Hmmmmm. Well I never made the much anticipated highlight reel by knocking out a Jr. middle fringe contender so I was sick.
He was not the one predicting a KO Rosado was. He finished the fight in the 7th round why would he have to make excuses? 25 fights 25 wins 22 Knockouts. If he is as overhyped as people are claiming then there will be a queue waiting to take his belt and ranking off him. Not.
MW Mike Tyson ? Hits harder than Chavez Sr. for his weight ?
Greatest middle weight KO artist ever ?
Or just a good titlist who struggled with a good Jr. Middleweight, never knocked him down, got the TKO win and had to qualify it with an 11th hour excuse.
I think Rosado proved more than Golvkin did, even in defeat.
Different page young Jedi. I never listen to fighters predictions. For the most part they are a crock of shit. I could care less what Rosado said. Whats he going to say I'm going to get killed? The entire planet was predicting this to be a steam rolling by the invincible destroyer of worlds. The replay of the fight is on right now if you get HBO and you might want to take it in again.
Golovkin might be a tad bit overhyped, but shit its not like he lost a round. He's not a stylist he's gona get taged, he knows this he just plans to hit ya harder in return, yeah he did.n't knock rosado out but shit there were three or four moments where rosados whole body moved but he didn't go down surprisingly. A good performance and only a let down due to the immense hype.
. Totally agree.golavkin will be avoided like the plague!thought he looked pretty gd Saturday.he didn't get out ov first gear and smashed up rosado ov 7 rounds.ill or not this guys going to get better with better opposition.rosado at times was in survival mode.a remember watching the prokas fight and after the fight Darren barker was in the sky studio and was very impressed with golavkin and did not fancy fighting him.ad imagine he won't be the only 1 Martinez included.
I don't fall for Hype myself, but I know a good fighter when I see one and Golovkin is one simple,
he was a Ko artist in the unpaid ranks and is doing so in the paid ranks.!
You have to admit Rosado was very tough, but he took far to many head punches the guy's in the
corner were very brave, letting him take a panning shit bags.
What fight were you watching because I seen GR land a few jabs and get battered the rest of the time against a fighter who was ill prior to the bout. He wasn't even 100%.
Proksa and Rosado would have given any of the top 160-pounders a challenge regardless of how highly u rate them! Golovkin beat down two experienced, in-their-prime, well-schooled fighters — fighters who came in to win, didn’t give up, but were beat up, bloodied, and stopped. Give the guy his dues...
Golovkin was lined up for Geale, but Geale went elsewhere (i.e. Mundine).
Golovkin was signed to fight Pirog, but Pirog pulled out with injury.
Golovkin called out Sturm for two years, and Sturm continually went elsewhere (up until Geale beat his ass).
And rumours are around the net that Quillin was soundly beaten up by Golovkin in the gym (the rumour is that Golovkin actually KO’ed him, which is VERY rare for sparring, but reports consistently state that Golovkin spars hard)… and in an interview with Quillin on ESB he didn’t deny it… he just vaguely sidestepped the question.
Yes he needs to fight better competition, but it’s THE COMPETITION that is avoiding him, not the other way around. Does anyone really think Geale would beat a 100% GGG? 2013 is GGG's year.
Can't wait to see Pirog back too.
Because Golovkin didn't flatten Rosado in the way that many out there predicted he would, Golovkin now looks vulnerable. Consider though that Golovkin won every single round and that Rosado's face looked like a bloody mess when the fight was finished. Rosado is a junior middleweight but he is a big junior middleweight. I say that just because I didn't see a big size difference in the fight. I also have a higher opinion of Rosado than other people here. I think he's a cagey, calculated fighter...and, Golovkin beat him him pretty easily.
All that said, Rosado isn't a top ten middleweight. Golovkin still needs a defining fight at middleweight before we can start suggesting he would beat the lineal champion. It's unfair to Martinez.
Rosado had 5 losses, had never fought for a "world" title and never fought at middleweight.
Proksa had lost to powderpuff puncher Kerry Hope, had never fought for a "world" title and Darren Barker, a man that proved himself world-class with his effort against THE real middleweight champion, then slaughtered Hope in 4 rounds making the Proksa form look rubbish.
Even if everyone is "ducking" Golovkin, until he actually beats proven world-class fighters, he is nothing more than potential. That's it.
(a fighter signed to HBO has the backing to get top 10 fighters in the ring. Fact.)
So? Rosado actually looked the bigger man anyway. Fair play he was game but ultimately put in his place by a less than 100% GGG. I'm not really over-hyping the win it was just another stepping stone IMO. Note also that Rosado barely won a round as evidenced by the judges scores! Don't be so harsh on someone who was clearly operating below par anyway. He got the job done.Quote:

Proksa was a stand in for undefeated Pirog who is easily a top 10 MW having dominated undefeated american prospect Jacobs and world class Ishida. U can't criticise a man for fighting a stand in (and a solid one at that!)...Quote:

Proksa debateably lost to Hope IMO. Hope won a close MD. They fought for a second time and Proksa stopped him! Proska also dominated Sylvester who pushed both Geale and Karmazin to to a SD! So he's not that bad is he? (Karmazin beat Echols. Tatevosyan. Ouma. Keith Holmes etc and only lost to Cory spinks by a close MD. )
Do u think Barker beat's Golovkin? Pirog if he get's fit beats Barker too IMO. Martinez may be the man now but he won't be in 2 years time and i doubt he will give GGG a shot any time soon. He is content to fight good but not great British MW's (a division that is neglected in britain due to the prominence of our SMW's like Calzaghe, Froch and Groves!) Im a Martinez fan anyway......
I know a good fighter when i see one. He more than backed it up in the AMS and will do so and is doing so as a pro too. All in good time....Quote:
