No one doubts that a boxers life is dangerous, but he made that choice to live a lifestyle that puts himself in danger for the entertainment of the fans. Therefore he is obligated to do that ONE thing to get a paycheck step in the ring and entertain the fans.
Right.. maybe he believes it's best for him to decide his future not fans ;)
It's not like the fans are asking him to do something he wasn't claiming he wanted to do himself, this is where the rub is.
But you're so impatient, Killer

If that's the case, then stop talking about the brothers. Defend the WBA strap against other guys and come out and say I'm not fighting Wlad or Vitali and I can't back up the shit talking I did.
Most fans of the sport won't say anything about the subject anymore about Wlad/vitali-haye. We'll just talk about other fighters in the sport and other possible fights.
Come on, you love Haye threads.
Is it concrete he's not fighting a Klit?
Going by historical records the magic eightball says "outcome not likely"

It means that I get what I asked for, and I get to be entertained by the only meaningful fight at heavyweight. I love arguing with you. You are calling me out, for calling Haye out on his own words.
As long as the Yanks get all wound-up everyone wins :P
Re: " David "Haye is not considering any opponents right now, he needs rest"
Haye has been talking the big fight for ages now and nothing at all has materialised regarding the Klits. He has fought and edged the weakest of the title holders and then fought a Ruiz who is closer to 40 than 30.
How patient does one need to be with David Haye before he finally steps up to the plate?

It's 3am where I am. I've been drinking since 3pm yesterday. You guys have been arguing with a guy that doesn't know what he was arguing about.
Hope this helps.
And goodnight.

"Once I have snatched Valuev's title, I will be happy to battle out heavyweight supremacy with the Klitschkos, but only on equal and fair terms. I only hope the Klitschkos still want to fight me after I have slayed 'The Beast.'" - David Haye
"I'm a boxing fan first and whenever I'm looking for an opponent, I think who can I fight that the fans want me to fight; who would I want me to fight?" - David Haye

It's unlikely that Team Junior will have agreed to this immediately, so seeing as how they're still at the stage of making offers and counteroffers and seeing how Junior is, as Fenster has pointed out, publicly chasing Haye, then Team Haye are just negotiating through the press here. I'm sure if Junior agreed to a 50/50 split tomorrow Haye would decide he's had enough rest thank you and let's get the fight on. It's all about the money, it's not whether one guy is scared of fighting another.
Completely correct. At least someone is upto date with events.
Negotiations started last Thursday between Booth and the Klitschko camp.
David Haye is on holiday and Booth always handles the negotiations.
I had wondered why we hadn't heard anything yet - maybe the volcanic ash that has stopped anyone flying in Northern Europe until today had something to do with it. (Haye will probably get blamed for the volcano erupting ;D )
As for the original article - looks like its 'sour grapes' by Mr. Davies as Booth didn't give him the exclusive that he was hoping for. Skysports news will be the 1st to know, not some London broadsheet.
Negotiations must be going pretty well as no news after a week.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Negotiations are ongoing. People read way too much into what these so called journalists say.
As for the volcano erupting, it was Hayes fault..... ask Lyle!!
Re: " David "Haye is not considering any opponents right now, he needs rest"
Isnt that what managers always say about their fighters?
That they are getting a rest and etc and boxers say that too.
Usually after a fight they get asked who they want next they usually say "Thats up to my promoters right now im gonna take a rest and relax"
And stuff like that, so it doesnt sound any different to me when a promoter says their fighter is resting before they pick other fighters for them to fight, unless something has changed and they are automatically ready for another fight after a training camp and title defense.

I agree that this makes him look really bad though.
....the actions of the yellow pride of England have made my previous posts fact......FACT
I think his credibility has been suspect for some time now to be honest. He looked very good against Ruiz and I think he would pose a threat to both Klitscko's (whether or not he would win is another matter), but he seems content to run his mouth, keep his name in the spotlights, and take lesser fights to pad his bank account. Hope that changes soon.
To be fair, he might aswell milk it. He'll fight the Klits at some point, that i am sure of.
