Mosley's defence was just too good. toney missed many shots because of mosley's slipping and sliding. Toney came on in the 7th and 8th but got caught by a surprise left, followed by a quick right, that sent him reeling back into the ropes. It was all over after those 2 punches. Toney has to learn how to combat fighters with better defences. He sucked against Williams and got ko'd by mosley.
I was speaking to my friend today who is a huge Tony fan and told him how amazed I was at how far Tony had got in his career considering how limited he is.
I told him it looked like he was moving in slow motion against Mosely. His footwork sucked, defence sucked, handspeed sucked, no power...every attribute was that of a D grade fighter. Especially when compared to Shane.
The exact quote I used was that if God hadn't given Tony a stupidly durable chin, he would never have got as far as he has because nobody but Tony can fight that style and get away with it.

His biggest asset is his chin and his stamina to keep up that relentless style. Problem is, those guys seem to get found out sooner or later by somebody who has a plan and can execute...Shane executed perfectly
jau saw the fight and got to say mosley destroyed maragirito.....he did a margarito on margirito....all credit to his mosley and to his trainer got to admit never heard of mosleys trainer but damn wat he did with hopkins and now mosley got to be a trainer heading towards emmanuel steward legenghood and as for shane frack he didnt just beat margarito he destroyed him from round one to round nine...perfect plan perfect execution perfect result:D
I have the same felling, especially if we consider Margarito’s age; but I hope we’re wrong. Welterweight division (the best IMO) already lost PBF and Paul Williams, Shane will not be around for too long I guess and Pacman is not really a ww. Tony’s fans or not we still need him and I hope also he’s innocent, if is not it will be a dark spot on this sport.Quote:

they still want a rematch with Cotto, so maybe they'll go once more at 147. They claim he's too big to keep fighting at 147 for much longer.
Margarito didn't look even close to 100%. I think Mosely would have beat him at 100% too after seeing the performance, but he definitely looked out of it.
