And I don't think it's to set up another PPV with Eubank afterwards, if he didn't sign for the first fight why would he sign for the second one? And he's only got one fight left on his matchroom deal and his idiot dad will probably have him back fighting in shopping centres after that fight.
But why make this fight other than you're getting pressure from Sky? It could easily be a career ender for Brook. If he's able to stand up to Golovkin's power and get through the first couple of rounds he's going to get an absolute battering.
Sky have to pay the price for overpaying on the football contract by having these PPV dates. It is an absurd mis-match and yet they have to sell it as a competitive fight.

Wouldn't be the first time.
Re: GGG v Kell Brook 10th September - confirmed
This one is awful: a welterweight v middleweight. Ridiculous.
Re: GGG v Kell Brook 10th September - confirmed
I agree that Golovkin is going to be an overwhelming favourite (though British punters may move the odds a bit) ... But don't forget Leonard beat Hagler - OK not really - but Duran beat Barkley, Robinson beat LaMotta and Cotto beat Martinez

My mate text me earlier to see if I wanted to go to this, ideally yeah I would go just for the weekend away and the night out, yeah it's a joke of a fight but I still would have liked to go
Tickets are between £40 and £500 now I'm guessing that the £40 seats will be right up in the gods where the fighters will look like ants.
I've decided against it, tickets, beer, train tickets, B&B etc, it'd just be too damn expensive

It will sell out in a minute. Be very hard getting face value tickets.
Casimero v Edwards is a nice little fight on the undercard though.

I think you are right, stay at home with PPV and supermarket beer, sad but true. What should have been a relatively competitive middleweight fight is now potentially silly with a weight mismatch. I guess that EU snr just wants to snag some sort of title for his boy and then get him on the non combative celebrity cycle as a better income source, shame.

Keep seeing/reading Hearn waffle on about Brook walking around heavier than Golovkin. Yeah, he gets really fat outside the ring, Golovkin always looks in shape.
If.. if Brook does naturally hold the weight it will be interesting to see what happens when he starts ramming his mustard jab down Golovkin's throat. He is an elite level fighter.
Re: GGG v Kell Brook 10th September - confirmed
Golovkin always has a little dip in his fights that go on for a while so if you can get a foothold, there is opportunity for success, before he inevitably smashes your face in.

Strange fight but not Khan/Canelo bad. Still pretty messed up though.
