Well, there's only one Dave in this contract with a history of pulling out of fights.... Then again, I can't imagine they've really had to put too much cash up to get the fight either.

I've spat more interesting bits of kebab out on the floor compared to that undercard, really don't get how he's sold out the O2. Unless he's been giving them away to disadvantaged children and their families.
I never knew how Froch v Groves sold 80,000 tickets and what the fuss was all about. Benn v Eubank was bigger and Ricky Hatton never got that crowd.
It was everywhere. I had mates talking to me about it who were not even boxing fans, was like a dream, everyone talking boxing:p

It was huge. Not as huge as when Hatton fought Floyd though IMO. Ricky took almost 30,000 fans to Vegas with him and apparently only around 4000 actually got into the event. That's a hell of a lot of people watching on big screens when they could have stayed at home and paid £15. Ricky Hatton was a huge draw here, it's a shame Khan didn't come along a little sooner, they would have filled Wembley.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
It wouldn't matter if the entire undercard was binned, it's all about Haye.
DAVE were never even showing any live undercard fights. It's David Haye at 9.30 then selected highlights if needed.

Its going to be his career highlights of the last 3.5 years.
Haye pulling out against Char, Haye pulling out against Fury, Haye again pulling out against Fury then interviews with the doctors he visited and reviewing the hurt my selfies he took.
That should take a couple of hours up!

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
Yeah one fight that could last 60 seconds is shit but that's what you get on free TV (and what you get on non Matchroom/Warren cards).
9-11pm.

To pretty much sell out the O2 arena single handidly with zero promotion and a shit undercard is fucking impressive.... add to that its 2 weeks after Xmas and NYE when people are skint and its very very fucking impressive.
One thing Haye has always been is brilliant at marketing himself.
If he delivers by KO then he will get a title shot within 12 months, id bet my house on that ;)
The big question is can he still bang after the shoulder op?
If he has a nice juicy scar round the shoulder then maybe Ross will shut the fuck up hahaha
I think its great he's come back as i've not seen lively discussions on the Heavyweight division on here for years :)

Never bet the house on a fight. There are great examples every year but just remember Ali vs Foreman.
Ross will never shut up, if he's not talking he's asleep, even then he's probably dreaming about what he's going to say! ;D
I was actually thinking this morning would be interesting to see if theres any scar. Going by all the vain twats pictures and videos on his twitter there arent any.

Maybe the makeup artist will have to add the scar for weighins and fights;D
they may have gone in through his groin
They went in the shoulder judging by this picture;D

Im scepitical at the best of times but regarding Haye id need to see photo or video evidence of the actual operation.
Put it this way what evidence is there that they was a problem or any surgery other than Haye telling us and showing a photo of himself with no evidence in that image of any problem or surgery. I could sit in a hospital room dressed up. These are the le gths he had to go to to avoid a loss to Fury.
Where is the scan or xray of the shoulder? What is the mame of the surgeon? What suregery actually took place? Where is the scar? Why hasnt anyone pressed him on any of this? With the Furys and plenty of other people who arent naive enough to believe it saying its bullshit, surely he would want to prove it was real? I mean who the fuck goes to the effort of having a selfie while in hospital anyway?
Like I say theres been plenty of photos of the area of skin where he was patched up with no scarring at all. Wait until the weighin amd or fight where he migt remember it should be visable and he might have the make up artist out again, unless as I suspect, he just doesnt hive a fuck anyway

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
16 of Haye's 24 KOs have come in the first three rounds. 20 of 24 inside five rounds.
Haye doesn't rush anything which would suggest when he clumps you with a good'un it's goodnight Vienna. Being out of the ring for 50 years through injury, I expect he would like to go a few rounds. However, considering Haye's money punch is his right hand, and looking at where De Mori holds his left, Haye will do well not to blast his head off real quick. Unusually for Haye at heavyweight he has a height and reach advantage too.
RD 1 - 6/1
RD 2 - 5/1
RD 3 - 5/1
RD 4 - 5/1
RDs 1-3 - 5/4
RDs 4-6 - 2/1

Eric, It's patently obvious that Ross isn't the slightest bit interested in watching the fight. No matter how it pans out, he's gonna slag Haye off.
But one thing's for sure, if Haye gets KO'd or beat, Ross will be on here all night , 40th Wedding anniversary party or not . I think it's called TROLLING! ;D;)

Wait until the weighin amd or fight where he migt remember it should be visable and he might have the make up artist out again, unless as I suspect, he just doesnt hive a fuck anyway
where are you watching the fight on Saturday?
I wont be.
Im at a 40th wedding anniversary party.
they might have a tv in the bar
Eric, It's patently obvious that Ross isn't the slightest bit interested in watching the fight. No matter how it pans out, he's gonna slag Haye off.
But one thing's for sure, if Haye gets KO'd or beat, Ross will be on here all night , 40th Wedding anniversary party or not . I think it's called TROLLING! ;D;)
you say he isn't interested, but I reckon in reality he might have a little bone on about it

Stop quoting one another would help and the one letter at a time depends on your screen size and view.

A decent Mod would delete all that rubbish.
I purposely got this thread to a new page to get rid of all that unreadable quoting bollocks. You can argue between yourselves by using the @ button. That way the people that want to speak about the topic don't have to suffer scrolling through a load of bollocks

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
Well it would be bullshit if you said it:rolleyes:

Yeah turn it the fuck in some of you it's annoying.
So it's looking more and more likely that Haye will bang him out in a few rounds, I was pretty sold watching the training clips on BBC2 last night of McGuigan Jnr smashing Hayes stomach while Haye was hanging at arms length from a bar above him.
Haye looks in great shape for this one and it's said Shane is bringing a lot of new things to his training and they work well together.
Who you picking and what route will he choose for fight 2 of the comeback.?
Id guess the Wilder route, If he wins of course.

Haye will pick the easiest route to the title which may be the IBF belt stripped from Fury, Wilder, Joshua and Fury in that order.

David Haye makes comeback against Mark de Mori... but what can viewers expect from free-to-air entertainment channel Dave?
When David Haye announced he was returning to the ring, it was widely assumed his fight would be screened on Sky Sports.
But his heavyweight comeback against Mark de Mori on Saturday night will break the mould and be shown on free-to-air entertainment channel Dave.
Here, Sportsmail takes a look at what you can expect from the self-proclaimed 'home of witty banter'.
David Haye insists he always wanted his first fight back from injury to be on free TV as a reward for his fans' loyalty. Are you listening @Mark TKO
That immediately ruled out Sky Sports and Box Nation and in the end Dave was chosen over the more obvious choices of ITV and Channel 5, both of which have recently shown boxing.
No, this will be the first time Dave has broadcast a live sporting event but they are confident they have a team in place which will deliver the goods.
Production company Giant Film and TV have worked in MMA and director John Watts has a wealth of experience in boxing broadcasting.
David Green, director of Giant, told Sportsmail: 'From a sport point of view, it will still have all the credentials and integrity of a big boxing fight.'
Paul Dempsey will anchor the two-hour show. Having moved from radio into television, he has worked for Sky Sports, Setanta and most recently BT Sport.
While at Sky he worked on fights involving Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson and has also worked at the World Cup and Olympics.
The commentary team will be made up of lead Ronald McIntosh, who has covered boxing at four Olympic Games, and cruiserweight boxer BJ Flores who is a friend of Haye.
Flores last fought last summer and has been working as an analyst in America on NBC for Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions series.
The only live fight will be the main event which is due to start at 9.45pm. After that is finished, there will be selected highlights from the five-fight undercard.
There will also be a half-hour preview show on Friday night from 8pm. It is believed there will be a break in the action of 45 minutes before Haye fights in which the fans in The O2 will be entertained by dance chart-toppers Sigma. It is unclear whether Dave will also show it.
Haye's fight will be the first ever to be broadcast live in 360 degrees. By downloading the Haymaker 360 app, fans can watch the action from all angles and access content relating to Haye's preparation for the fight.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
MARK DE MORI
The Aussie has fought against the odds all his life and admits he is lucky to be alive after suffering chronic asthma as a kid.
There were times when his parents came close to losing him, but the fighter inside saw him through more than his fair share of dark days.
He revealed: "I had a lot of really bad asthma as a kid, being in hospital, missing school. Sport was one thing I was good at but I was always in trouble with asthma. I am still a bad asthmatic brought on by allergic reactions and not exercise.
As a kid it wasn't easy with the asthma but it is something that I have learned to live with.
I learned to live with disappointment but number one is my health. I carry my asthma medications with me everywhere, I won't leave the house without it, that's how it is for me these days. I carry my inhaler with me everywhere, even if I am just going to the shopping centre, just in case...
I was in hospital a lot as a kid, basically sitting on the bed with the machine that helps asthmatics breath there. It was to keep me going. There was one occasion when I was about 15 and I was rushed to hospital so they could pump me full of drugs to keep me alive.
I suppose you could call it uncontrollable at the time and maybe that is why I am so obsessed with carrying my meds with me everywhere. For some reason I never really worried about it as a kid - I developed an 'if it happened it happened' mentality. But looking back now, there were a lot of close touches.
De Mori even took the drastic step of quitting Australia to live in Croatia because his condition eased considerably there.
He explained: "Now I am living in Croatia in a city called Split and one of the main reasons is that my asthma is much better there.
In Australia it is a lot worse, certain places I go, I notice within the first three hours how my asthma is going to be.
Why is it better in some place than others? Well I guess it is to do with the pollen from the flowers or the trees and dust as well. I just have to be really careful."
De Mori knows he will have to be really careful against Haye, and that he doesn't get caught cold on the Hayemaker's ring return after three years out.
He said: "Haye is obviously the favourite and everyone knows who he is. Even if I am extremely nervous before a fight I know what my character is and as soon as that bell goes, I just fight with all my heart.
I've gone into fights with injuries that I've hidden but still fought with my all my heart. Whatever the pressure or people booing me the bell goes and I give my best.
We have all seen fantastic fighters who have the athletic ability, stamina, strength and size but they can't handle the big time atmosphere, the big moment and they just crumble. I guess I have an inner confidence to fight.
I know Haye will come out and hit me with a shot that will hurt but he is going to feel me fight back.
I won't be falling over or looking for a way out. I won't be charging in there with my chin hanging out.
A lot people over look me because they don't know me. But when they watch me spar, they know I have a good jab, a good defence and am very crafty.
If people want to believe I am limited because of the way I am built, they don't really see the other qualities I have. That suits me. It's the biggest fight of my life, not the biggest of Haye's, not like when he fought Wladimir Klitschko.
Now he has a new trainer, three years out, maybe a bit rusty...who knows what will happen when the first bell goes?"
