Floyd dictating the terms? Wait a minute. It is Pac and his team who asked for different things which Floyd agreed to: 50/50 split, date, gloves, $10,000,000 fine for weight, etc. Floyd just asked for a blood test which he was willing to take as well.
So no, it is not Floyd dictating terms, it's the other way around. Pac and his team asked for all kinds of things, Floyd asked for one and all kind of silly contradicting excuses were heard from Pac and his team and new excuses keep coming out.

You misunderstood my statement. I was referring to the Mayweather-Marquez fight in there. Do you know who has a say in the size of the gloves that they used in that fight? Give me a guess. Why did they use the eight ounce gloves ? If Floyd did not have a problem with that glove size then, why would his fight with Pacquiao be any different?
This is the first time I'm seeing the 50/50 split being made to appear as a demand that Floyd agreed to. Didn't both fighters asked for a higher split of the purse? I see the 50/50 split as a mutual agreement by both parties.
Manny's choice of date is very limited because of his political ambition in the Philippines. It isn't like Floyd lost some advantage in agreeing on that date.
Floyd agreeing to that $ 10,000,000 shouldn't be a big deal because he has no problem staying within that weight limit. He was within that limit in his last fight. And I don't think they would place this in the contract just for Floyd (his team isn't that stupid). Didn't you think that Manny will also pay that amount if he also goes above that weight?
And you make it appear that Floyd's only demand was the blood test. Didn't they consider having the fight in Dallas and team Pacquiao was ready to go on a flight to Texas? And who refused that. Didn't Floyd want the fight to be in Vegas? This hasn't gained too much attention because IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A BIG DEAL, JUST LIKE THE OTHER DEALS THAT WERE MENTIONED ABOVE. Did you see any disadvantage on Floyd's part by him agreeing to those terms? The bood test is a different story and is debatable.
Okey, we are going to be reprimanded again for beating a dead horse.

Why would Manny agree to anything beyond what is mandated by the boxing authorities/athletic commissions?
Why should Floyd Mayweather dictate the terms of drug testing or anything for that matter? Even if you don't buy that Manny could be superstitious why should he let PBF dictate the terms of anything? Manny has agreed to the most stringent drug testing in the history of boxing and that's not good enough for Floyd so screw it...Manny has earned the title of ATG and doesn't need to do anything that PBF tells him to.
Or maybe pbf's intentions all along were to push Manny's button's enough to prevent a fight, giving PBF an out while and saving his undefeated record?
Why should Floyd agree to eight ounce gloves or a ten million dollar a pound fine for being overweight at the weigh-in? You can negotiate anything you want in a fight contract. Manny had the perfect opportunity to flatten all the steroid rumours and win a massive psychological victory over Floyd by just accepting the test but instead made a bunch of bs excuses. He made himself look guilty.
I guess if you don't understand drug testing, steroids or want to believe anything PBF says Manny does look guilty...
The people who do know about drug testing like the head of the USADA, who's forgotten more than you and me put together know about testing, says it's quite possible Manny is a juicer and that scheduled as opposed to random testing is a total waste of time. There are various links to his interviews in the previous threads on this. I'm going to go with the guy who knows what he's talking about on this one.

It's something Manny wanted and Floyd agreed to, it was a specific demand during the negotiations, just like Floyd demanded random testing. It's irrelevant what demands were made in other fights other than to show that there are always various demands made in negotiations for every fight.

How is 50/50 Manny dictating terms? And the date is dictating terms? LOL. They both dictated one major thing, the tests from Floyd and the weight penalty from Manny.
I don't even know why I've gotten involved in this moronic debate. I just kicked the f****** horse. Oh well.
Re: Pacquiao talking bollox....
What is all this nonsense about not allowing Floyd to dictate terms? So says the Manny camp that negotiates a WW title fight at a catchweight of 145 pounds? All it is is a series of random tests in the preparation stages of a fight, it is absurd to think it would have any detrimental affect upon Manny's performance in the ring. To not accept that Manny has behaved suspiciously is ridiculous and downright stupid. And to suggest that Floyd not be the one to dictate terms is the height of hypocrisy. Go away and die you horrid little people. I hate you!
This shit is boring me and seriously pissing me off. I hope Manny Pac either gets knocked out this weekend or gets mutiliated in a giant sausage mince grinder at some point in the near future. They can turn all his fans into sausages too and use to them to solve world hunger. It would stop them talking nonsense anyway.... but knowing these muppets we would probably have swarms of sausages wriggling around pleading "leave Manny alone. He's an ATG! He's more than a sausage. Blah. Blah. Blah." I would just stamp on them all and have bits of sausage scattered up the walls in a horrid greasy mess!
Re: Pacquiao talking bollox....
I wasn't trying to be rascist. Believe it or not, what I was trying to get at was that I believe the negotiations failed because of Pacquiao's machismo. He really was a wanker about this.
I've found it's almost impossible to have a logical argument let alone negotiate with a Filipino once they feel you have "disrepected" them and believe me that isn't hard to do. I know this for a fact because I'm half Filipino (Ifugao blood) half Australian, most of my extended family has moved here (from Sablan, a small town in Benguet Province about a 25 minute jeepney ride from Baguiao City) and I've been there myself. Now if you feel this is racist go and ask twenty Filipino Manny Pacquiao fans why the negotiations failed and see if you still have a full head of hair afterwards.

Okay, quick question. What is this A-Side meth called in Flip? In some parts of the boxing world they are saying that Pacquiao is on this special drug that is only produced in the Phillipines. This drug supposedly can make you shrug off .38 and .45 caliber bullets on the battlefield of war and keep on moving forward. And since Pacquiao has posession of this drug he has become almost like superman in the boxing ring, just keeps on coming forward and taking some hard shots.
Since you're half-Filipino and seems to know a lot about the people and islands can you expound upon this drug used by the Flip military and Pacquiao? I would be interested since this is what is going around boxing circles.
Hey I'm just going on what's being said.
Re: Pacquiao talking bollox....
No worries. I've heard it's a potent cocktail of ginebra, San Miguel beer, a left fistful of rice and a pinch of pure fighting cock shit. Its administered intravenously and can only be detected in semen. Team Mayweather has therefore just announced that any future fight with Manny Pacquiao will only go ahead if Michael Koncz agrees to undergoe random Olympic style oral swab tests.
Re: Pacquiao talking bollox....
Still? Really? This topic is still alive? Wow. You guys are just wasting your time. I've had my say on this and that should be it. Whatever their respective reasons are, WE SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW why this fight never really materialized. It is more than the PEDS. It is more than the common man who sits in front of his computer, chatting, talking like crazy expressing their OWN opinions on this issue which is fed by what the media and both Mayweather and Pacquiaos side allow us to read and know! Don't you guys get it? This fight will happen if it happens. Sit back and relax and enjoy the rest of the boxing year. I've heard all sorts of arguments from both sides and I was so dissapointed with Manny. But I will not offer my time arguing over this for eternity.

seriously though, Pacquiao/Clottey is just 2 days away and yet there really isn't much of a buzz for the fight :-\

Nah, nobodies interested and rightly so.
Mayweather/Mosley properly built up or a Pac/Clottey fight hastily put together so they could avoid drug tests and politically campaign in time? That's why we have Pac against the guy Cotto already beat...those reasons and the fact that Arum can keep it all.
It's a crock of shit and no sensible person should be paying for this garbage after all that has happened.

Absolutely, we agree the USADA is a good testing agency. The USADA refers to what Floyd wants as the "gold standard". Unfortunately, that "gold standard" can test for literally thousands of substances set for by whatever the agency is requesting those tests. The USADA is even applauding PBF's contractual demands for such testing as it will mean even more relevance for them. Here lies the issues; who is going to maintain blood year round for comparative blood doping tests? Who is going to set the standards for hormonal level thresholds or what are banned or controlled substances for boxing? With Steroids, HGH, Narcotics that's an easy answer but Will Xylocaine like PBF uses be illegal? Will testosterone boosters be illegal, Creatine? Does PBF get to dictate what is and isn't illegal? Now, today boxing drug testing is a joke we all can agree to that and the ultimate goal is to have a good standard in place. The testing that I mentioned in earlier posts can basically be done on any genetic material and like any testing you have to target specific substances, and their levels. The DoD uses very stringent test based on the methods I described for urinalysis. Since they are testing Pilots and people with critical and dangerous professions these tests have lower thresholds than even the IOC. As you can see there are alternatives to blood testing beyond what Manny P. feels comfortable with, so why not use these?

Don't misunderstand my argument of Manny being clean, he may be dirty for all I know. BUT, PBF's all or nothing approach to this matter is clearly a case of him trying to get into Manny's head more than him trying to do what right for the sport. There are other ways to test athletes even contrary to USADA.
