when I read your post I have the urge to Mock you...
Yes because we all know the general public, casual sports fan, and all the boxing fans would rather see Marquez-Floyd than Floyd-Pacman right?
Even a Rusty Floyd should dust Marquez easily. Juan Marquez can go fight someone in a developing country for 30k again he's out of his league against Floyd and he was lucky to get a 3 or 4 million payday, as someone said he would have been happy to fight someone for a bag of hamburgers.
And you think Floyd will walk through Pacquiao?
Since Gatti who has Floyd walked through? Even Hatton had him on his best game all night and Hatton is no JMM.....
Your such a big fan and so sure he will walk through Manny why don't you throw in a few bucks for the buy off....Floyd can use every dollar he can get these days

The fact that people were crapping on Floyd vs Marquez saying it means nothing for him to beat the smaller guy and some people were saying that about Pacquiao.
yet when Mosley called out Pac, everyone was fine with it, the prospect that Cotto vs Pac is probably being made, and everyone is fine with it.
And my question is, if Mayweather was "too big" to get respect for fighting either of them then why the heck aren't Cotto and Mosley when Floyd is smaller then both of them?
Re: Mayweather: "If Manny wants it, I'll pay Juan to step aside"
the oh Floyd is so persecuted shit doesn't work anymore since Manny is clearly the most bashed fighter in the world today. Manny has gotten far more shit for fighting Cotto at 145 than Floyd has for fighting JMM at 144.
And seriously have we not gone over this? People have seen Pacquaio fight at 140 and 147, they haven't seen JMM and so they are more skeptical about his ability to do this. You would think at some point this would get through to some people. In addition to this JMM is old and seen as regressing while Pacquaio is seen as improving.
And yet still Floyd has gotten remarkably little shit for fighting JMM (personally I don't have a big problem with it) mainly because Pacquaio has taken his place as boxing's lightning rod.
This is more about Floyd just being an idiot. Shocking I know.
Re: Mayweather: "If Manny wants it, I'll pay Juan to step aside"
Here's a more detailed briefing of the conference call showing that Floyd did just make the Marquez comment after getting worked up & also seems to demonstrate that his issues are with Arum & a lot of what he's been coming out with. Not that he hasn't said some dickhead things today though.

I'm bashing Mayweather because he's completely disrespecting Marquez. I can understand, you're a Mayweather fan and you're defending him but you don't see anything wrong with his actions or how he's running his mouth here? He's saying he rates Marquez higher than Pacquiao but is looking to fight Pacquiao instead. How is he trying to make himself look?

Seriously! Pac is trying to get Cotto to drop a couple pounds and he getting bashed. Floyd is making Juan move 12lbs up!! Juan is in his mid-30s. He should be getting more heat. I can see why people are getting so worked up over Floyd and Manny though. They're two of the best fighters in the world and the best always has their fair share of critics.

You & Ouma are Manny fans though so you see less of a problem with what he's doing, whilst Majesty & myself stick up for Floyd despite what he does, so none of us can really claim to be impartial & no doubt come off like 'haters' at times. This can be said though, neither of the 2 best fighters in the world & of their generation are covering themselves in glory with some of their recent behaviour.
Re: Mayweather: "If Manny wants it, I'll pay Juan to step aside"
I don't see a big problem with what Floyd's doing really fightwise. The only time I really criticized Floyd was when he decided to take a vacation from the second Castillo fight through his early run at welter. That deserved criticism.
Floyd's resume is underrated and he gets too much at criticism at times. I would say the criticism of Manny has been even more absurd lately (unless he demands 143 or nothing for Cotto, I don't have a big problem with a Cotto fight at 145 as I've said now 8, 435 times) considering what he's done over the course of his career but as you say I'm a fan. Although the funny part is the main reason I became a big fan was because of all the absurd criticism.
The only thing I'm critical of with Floyd here is he's an idiot when he opens his mouth but meh its like criticizing George Bush for being an idiot when he opens his mouth, it loses its sting after a while.
