Two British heavyweights in front of 40,000 people. Am I correct? I haven't read the whole thread, but I assume you are pulling for David Haye. You think he makes it a boring fight like he did with Wlad and Valuev? Play it safe and use his legs?
He won't play it safe to that degree he'' counter off the back foot like he did vs Ruiz and I expect similar fireworks early on to that night too. Not sure Del Boy has what it takes to get up from that first 1-2 Haye hit Ruiz with. 0.26 on the video

And that was with very little sparring after BJ Flores cut him.
Re: Haye v Chisora... I'm picking Del Boy to stop Haye late.
For the Haye fans out there, here is what Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports, told ESPN UK about The Haye Effect: “We have shelved pay-per-view boxing for the time being because of a couple of bad experiences we had….There was general dissatisfaction with the Haye v Harrison fight, and then the Haye v Klitschko fight, so we don’t think it’s a great time to ask the public for more investment into pay-per-view boxing.” From a great boxing blog here
Here's another great quote: "As for Haye, last July he performed with enough dog in him to make him an honorary member of the Westminster Kennel Club."

That's a misleading article.
The PPV numbers for Haye's fights were massive (even though the spectacle was disappointing). Sky were also showing Khan and certain Frank Warren fighters as PPV. Haye retired after the Klitschko fight and Warren set-up his own TV station. Khan was refused PPV so moved to another tiny channel (then came back to regular Sky Sports). Sky announced they were dropping PPV at the exact same time all the PPV fighters left the channel. Coincidence?
Haye is fighting tonight in front of 30/40,000 ticket buyers and is on a subsricption (PPV) channel.
Whether or not people like Haye - to paint him as a failure when it comes to generating HUGE amounts of money is ridiculous.

For me Haye's biggest problem is the amount of money he is capable of generating. Barring Floyd and Pac I bet Haye has the highest wages for his last 5 fights in the sport. He's become a money first fighter to a degree, but I'm hoping to see a hungry fighter wanting to do damage tonight and I think that's what we will see.

Well, if your point is that whether or not fans were disappointed with Haye's Wladimir and Audley performances is irrelevant to an extent because they still were willing to shell out money to see Chisora versus Haye, it's a fair point.
However, the article wasn't pointing out that he hasn't been a financial success. The point of the article can be summed up in the last sentence of the first paragraph: "Barnum, “The Prince of Humbugs,” would no doubt have found his funny bone tickled vigorously week after week knowing that more than 30,000 fans shelled out millions of shekels to see a set-to between a journeyman heavyweight—Chisora—and a mouthy morning glory—Haye—whose last performance in the ring was universally condemned as a disgrace."

Let's hope so because he hasn't put on an exciting fight in a few years. Let's hope his animosity for Del Boy brings the dog out in him. With Chisora, you can make the argument, that average fighter he may be, but at least his scraps are entertaining.

Haye was in snoozefests against Wlad and Valuev, and that was because of their size and the fact that both knew how to use that size, obviously Wlad was the better at it. As for the Harrison fight he said all the way upto the fight he was going to get rid of him when he felt like it and I think it's fairly obvious he'd had a good wedge on the 3rd.
Other than them 3 I've never seen a boring Haye fight!

That is very patronising, offensive and bascially an insult to everyone that watches the fight and every boxing fan in the world.
He said - Anyone that watches this fight is a mug.
Re: Haye v Chisora... I'm picking Del Boy to stop Haye late.
I can't see Haye losing this one. He'll either stetcher him early or pop shot, grab and run away to victory. Haye demanding it stay at 10 rounds is a cowards move but it's also a smart move for someone who's been out almost a year and has had stamina problems before

What a badly constructed argument. If Chisora is nothing more than "a journeyman heavyweight" and Haye " a mouthy morning glory" then what is the problem with them fighting each other? If the writer pulled his head out of his arse for two minutes then the blinding light of day would perhaps enlighten him on the vapidity of his Barnum analogy. Boxing, entertainment, and the circus, were inextricably intertwined at birth and if the idea of such a fight being enjoyed in a country miles away from his own is so offensive to him then surely it is not too difficult to avoid. If it is so irrelevant then why mention it?

If the boxer is good enough, then the fighter never wins. See Mayweather's resume for any debate on that.
