I've found pretty much all of his fights to be exciting, or interesting to watch. Except a few of his fights above Jr Welterweight. At Super Feathweight he was a pleasure to watch, because he could be a boxer/puncher, because he had pretty heavy hands at that weightclass.
The fights with Baldomir and even De La Hoya wee snoozers, for me anyways. Hatton fight was hilarious in its own way. The Gatti{RIP}fight was very entertaining if you like slaughterhouses;D The Judah debacle was great. But yeah those Angel Manfredy days were good fun and he was dynamic. I just think he's a butt hole but you'd have to be an intern at the Institute for the Blind to ignore his talent.
That's exactly where i stand with Floyd! At the lower weights he was very exciting to watch; amazing skill mixed with knockout power. He did have some boring fights but to label him a "boring fighter" is personal preference, not a fact.
My negative feelings towards the guy is based on his mouth. Calling himself the "cash cow," saying he's the best fighter to ever fight, certain excuses he throws out there about why he doesn't fight certain people, etc. I respect the fighter, but I don't respect the person.

I'll admit to Floyd fighting a more dangerous version of Oscar. But did you really expect Manny who fought at 130 at March of 2008 to be able to fight Oscar at 154 by December of the same year?

I tend to like skillful fighters over exciting brawling type fighters, of course i like to see a good toe to toe war like anybody else. But i just love the way a good boxer breaks down an opponent, like James Toney for example.

In the Baldomir fight everyone who didn't leave in the 9th, 10th, or 11th rounds were booing. Rarely if ever is such a negative reaction seen in a championship fight, but floyd managed to get one. And baldomir has one of the lower ko % you can get. Floyd still didnt take a single risk. That's why people were walking out early, that's why people boo'd him, that's why he isn't the PPV draw he seems to think he is.
Fact remains his opponents are the main draw in every mega fight he has been in, not him.

I think Floyd is just afraid he'd about to be hid int he head real good... and woke up knowing his fight won't sell...
I respect FMJ, and I like his boxing.. I think he is one of the best fighter of all time.. but he doesn't put the body work on.. He should have fough my guy Mosley 2 years ago... this year... or maybe Cotto, it is just a waste of greatness when your head is in the cloud.. not knowing when to bow down..
He will instead bow out as the biggest jerk in boxing...

The second argument Mayweather makes is if there is a fight to determine which man is better in the ring, he will receive the majority of the money from it.

I agree. But this is also a business. This is their careers and they want to be paid accordingly.
I just don't see why Pacquiao's people wouldn't take the fight. Mayweather said he wants it, he has the proof of drawing more against the 2 most recent common opponents, it's the fight the fans want to see.
There should be no reason negotiations shouldn't be taking place as we speak. I really hope they are.

In terms of PPV buys it's obviously harder to determine who the buyers were following but no doubt Oscar Dela Hoya and Ricky Hatton brought a shit load to the table in terms of Buying power.... The fact that Floyds most recent fight aint selling so well further supports my point.

Like I've said real fight fans just wanna see a good fight, most don't care who gets the lions share but the diehard fanboys of either fighters.
I don't give a shit if Pacman gets 40% of the purse or Floyd gets 60% of it and vice versa, I just want to see a good fight.

There are reasons why Floyd's fights with De La Hoya and Hatton made more than Pacquiao's:
A) De La Hoya fighting for thye P4P Title at his preferred weight
B) The hype surrounding an UNBEATEN Ricky Hatton
C) Much better economic times
D) Both Pacquiao fights were seen as mismatches and on one was sure how a former flyweight champ could perform against a top welterweight
The thing Floyd and his biased followers don't realize is that NONE of these have ANY correlation to who is the biggest draw in boxing today which is obviously Manny Pacquiao.
