Statistically it should be pretty easy to determine. Differing from yesteryear, there wasn't outlets via technology to raise the issue.
That and also how certain outlets focus on certain crimes. Most petty crimes, to gun murders are front and center. But cyber crime which amasses into hundreds of billions of dollars- isn't worth the time of day to mainstream media nor conservative out lets. Maybe when the central cities of America begins to dip their hands into it---we'll finally get to know who is drilling America's buttocks for hundreds of billions of electric-beep money. :rolleyes:

Hard to disagree with the link you posted-. Even harder is that there is a need to know the stats of these crimes committed with guns. But no desire to find the source of where these guns come from.
