No. Just for the moment

Why the fuck shoudl Wlad be forced to wait when Wladimir wanted to fight in February, he wanted to fight in March, and now David Haye gets some sand in his vagina and wants to postpone until July.....Wladimir is the champion, champions don't wait, champions have a queue of fighters waiting to get their shot and Haye just blew his chance for the moment.
Lyle,
I enjoy Bunce's rants they are entertaining if uninformed. HBO have turned down Wlad vs Chagaev? They were going to air the Haye fight. Haye is a draw to HBO someone they can sell.
The only good thing to come-out of all this is the possibility that Vitali will now fight Haye. Vitali is the main man not his brother and he don't want to fight Maskaev. (Old and shot)
I respectfully disagree with you on Haye's readiness but conceed I'd have liked him to have had 2 more fights to get used to carrying the extra weight. I do see the Klitschkos as beatable.
I am gutted this fight seems to have fallen through. Klitschko vs Chagaev is going ahead just seems to need a US channel. There may be a silver lining and we get Vitali vs Haye. Vitali is definately up for that.
And there goes Haye's chance
Klitschko, Chagaev reach agreement
Apparently everyone in England is dying to see David Haye killed in the ring ...what gives? Last time one of YOUR BOYS got KO'd all you Brits were on here moaning about how you "cried all night" and "How dare HBO show Ricky's family as he's lying there motionless on the canvas!"......will you cry when David Haye finally gets his shot (stays healthy) and get's battered from pillar to post???
I've given examples of why the Wladimir Klitschko-David Haye fight was not great at the moment...I never said that I didn't want the fight to happen, I'm happy any time Wlad fights as I am sure the Pacquiao fans are happy when Manny fights, and the Pavlik fans and Cotto fans are happy when those guys fight.....but for the division as a whole this fight and this point in time was not going to heal the heavyweight division the way all you Haye fans think it would...even if the stars lined up right and Haye won the division would still be fucked on account of Don King and the WBA.
Ruslan Chagaev is WBA Champion (in recess), Wladimir Klitschko holds the IBF and WBO titles (and the lesser IBO title as well)...if Wladimir was to win then he would have a clear shot at Nicolay Valuev who tucked dick and ran screaming like a little girl when Wladimir's people offered him the fight. And not only would he have a shot at him, he would have a LEGITIMATE claim to the WBA belt ergo making him the holder of 3 belts and making the heavyweight division whole again (whole in that the people who wanted the WBA belt would have to actually fight someone good for a change, not in that Wlad would be the unified Champion or anything).
Had David Haye gone after the WBA belt and won it then SHIT YEAH this fight would be worth waiting for but right now Haye needs to get healthy, fight a top contender, and earn his shot.
Lyle do you realistically feel Haye causes no threat whatsoever to Bitchsko ?
When was the last time Wlad faced anybody as fast, powerful and determined as Haye ?
leftylee when has David Haye shown that he can compete on Wladimir's level???
SUUUURRRRRVEY SAYS
NEVER!!!!!!
....those guys fought cruiserweights???
Wlad KO'd Monte Barrett 9 years ago...."something Wlad can't deal with"....shiiiiiiit
I go with LEftylee there, Haye hasn't proved nothing and got shaken up by a far lesser opponent than Wlad. Haye has a decent speed but he's sure not a speedracer for the HW division. As for his power, he has proven great things at cruiserweights but nothing so far in the HW division, beside, Wlad is more powerful than him, sharper, bigger with a much similar speed (at least, in his range). Haye brings excitement because of his brash out mouth and super aptitude to self promote and to raise up passions but in all honesty, his chances to win are from slim to very slim.
Rahman beat Lewis, Tony Thompson and Sam Peter were at least young undefeated ranked heavies, (the only comparison to Haye there is the young bit)
If Haye showed brutal power in beating Barrett then Cliff Couser must have shown, er............... even more brutaler power;D
Come on mate... Rahman was a one punch wonder and more importantly he was young when that happened... he's way past his best. He couldn't even out hustle or out fight fat super middle weight James Toney.
The Rahman fight was a gift to him for his patience and generosity in dealing with Vitali's injuries....it was a big paycheck for a guy who showed class a lot of class nothing more, nothing less.
Tony Thompson is an avoided fighter and as well he should be, he's 6'6 he's 250+ pounds, he's a southpaw and he has very good defense and a good jab.
Sam Peter was a very solid threat when Wlad fought him and before that fight Wlad was at a low point in his career...it was a VERY dangerous fight for Wlad to take, he risked his career on that fight, had he lost he would have had to retire.
Calvin Brock was a tough fighter too, not exciting, not overwhelmingly talented in 1 area or another, but he was a strong fighter, very solid
This is great for boxing. This fight meant nothen anyway. Now that this crap is out the way,Maybe Hayes can focus on a real good fight like Dawson. They need each other right now.Dawson vacted his tiltle to pursue bigger fights..Well here it is..Great fight for both of them.An super for boxing...I wanna see it..
I actually think the younger harder hitting Calzaghe would make Haye look stupid, I think Dawson would go in to a shell too much like he does.
Stupid in the fact that someone so much smaller could live with him to be honest, lets face it, weve now all learn that size difference means nothing and no matter how big a puncher you are you still have to land them.
One things for sure, if Lewis, Tyson or Holyfield were still going, or if Haye was around 10 years ago, I dont see him wanting to move up;D
He sees Wlad as vulnerable, which he is but Wlad may be a vulnerable heavy, whereas Haye is a vulnerable cruiser and Hayes punches couldnt make as much of an impression on Barrett as Couser did.
My Gyms owner was talking to me yesterday, he likes Haye and the way Haye gos in interviews and praises the use of weights for his strength, as like he said, its good for his buisiness but he also said there is something fishy about Booth saying Haye has a chronic back injury but will be fine to fight in 3 weeks??
Haye cant afford to be picky. He needs to just fight anybody. He has had 1 fight in 1 year against Monte Barrett and he has nothing lined up so its not really good enough .
This is why I refuse to give Haye the benefit of the doubt. Today's MRI equipment can detect even slight micro muscle tears. This sort of thing happens in the NFL often because with the amount of money that NFL players are paid, you need a proper "doctors note", LOL.Quote:
Klitschko and his team had been considering the postponement, but when it still hadn't received a medical report on Haye's injury by Friday afternoon, they opted for Chagaev.
"We have only heard from them about this injury but not received the medical report," Boente said. "The main obstacle in Wladimir's mind was that we can never count 100 percent on Haye. The options were Chagaev on June 20 or delay the Haye fight to July 11. But the big obstacle was that we don't know that suddenly Haye doesn't cancel again because his back is still not 100 percent. Then with the summer vacations in Europe, we can't do a fight until the fall. We couldn't take that risk."

So he elects to fight a guy who has just pulled out of another fight with hepatitus? Rather than wait 3 weeks to fight Haye. I'm thinking B.I.T.C.H.
Sorry Lyle and other Clit fans but to call it off and fight somebody who is just as likely...if not more likely to pull out is ridiculous
No point going on about it Lee, what Lyle doesn't understand is that Haye poses a decent threat to Clit because of his speed of movement and one-punch KO power. Lyle feels safer knowing that Clit is going to be fighting a smaller guy who is too slow to do anything other than stand in front of Clit not actually doing anything. You can't even blame Lyle or Clit. It's just what they have become accustomed too. Rahman, Thompson, Peter, Austin.
Clit fans like to retort to the 'what has David Haye ever done to deserve a shot' line which is fine until you remember who Clit has been fighting recently. Furthermore i highly doubt the Clit fans would complain about Nate Campbell getting a shot straight away at 140, or Pac getting a shot straight away at 135 and 140, or indeed any other undisputed champion moving up in weight.
#1 Chagaev didn't pull out of the Valuev fight, the Athletic Commission in Finland wouldn't allow him to fight, methinks Don King would rather Valuev fight John Ruiz or Kali Meehan so as to hang on to the WBA belt.
#2 I never said Haye didn't pose "a threat" I just said it would be better for Haye and better for the division if he actually fought some decent heavyweights before jumping in with the big fish. 1 punch can change any fight BUT KO-ing Monte Barrett doesn't mean much.
I think the thing you don't understand ono, is that Chagaev WAS fit to fight but Valuev and Don King didn't want to lose the title again and that is why the fight was called off in Finland. As for David Haye's injury, all we have been told is that it's a "back injury" why haven't we been told more???
As what Lyle said earlier, Chagaev didn't pull out... It was the boxing commission's decision not to allow him to fight because of the hepatitis detection...
Reports from Team Chagaev stated that he's 100% feeling healthy... First time I've heard Chagaev experienced nausea, vomiting, fatigue etc... Where did you read this news??
.
What's to stop the commission from doing the same again? Seriously asking because i don't know....
I wasn't saying Chagaev is experienceing the above symptoms, i was suggesting it's highly possible that he will if he has Hepatitus B.
My point is the above fight is just as likely to be called off as the fight with david haye would be.....merely 3 weeks later.
Because the Wlad-Chagaev fight will happen in GERMANY and not Finland and Wladimir had already asked the German Athletic Commission and they had no issue with Chagaev's illness (fyi Ray Mercer and Evander Holyfield have fought with Hepititus).
David Haye is only going to be able to fight July 25th and NOT July 11th which means Wlad would have to wait 5 weeks and not 3 and I don't care who you are, that's unreasonable and beyond that David Haye COULD still be slightly injured for that fight and as a fan of Wladimir Klitschko and a fan wanting the best the heavyweight division we don't need any bullshit excuses as to why David Haye lost, I am sure the Haye fans want him in top condition for every fight too, that's all I want so I can say Wladimir KO'd him fair and square.
And so Vlad bottled it and took the Chagaev fight, despite the fact that HBO want nothing to do with it. The executives at HBO must all be Haye fanboys and Vlad will now be fighting for 50c on Showtime, or Versus. Faced with the choice between a fighter with a pulse who might beat him and another Soviet plodder, the bottler Klitschko takes the no-threat plodder who could barely get by Matt Skelton (another British fighter you probably fantasise about.) It's obvious which one of us is obsessed with Haye and British fighters in general.
I don't care if Vlad-Chagaev don't have the blessing of HBO... What I care is seeing a HW championship fight to happen (the winner here will be crown the RING HW Champion)... I also think Vlad-Chagaev a much better fight than Vlad-Haye for Chagaev has a better resume at HW than Haye...
.
With or without HBO Wlad is still taking home a good 7 to 8 million. Poor guy. Facts are Gaye had his fight. Everything was a go. Less than 20 day left and he pulls out. Bad hand. No. Wait a minute. Bad back. Yeah that's it. :beat: All this talk about waiting a couple of weeks was just that. Talk. No legit bad injury heals in weeks. Only made up back injuries heal that quick. Facts are Gaye punked out. In his own words this is an easy fight for him. He was going to destroy Wlad. What the fukk happened? Can't destroy somebody when your ass is on the sidelines. Gaye has no back problem. It's a heart problem.
Ruslan Chagaev has over 20 fights at heavyweight AND has holds/held (we don't know what the WBA is going to do) a title AT HEAVYWEIGHT.....oh yes, that is a HUGE step down for Wladimir
I want to see David Haye KO'd apparently as much as you do...if he fights either Wlad or Vitali David Haye can go ahead and call it a career, he will be ruined...that's not me being a fan, that's being realistic about David Haye's chances.
You're just making silly posts full of rubbish. Since when did you become a back specialist? You don't have time in between obsessing over British fighters and pretending to be a gangster. Haye still wants to fight, Junior is the one bottling the fight here. Even though HBO aren't interested he's still going to "fight" another east European southpaw midget in another snoozer. And the only reason he'll make decent money doing it is Haye already sold 60 000 tickets for the fight.
