But the likes of arreola/chambers etc havent spent the last 18months claiming how they`d knock both guys spark out given the opportunity.
Im all for someone mouthing off if they are indeed genuinely confident and ready to fight the person they are spouting off about. If however they pussy foot around both guys like haye has done you have to take them with a grain of salt.

Obviously this is mutilayered with a ton of hair on it. Haye is a pain in the ass with a loudmouth, but I love what he brings to the table he is a great talent and showman. problem is he will have not fought for 10 months, and while I enjoy him as a prize fighter, with him not fighting he is just another mouthy prick who should be smased in the face with a coal shovel.
So I can see how his detractors want him in an electric chair when even his stanchest supporters are growing weary, but the Setanta and back debacle was a unique circumstance and as far as Vitali goes he is the best brother of the 2 and was the lineal Heavy before his brother backed into the title. Vitali is 2x as tough as Wlad with an iron chin and terminator type will. I'm sure when everyone looked at the proposed deal and weighed it out, ultimately the juice wasn't worth the squeeze at this point.
Haye will beat Valuev and then will have a strap to bring to the party and we'll at best close the gap in the contract stipulations with the Klits, besides Valuev is a puss who wouldnt fight my mother and has been harboring a title he has been gifted a few times already, be nice to see David lighten Niks waist a little and put that title in the real mix

What's Sam Peter doing these days? I'd think that would be a decent fight and give Haye at least more rspectability if he wins. Sam retired now or something:confused:

Come november haye would of officially had 1 fight in the last 20 months. The guy is a 30 year old man who claims he is coming towards the end of his career despite being only 20 fights in and who`s career highlight was beating enzo maccarinelli which he has fed off now for the last 2 years.
Ive no issue with david haye the person, heavyweight boxing desperately needs egos like him especially in this day and age. What f*cks me off time and time again though is that he seems to believe he is now capable of being a very unique boxer who only fights once a year ala:trinidad, hopkins etc despite the fact the man has nothing to his CV to suggest he should be doing so and most including me are quite convinced he is living off an overfed reputation that he knows full well will be fully exposed once he gets in a ring with either klitschko (especially vitali as you have pointed out already)
Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
He's probably gone for more money with valuev but after all the talk i wanted to see him fight at least one klit. I think he'll give valuev hell though and have him quit on his stool ala Golota vs Tyson.

Sam isn't retired, I think he's trying to get his life back in order, he's fighting this weekend vs Marcus McGee.
Sam Peter is 28, he's got a lot of youth left in him if he can change his style and rededicate himself he can be competitive with the top rated contenders. I don't think that is out of the question, but he has to be 100% about getting better, he has to improve his defense, his handspeed, and he has to be dedicated to winning.
I want to see how he would do against Andrew Golota or Ray Austin before I make up my mind.
David Haye is a joke

He probably wouldn't fight Peter either. I agree with everything you say; especially Sam actually being dedicated, which imo is his biggest hurdle. Would be a good fight and a measuring stick on Hardyharrrrr Haye;D

While I figure Haye has more punching power right now than Evander Holyfield, I still want to see what happens when Nicolay Valuev hits him.....Nicolay is allowed to hit him in the contract right???

Lyle, when we had a conversation about Haye a while ago, you told me he didn't deserve a shot at the Klitschko's. When I questioned you if you would feel better about him getting a title shot if he fought against Valuev or Chagaev first, you said you would. So now that he's done what you would have preferred him to do, why are you using the fact that he doesn't want to be tied to a 3 fight Klitschko deal for shitty money as a way of saying he's scared. Who in their right mind would want shitty money for the first fight, then if you won and became champion, still take the shitty money in the rematch...and then the shitty money against the brother?
So I'll flip it and ask you this question...
If the Klitschko's are so confident of giving Haye a beating for 12 rounds leaving him with a pizza face, then why do they have a rematch clause, and a clause saying if he wins the rematch that he has to fight the brother?
All that suggests right there is that the Klitschko's believe there is a serious chance of David Haye winning.

The contract he had signed to fight Wlad is the same contract they gave him with Vitalis name on it was ok before the "back injury" what changed !!
any heavyweight has a chance of beating any other but you have to get in the ring to fight first
Hayes inactivity is a joke didn't he say he was going to clean up the division

Well to be honest yes I did say exactly what you posted about Haye not deserving a title shot or a fight with Wlad or Vitali. HOWEVER the way David Haye went about getting this shot at Valuev was not very professional.
Also rematch clauses are common place Lennox Lewis-Hasim Rahman springs to mind as a fight that had a rematch clause....was Lennox scared of Rahman or was he just making a solid fight contract???
Listen, you can try and spin David Haye any way you want to, it's not going to change the FACT that all he has done for the last 8 months is run his fucking mouth like a little punk

I see where you are coming from with Haye. He is a loud mouth. He does come off sounding like a cocky arsehole who runs his mouth. He hasn't fought for 8 months. He has done alot of talking about the Klitschko's and hasn't backed it up yet.
And yes...while rematch clauses are common practice, I think 2 suggests they're worried. If you beat 1 brother twice, you have to fight the other next. C'mon? If Wlad was so sure Haye was getting a beating for 12 rounds and a Pizza face, then why does he need a big big brother clause in the contract?
Sonny78, the financial benefits of the Wlad contract would have been better. Reason for this is that Haye had the British TV rights and pretty much nothing else. However, Setanta were paying mega money to outbid Sky for boxing, and they would have paid well. However, they're now out of business and since ITV are pulling out of Boxing, the only TV company that are willing to pay out for Boxing in the UK now is Sky. Since they have no competition, there is no bidding war, so they won't be paying the same amount that Setanta were, hence why Haye probably said he was not signing that deal again.
If Haye beats Valuev and becomes WBA Champion, he has much better bargaining power with the Klitschko's. It's the smart thing to do from a business point of view.
