If Golovkin goes the distance it is a moral victory.

Golovkin turns back time to dominate round 9!!!!
88 to 84 because I gave that round to triple G. I don't know why he didn't jump on canelo. It looked like canelo missed an overhand right and then twisted his left ankle and he backed up and triple G landed some hard shots and then he just couldn't sustain the attack
There we go, Golovkin wins his First round..
In the 9th..
8th and 9th Golovkin but he needs 2 knockdowns and 1 clean knockout on the cards.
go out on your shield Man. You are an all-time great. Go out on your shield. 9 minutes left let it all hang out
Golovkin 10th yep. Who's cut??
Good action in the 10 th round which is about time. Both trying to land bodyshots which is a bit late now.
97 95 for canelo and triple G needs at least a 10 to 8 round and to win another round on top of that for any hope of anything remotely close to a draw
Golovkin has come alive now but its not enough. Good tenth round alvzdod the Best stuff though.
Let's call that even 107 to 105 and this is really being generous for triple G
I know I am bias but Golovkin is doing ok in the last quarter of this fight and will go the distance.
A moral victory for him.
Golovkin is painting him up close in corner off the jab. He's taken the front foot and in combo this round again..Mora calls him tentative ???
Have Golovkin with 8,9,10,11 hetting stronger in those or is it the drink
Golovkin winning the last round and Canelo was poor and did not get the knock out he graved.
117 to 113 canelo
I totally agree there with master and spicoli. This is a definite moral victory for triple G he was never hurt his face is a little bit reddened but he was never hurt and to be honest canelo did not look very good at all tonight. He scored more punches but he missed a ton of punches more than I have ever seen him Miss and he just didn't look very good although he did win the fight pretty decisively on points.
It should be 117 to 113
117-111 Alvarez for me not particularly close. Alvarez dominated early on and did his usual tiring later on... Golovkin is a top class Operator and did the opposite of the old.man stereotype and got better as it went on... Alvarez looks like he has improved from his previous fights with high, a much better jab from the mexican, but Golovkin just wasn't lively enough..
Prime for prime I say Golovkin is better than Alvarez but today Alvarez won pretty easy.
Seriously this announces crew has cashed their checks last night, dismissing Golovkin outright as he finishes even up if not stronger. Canelo won but Golovkin had 4-5 rounds tops for me. The more you slag a great, the more you slag your Canelo for doing the exact same thing..again.
116-112
115-113 X 2 for Canelo
One goddamn more round and triple G would have earned a draw
My final word on this fight is that I guess he's a 40-year-old and that was the best he could do and it's nothing to be ashamed of because 40 is pretty old for this weight class. If he had just won one more round at the beginning two of the judges would have had this 114 to 114.
Pisses me off
And for me this does not look like canelo is an all-time great to be honest
Good interview from both and Golovkin should face the best middle weights now like Charlo et al
"Do you want the rematch with Bivol if he wins next"
"I need rest"...smart man that one.
I wonder if triple G will kick himself in the ass that he did not try to win even one more round in the first half of the fight. I know he was pacing himself at the age of 40, but he waited just a little bit too long.
Canelo Alvarez would have DRAWN Gennady Golovkin trilogy if he lost ONE more round as controversial scores are revealed
CANELO ALVAREZ would have walked away with an unthinkable draw in his trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin had he lost ONE more round.
The Mexican in 2017 was accused of escaping with an undeserved draw in his adopted fight home of Las Vegas.

And a year later, when Canelo emerged victorious in the rematch with a majority decision, again some felt GGG deserved the nod.
Although this time around, four years on there could be no argument as the Mexican bossed proceedings in the overdue trilogy.
But the scorecards did not reflect that, with Dave Moretti's judging it 116-112 and Steve Weisfeld as well as David Sutherland's reading 115-113.
That means, if Canelo had lost just one more round, it would have been scored 114-114, ending in a disastrous draw.
GGG held a grudge for almost half a decade having been unfortunate to walk away with without a win in their first two thrillers.
And while the trilogy fight - four years after Canelo's rematch win - did not live up the billing, it did settle the score once and for all.
He said: "Thank you so much my friend. Thank you for everything.
"We gave the fans three good fights and thank you for everything, OK."
Golovkin, 40, agreed with Canelo, 32, as the pair of boxing legend's embraced in the middle of the ring.
GGG said: "I want to shake hands with Canelo, congrats.
"The guy is a real warrior and if you don't understand, you don't understand nothing."

Golovking threw over 300 less than in the second fight and about 180 less than the first... Age has caught up with Golovkin, second fight was a pretty busy fight though... It was a pretty good trilogy but it's a shame Golovkin wasn't give the win in the first fight, so now his record looks a bit bad but anyone watching these fights will know the truth.
1 win for Golovkin 1 draw and 1 win for Alvarez is my personal score.. although I think it's fairly clear Golovkin would have the edge of he wasn't older.
It seemed like Golovkin finally acknowledged the older fella in the mirror staring back at him. As much a case of GGG realising he couldn't maintain the intesity of the last few rounds as father time catching up and wrapping resistance bands around those arms, and filling up his boots with sand. It is sad in many ways as he should have had at least one win against Canelo as has been said, and because he really was avoided by many in his prime. Canelo made sure he kept busy but still didn't risk going all out for the stoppage and that is some measure of respect from a very dominant fighter in this era, even if not an all time great...yet.
There are still some great highlight stoppages from Golovkin even if they were not all against the best opposition. Stopping fighters as though they had walked into a swinging anvil, and punching at crazy weird angles ,clumping the top of heads and turning hooks into cannonballs. He really was something else, but his best days are certainly behind him.
been away trying to find some rounds to give to ggg. it wasn't pretty but it was clear cut. if ggg plans to stick around he should look at unifications at one sixty. i'd actually like to see canelo v artur after a rest up. bam got tested. current chocolatito would have beaten that bam
that was the plan i was aware of. dmitry first then ggg. regarding what happens next for canelo let's wait & see. i heard canelo was going to have surgery so i don't know when he'll be back. dmitry has zurdo in november. i'd actually prefer canelo to face david b or artur next. david b to basically cleanout one sixty eight & artur as he's number one for me at one seventy five & before artur hits the got old talk if not already around
Canelo has faced top opposition and it is starting to take its toll on him with cuts and injuries. He is getting paid very well but he does need to stay at the super middleweight limit if he realistically wants to have a long career.
The top 2 light heavyweights should take on one another before they push to face Canelo.
I took a few days to think about the fight and the main thing that I felt was, that is was very underwhelming from both fighters.
I knew GGG would step on it (more) in later rounds because even at this age he is still able to go into an extra gear (dig deeper) then Canelo and Canelo just looked bad those last rounds.
But GGG looked very old and I was surprised that right from the start he was reacting to every little faint from Canelo. I thought that would be his undoing but Canelo never took advantage of this.
Also, Canelo couldn't close in on GGG at any time. One, two steps backward is enough to diffuse any attack from Canelo. He can't follow and just swings (and misses) wildly.
I would consider myself a Canelo fan but I also believe I am objective and was not liking what I was seeing starting from the Saunders fight for a lot of reasons.
He hardly moves his feet anymore, no combo's just every time (the same) power shots. Very limited punch selection and his stamina has just become horrible. He is really struggling to get through his fights now.
And a hand injury is no excuse for lacking stamina. If at this point in his career his stamina is still this bad it will not improve anymore. I actually don't believe Canelo will last another 3-5 years in the sport. I honestly now believe any fighter with these three assets will beat him quite easily: excellent footwork, high output and good stamina.
Two other points:
Reynoso is not a good trainer if you see the pro- or better regression of Canelo. He works on what Canelo likes to do or on his strengths. He ignores and neglects the same weaknesses he's had for years, his footwork and his stamina.
Canelo will never beat Bivol if not for a lucky punch that somehow this time will have an impact on him.
If he really said what I read,Quote:
I think I can beat him easy
, sorry, he's seriously delusional.Quote:
I won the first five or six rounds
Bivol is faster, has a high output and he didn't even leave first gear the whole fight when Canelo was looking like McGregor vs Mayweather round 10.
And on top of that, Bivol and his team analyzed Canelo to a TEE and they attacked him on all his weak points, from his stance, his balance, to him taking breaks between punching.
If Canelo really goes through with a rematch he might get a beating that could damage his legacy, respect of his peers and longevity in the sport.
