Surprised there's no thread about this.. at time of posting.
Anyone think Mosley can win? I don't.
If the same Mosley turns up that fought Mayorga last time, then I think he'll definitely be stopped late-ish.. probably by the corner.
Thoughts?

3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
I don't really think Shane Mosley has much of a chance in this one, i thought he looked half asleep for majority of the Ricardo Mayorga fight. He isn't a pure boxer he doesn't use his footwork much, so i don't think he can outbox Antonio Margarito.
Shane Mosley has always been a boxer/puncher i've seen quite alot of his fights, and as i've said before i've never really seen him outbox a fighter using his technical skills/boxing skills. He normally overwhelms opponents with his speed/power/stamina ETC.
Plus Shane Mosley's output lately has been way low so i think he's gonna find it hard. To keep Antonio Margarito off him and i don't think Shane Mosley, really hits that hard at Welterweight.
I think Shane Mosley might get a bit of pasting in this one, i think he will survive 12 rounds because he's a warrior and tough as nails. But overall i see him just getting outworked and losing a UD, he may have some success counter punching like he did at times with Ricardo Mayorga.
But lets be honest if someone as limited as Ricardo Mayorga was able to close the distance. And give Shane Mosley a tough fight, it doesn't bode well for his next fight against someone tougher, and even more physical than Ricardo Mayorga, with a higher output and a better array of punches.
Margarito is going to box to a UD, it will be a good fight I think. Mosley will know that he wont be able to get away with anything sloppy and he knows that he will have to box and use his speed to have any chance of beating him.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Sadly i give mosley little chance...best bet is to hit and run but the same thing will happen to him that happened to cotto when he tried.
Hidden Content Click clack ! Give up the purse.........or yetti will find you.
Picking Tony most likely by unam descision.Ready to LMAO?.....I think Mosley catches Margarito early on and makes him do a stumble dance before Tony revs up & grinds Mosley down on his heels as Shane plays macho on the inside with him.
I can't see Shane getting through this fight without taking quite a bit of punishment. He won't move enough or throw enough punches to keep Margo off him but I doubt he will get stopped, Shane is a tough nut.
Margarito by UD
It's hard to make a case for Mosley. He's got a divorce brewing too and legal problems due to the BALCO steroids thing hanging over him. I don't see him coming close to stopping or outworking Margarito but I see him having enough boxing ability to make it to the end of the fight. Margarito UD in an entertaining fight.
I give Mosley a chance to win here... slim one but a chance all the same!
I truely believe Margarito will put the hurt on late but Mosley will see the end. But my heart will be with a Sugar Shane victory!!!

Oh I believe it! If the Mosley that fought Mayorga shows up he's in trouble! Major Trouble!!!
But then you have the Mosley backers who really have to hope & look at the other side of the coin. Margarito took some huge shots vs Cotto... could they have taken a toll? You hit a wall hard enough for longer enough eventually its gonna crack!
Mosley is still very fast, faster than Margarito & even at 37 has excellent skills.
I like both guys going into this, so I don't really mind who wins but as I saiod before my heart will be with Mosley.

It was amazing how he took those shots, add in the Cintron rematch, there were some big shots there too!
I think there a small amount of hope for Mosley fans. Remember Margarito got the biggest win of his career over Cotto, he was the under dog going into that fight & was hungry to prove himself... here he is the overwhelming favorite! I'm sure he's still hungry but will he be at that same intensity level? I don't know...
