The world changes Lyle. We have legal pot (sort of) in two states and gay marriage in more. Not too long ago these were loser initiaves even in progressive California. The GOP can either be on the right side of history or they can suffer the consequences.

Exactly. The GOP is between a rock and a hard place. They know they have to appeal to Hispanics and other groups, and an amnesty will just be the start of that and won't really help the GOP's situation by itself, but in appealing to minorities they're going to infuriate their own base. Most of the base will stay with them but a significant minority will just say fuck all y'all and not vote anymore.
This is the result of decades of appealing to the vast majority by bashing minorities. Now that the majority isn't so vast their previous tactics are coming back to bite them.

Again, Reagan with a 37% portion of the hispanic vote, grants Amnesty. Next election George H.W. Bush garners 30% of the hispanic vote. Why was that the case?

Thjat's what I'm saying. Simply granting amnesty to Undocumented-Americans isn't going to be enough to persuade Hispanics to vote GOP. It's going to take a lot more than that.
In the end it doesn't matter anyway. You're never going to get the opportunity to vote for anything remotely resembling the current Republican party ever again. The whole party is about to move dramatically to the left on every single issue, not just amnesty for Undocumanteds.

Yes, of course "free stuff" why would they vote for any other reason?
If the Republicans move to the left then I'll vote Libertarian simple as that and it's "Undocumenteds" you simp

You won't be given the opportunity to vote for any party that isn't left wing anymore. Remember this?
The US military investigated building a "gay bomb", which would make enemy soldiers "sexually irresistible" to each other, government papers say......
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/4174519.stm
Well, we've been working on it for the laast few years. It's been perfected at a secret ACORN laboratory in Canada and we'll be able to use it soon. The bomb has been fine-tuned so it only works on conservatives. We're rushing it into production because word is starting to leak out in Georgia about some of the other stuff we've got planned. You know what I'm talking about. Agenda 21. Delphi.
So pretty soon we're going to start carpet bombing the southern states and turn you all gay. I'll know more soon when I fly over to America for the Obama election steal victory party. Everybody's going to be there, the ACORN boys who stuffed all the ballot boxes in Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania and the New Black Panthers who stopped all those Republican voters from voting. George is going to be chairing the event and we're going to be decising who we pick for 2016. It doesn't matter who because they're going to win anyway. I'm think I'm going to go for Hillary Clinton and Al Sharpton.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
Say if you got hit by that bomb would you go back to being straight or would you just be twice as gay?

It's not me who's got to worry about becoming gay, ducky. I'll be able to give you a better idea of when it is we're going to turn you gay once I've spoken to George and the boys. I'm hearing talk about putting Obama back in for a third term too.

Apparently Barack doesn't want to do a third term. He says once his second one is up he wants to go home to Kenya and retire.

All that was is a group of frustrated people who feel like their voices aren't being heard in Washington DC. I guess that means the President that was supposed to unite us all together and slow the rising of the tides and heal the Earth has been a bit more divisive than originally planned....but it's probably easier to call everyone who opposes him a racist.

Who said anything about reuniting the Confederacy or did you just automatically think "sucession = Confederacy"? Sucession has been threatened by Northeastern states as well, in fact they were the first to do it as a protest of the Louisianna Purchase.....but hey what do I know about it I'm sure you're correct, bunch of God damned racists, let's burn their cities to the ground like some psychotic ex-girlfriend, that'll learn 'em to threaten sucession
But then again you could have said "I have no idea what I'm talking about :D" and my view of your post would have been no different

If he uses it dozens of times in a row to refer to a black man and then uses it dozens more in BLOCK CAPS then I'll have something to say.

And what did happen to the Benghazi scandal? Don't tell me Obama got away with it or it was a great big nothing that was politicised to fool the rubes. He left those people to die you know.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
The first day of the War on Christmas went really well. ACORN bombers launched precision strikes on all the major elf workshops and the main tinsel mines. We've sent in New Black Panther ground forces to blockade all the main supply routes to the North Pole. More updates to follow.

OK, didn't didn't you feel the slightest bit silly posting that?
So YOUR BOY Noam Chomsky isn't racist? Or would it have to be your boy Noam Chomsky? And if the latter is the case then couldn't I say your boy David Haye without you considering it racist or has "your boy" become the new n-word all thanks to my posting? Obama is half black and half white so would it be more racist for me to call him "your boy", "YOUR BOY", "YOUR boy", or "your BOY".....do you not see how silly your view is?

Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
Let's just wait and see whether the new guy uses the phrase "your boy" dozens and dozens of times in a row to refer to the same black man. Then we can draw our own conclusions about him.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
Former Florida GOP leaders say voter suppression was reason they pushed new election law
Former GOP chair, governor - both on outs with party - say voter fraud wasn’t a concern, but reducing Democratic votes was.
A new Florida law that contributed to long voter lines and caused some to abandon voting altogether was intentionally designed by Florida GOP staff and consultants to inhibit Democratic voters, former GOP officials and current GOP consultants have told The Palm Beach Post.
Republican leaders said in proposing the law that it was meant to save money and fight voter fraud. But a former GOP chairman and former Gov. Charlie Crist, both of whom have been ousted from the party, now say that fraud concerns were advanced only as subterfuge for the law’s main purpose: GOP victory.
Various voter registration organizations, minority coalitions and Democratic office holders are now demanding investigations either by state or federal officials.
On Oct. 26, The Post published a story citing a deposition by Florida GOP General Counsel Emmett “Bucky” Mitchell IV in litigation between Florida and the U.S. Justice Department over HB 1355. Mitchell described a meeting near New Year’s Day 2011, in which he was approached by GOP staffers and consultants to write the bill that would become HB 1355.
He said the meeting had followed other conversations with those same GOP officials and consultants since the fall of 2010.
Crist said he was asked
to curb early voting
Crist said party leaders approached him during his 2007-2011 gubernatorial term about changing early voting, in an effort to suppress Democrat turnout. Crist is now at odds with the GOP, since abandoning the party to run for U.S. Senate as an independent in 2010. He is rumored to be planning another run for governor, as a Democrat.
Crist said in a telephone interview this month that he did not recall conversations about early voting specifically targeting black voters “but it looked to me like that was what was being suggested. And I didn’t want them to go there at all.”
About inhibiting minority voters, Greer said:
“The sad thing about that is yes, there is prejudice and racism in the party but the real prevailing thought is that they don’t think minorities will ever vote Republican,” he said. “It’s not really a broad-based racist issue. It’s simply that the Republican Party gave up a long time ago ever believing that anything they did would get minorities to vote for them.”
But a GOP consultant who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of retribution said black voters were a concern.
“I know that the cutting out of the Sunday before Election Day was one of their targets only because that’s a big day when the black churches organize themselves,” he said.

In this situation I believe you would use your epic witty response "No, answer the question"
And so I will wait for you to reason out some answer for me before I go back to using my trademark phrase without threat of punishment again comprende muchacho?

The saying is either racist or it's not racist there's no gray area for you to hide behind. There are no charts or graphs for you to fall back on either it's ok or it's not....very simple question to answer Kirkland. I do love that you're struggling with it though...."should I admit defeat or should I keep stalling, oh dear oh dear what do I do?"

Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
Raise taxes on the 1% go right ahead....it won't help anything. That might raise billions of dollars but at the end of the day we'll have another TRILLION dollar deficet. And yet @Kirkland Laing will still be here saying America isn't taxing the wealthy enough but he'll make 0 mention of the spending. When you spend more than you make and you make a great deal of money then you don't have a revenue problem you have a SPENDING problem.
But whatever, the Democrats won everything I'll sit back and wait for them to screw shit up....and they will
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
America doesn't have a spending problem. It has a depressed economy problem. If the economy was returned to normal growth revenues would increase and wipe out the deficit. Since 2008 there's been an almost trillion dollar a year drop in demand caused by the 2008 bursting of the housing bubble. Replace that demand and you end the deficit toat least a level that is infinitely sustainable.
And that's why Obama's soon-to-be-revealed plan to keep all current spending unchanged and to spend an extra few trillion dollars over the next four years is such a good thing. The private sector aren't going to invest as there's already massiver existing overcapacity in the economy so they don't need to. The only thing that can return the exconmy to normal growth and end the deficit problem is massive extra government sdpending.
