I'm not a fan of Tarver's at all, but I thought he would make it a closer fight than it was. Chad fought a good, smart fight, and I agree he looked better than his last fight.

Sam was just completely out of his league. He found out what a HW was. He looked so small. It was kindof funny, at one time this feared pucher looked like a small child.

this is one of the times I can say, I'm glad I was wrong about BCD and Tarver.. I figured that Lucky bastard would check his chin and steal glory one last time.. Havent seen the fight but Chad sounds like he redeemed himself after the Johnson fight he clearly lost..

I know its not the fighters fault when the judges rule in their favor when its controversial but I have had trouble in the past with letting that get to me.. Prime example Jermain Taylor.. The guy IMO lost 1 to B-HOP I thought Winky won and so did Spinks, I was afraid Dawson was gonna be the cable darling and get by on undeserved hype and being a poster boy like Taylor was last year..

BCD left little doubt about who he was and got a little education against Johnson, I just feel bad for Glen since he has gotten the shaft so many times, you think he deserved the close nod by now, dont know why I'm rambling but congrats Chad for dazzling tonight :appl:

Floyd Mayweather said he thought Chad Dawson was the best fighter in the world.

Let's keep thing in persepective. First, what Vitali did was truly remarkable. Second, Peter quit perhaps to fight another day, but didn't Vitali do the same against Byrd? I think slamming Peter for doing the same thing his oppenent did is a bit illogical. Peter took a beating, a bad one. His eye was closinbg and he was bleeding from the mouth. He was done. Vitali, rather than do what Danny Williams did against Mark Potter, quit rather than fight a feather-fisted foe. :confused:

Once they arrived in the fourth and final round, Marquez finally found pay dirt for his heavy hand landing a crushing right hand to the body that dropped Morales where he stood. I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if this has been discussed, but how did Peter get it into his head that it was a good idea to box from the outside? I'm not saying he would have won otherwise, but that fight plan gave him almost zero chance of winning!

They kept yelling "jab" and "don't wait". Jab yes, but as a way in, so you can make it a physical/awkward brawl. Made no sense to me...

I think he tried to get inside but he is way too slow footwork wise, and pretty much too slow in all areas.

Dawson's performance was exactly what i expected from him.

He fought a smart fight.....outboxed and outworked Tarver throwing dazzling combos that didn't always land but were eye catching to the judges and kept Tarver at bay.

He also showed improved defense, Tarver didn't really land much at all.
