and come on dude, do you REALLY think oscar, hatton and clottey were more dangerous than margarito? seriously? the oscar that pacquiao fought would have been beaten by any decent fighter. this is not taking anything away from pacquiao because he did his job but come on, seriously, oscar was like a walking zombie that night. and ricky hatton? listen, i love ricky to death but mayweather ruined him or maybe he wasn't all that good to begin with. sure he was the lineal champ at jr. welter but he never fought maidana, alexander, ortiz, kotelnik or bradley. how can you call him the absolute champ at that division without fighting any of these guys? maybe, just maybe there is a reason why his management never put him in with these guys, do you think? one more thing, hatton's signature win was against an aging kostya tszyu. great win but in name recognition only. tszyu was but a shell of his former great self.
and please, i know you can't be serious about clottey can you? i mean, yes, pacquiao did his job but you know, i know and everybody knows clottey was only there to survive, collect the biggest paycheck of his career and brag to everyone that he didn't get KO'd by pacquiao.
let me ask you again, after reading my comments, do you REALLY think oscar, hatton and clottey were much more dangerous than margarito will be?
damn straight Margarito was weight drained, they made him take 20 lbs off of each fist...:-X

here's the difference between you and i concerning this big fight. i look at it as a realist. in that, never, ever dispel your opponent as something he's perceived. the sport of boxing is probably one of the most unpredictable sports there is because all it takes is one punch (or a couple), and in this case, margarito is going to throw an average of 100 punches per round. two, styles make fights. the forementioned fighters like oscar, hatton and clottey were just stationary fighters who DIDN'T come forward. margarito on the other hand, is a pressure fighter, with a great chin, with a 6 inch. reach advantage and a 4 inch height advantage. he's going to come after pacquiao from round one. the question is this, how is pacquiao going to react to this? also, everyone talks about the speed advantage pacquiao has. well, that's true but can you ever name me a past margarito opponent who didn't have a speed advantage? this isn't nothing new for margarito. he's used to being the slow guy but with his toughness and grit, he mostly always seems to wear the other fighters down. and since pacquiao is so small, don't you think margarito has a chance to wear him down?
look, the main difference between you and me on this fight is i'm looking at it like a true boxing fan but you're looking at it like a true nuthugger. i do not always believe what i read like fans like you.
peace!
Damn. Too bad I can't sig bet a troll like you.;D I wish you had at least 1000 posts.
Look. Margo may have a great chin but I strongly believe that he will get cut badly. He will get stopped David Diaz style. I doubt that speed is something Marg can substantially increase at this point in his career. No he can't and won't be throwing 100 punches per round. Roach saw his last 2 fights and I've seen them too.
Cheato is a rugged edifice built on technical faults. He has not fought for a year after being suspended when he was found to have loaded up his wraps and his last fight was far from interesting in a ten round match that ended in a Unanimous Decision in his favor against Garcia whom Roach described as a nice guy who just couldn’t fight. Margarito at best is more hittable than DLH. He has practically no defense and just keeps on coming forward that way, and if he continues to do that he will become Manny’s perfect fodder, who thinks Margarito is so slow he throws a punch on Tuesday and lands it on Friday if it ever lands on anything at all with Pacquiao ducking and weaving, firing back with combinations in between.
The main difference between you and me is I'm just a simple boxing fan, and you're a hateful troll. You're boxing ignorance has been proven many times buddy. ;)

Pacquioa will have to fight one of the more boxer disciplined fights he's had in last 4 or 5 as Margarito's when getting effected he wont back and his uppercut can be huge on Manny.
This version of Margarito is a shadow of the fighter who fought Miguel Cotto. Margarito's size is the only reason this fight might be competitive.
I think alot of the past it talk is a bit outta whack. People cutting conclusions pre and post glove gate,he cant do what he did...not to mention the shellacking Mosley put on him and how ANY fighter comes back from 1st ko loss. Manny has natural gifts, speed, tenacity, momentum and drive that many dream of and I lean towards him to put on a disciplined power-box display for win. But sometimes size and volume get it done, who knows. He's not faced a frontal, offensive minded and long natural sized guy like this...Cotto off two wars was the only "live" guy he's faced and after all Pac is the one coming up. Say one thing....1st to be backed in straight line gets ktfo.

"I want to prove that I'm better than him. The truth is I have the hunger to be a champion again and I have more dreams that I need to fullfill. I never stopped training. I had faith that this opportunity would come again. Pacquiao already has a record of Beating a Lot of Mexicans, and now it's my turn to Stop him. I know I can Beat him," said Margarito.

but yeah, if pacquiao can beat margarito, i will call it like it is and will give pacquiao all the props he deserves.
nice! i'm sure pacquiao would be glad to hear that. ;)
