Just think what sort of fighter he would have been if cus was still alive.
Oh come on....Tyson would have still been bipolar, he would have still burned out early because that's how pressure fighters work. If you're a pressure fighter in your mid 20's then congrats you've gone as far as you'll ever go just look at the guys who used the style.

THAT, Lyle.... is disrespectful.
Ernie Terrell? C'mon, man.
And no disrespect to the great Smokin' Joe, but Frazier? Tyson murders even a prime Frazier inside of 5 rounds. Joe never got hit with anything like what Tyson would have to offer, at least not from Ali. And Foreman? Foreman was big and powerful... but his punches were slower and more telegraphed. Tyson would've landed a powerful combo on Joe's head faster than you could blink.
Again, I'm not the world's biggest Tyson fan..... but give the guy his just due.
Yes I know how I've slagged on Bowe, so you're saying there's no chance he can beat Tyson? I don't think that at all. I think Bowe could have had his spots vs Tyson and what it would boil down to is could Bowe take the punches....if he could he'd win by KO if not then he'd lose by KO.
Ernie Terrell was HUGE and he only got stopped 2 times in his career. 1 vs Cleveland Williams and 1 the last fight of his very long career. He was 6'6 and had an 82" reach, more of a boxer than a power puncher so he'd have to keep pumping those punches out and not get gunshy. He was also a guy who would try to be a bully in the ring.
Joe Frazier did take a few rounds to warm up, I admit that and Tyson did come out with both barrels blazing....but each round that passes Frazier gets stronger, Frazier builds up momentum and Tyson starts losing it.
Now George Foreman is where I draw the damn line...Mike Tyson didn't even want to fight 45 year old George Foreman what would he do with a younger version??? George Foreman was meaner and tougher and nastier than anything in the darkest depths of Tyson's nightmares and Big George would run roughshod over Tyson.
You misunderstood and I can see why now that I reread my post. When I said "And Foreman?" I wasn't referring to Tyson vs. Foreman. I was finishing my point about Frazier. That Frazier took everything Ali could dish out, but would not be able to the same against Tyson. And that if people want to say that Foreman only knocked Frazier out because he was bigger and stronger, thus implying that Tyson wouldn't be able to...... my answer is that Big George's punches to Frazier were slower and a bit more telegraphed than anything Tyson would throw at Frazier.
For the record, I think Tyson has very little chance against a prime Foreman.
Foreman was downright scary.
Re: Mike Tyson prime vs David tua prime
I disagree I think prime Tyson beats Prime Foreman but certainly he would have beaten the old one that came out looking for him before prison.

I can see why you'd feel that way, and certainly if they fought 10 times, I don't think either man takes the 10 fights. But with Foreman I think of the combination of size, power, and attitude. He was mean... and he wanted to decapitate you then and there. Many of Tyson's victims were beaten before they stepped into the ring. (Regardless... scared or not, I think Tyson still takes them all). But Foreman again had that combination of factors. It would've been an awesome fight, and maybe a matter of who connected first.

...which would bring me to Ron Lyle a guy who had an awesome career considering the time he lost out on and how he almost died in prison because he was stabbed. Ron Lyle, not that he would necessarily beat Tyson but I think he'd be around the Bruno, James Smith, Donovan Ruddock area.
But what Ron Lyle tells us about a Foreman-Tyson fight is that Big George could get back up and win....Iron Mike never did that

Tyson has faced much bigger punchers than Tua
Like who? LOL.

has and world class fighters, rather than the roll call of fringe bums that Tua plodded along with
Frank bruno and donovan ruddock? LOL. Even then he was matched punch for punch v donovan and was rocked by average bruno! Prime Rahman would have kayoed both of those! Moorer outboxes the holmes tyson fought!

Tua would have done no better with the Holmes that Tyson faced
He would have brutalised him, u r beng silly now! Holmes had 4 weeks to train and was in retirement! Tyson fans are insane! The fact that u have to mention a 40yr old holmes shows how shit his resume is!

What the fuck are you on about! Where dyou get your info?
What makes you think Holmes only had 4 weeks to get ready?
He was interviewed after the Biggs fight with King and they both said that Holmes did a 15 roumd exhibition in front of King to prove he was still fit. This exhibition was before the Biggs fight and that was 3 months before hos fight with Tyson! In total he was in training for this fight probably at least 15 weeks! As for the time out, Mayweather was out longer when he fought Marquez.

Do u do request's? Mr 'Integrity' Don 'The Homicidal Maniac' King and Featherfisted Tyrell Biggs in an exhibition bout! LOL.
Holmes was 39-years-old and out of the ring for nearly two years, Holmes did not fight for over three years following the loss too!
It's well know he only had a few weeks to train...Look at the state of him:

Embarassing that u try and make good of that situaton.
Re: Mike Tyson prime vs David tua prime
Bruno was not an average puncher Philosopher.

Your making yourself look so much more a twat;D
I didnt even say the exhibition was with Biggs! If tou watched the video youd see it was at the Tyson v Biggs fight. They talk about the exhibition having already happened.
Like I said, other fighters have been out longer after retirement and come back to beatworld class fighters.
Dyou really think someone with Holmes ego and dislike for Tyson and his popularity would just sit on their ass and leave the training till 4 weeks before the fight when he knew more than 3 months in advance?;D
I tell you what, ill go down B&Q and buy you a long reach scraper so you can get deeper in that barrel for some bullshit. Youll have to ait your turn behind lyle while he tries to pull Mercer (who lost to Holmes) out;D
Also, no wonder your always wrong if these are the sort of places you get you info from. Tyson splattered Holmes in 88;D
Re: Mike Tyson prime vs David tua prime
Re: Mike Tyson prime vs David tua prime
How long dyou think it would take the marauding, powerfull, destructive Tua to stop Chris Byrd?;D
Re: Mike Tyson prime vs David tua prime
I'd take Tyson on points curiously enough.
I know we're talking about 2 huge punchers here, but they both had excellent chins.
I think Tyson's greater handspeed, head movement & punch combinations would seal it, as Tua was a bit over reliant on his Left hook.
Re: Mike Tyson prime vs David tua prime
Baffled by people that rate Tua so highly.

Tua seems to get overrated off the back of the Ibeabuchi fight.
Somewhat ironically, Ibeabuchi is overrated off the back of the Tua fight, that & the fact he was incarcerated in his prime.
