If Castillo wouldn't have been robbed in his fight with Mayweather...
How would Maywether and Castillo's career paths altered to the way they have done.
Re: If Castillo wouldn't have been robbed in his fight with Mayweather...
It was a very close fight but i don't think Castillo was robbed i think Mayweather won.
Re: If Castillo wouldn't have been robbed in his fight with Mayweather...
THe problem with Castillo in that fight, and reason why I don't think he won is because Mayweather landed the sharper more effective blows more often. Castillo did catch him more times than anybody else has, but he landed a lot of his punches while they were clinched which for me shouldn't count. There were a few times where I felt Castillo was just punching to land anything instead of using good, technically flawless punches.

First off, I don't think Castillo got robbed.
I scored the fight a draw. When I score a fight even, I don't think either guy can really get robbed, since it's obviously a close fight that could go either way.
However, IF Castillo had won, I don't think things would have changed that much. They would have had an immediate rematch, and Floyd would've beaten him.

I had Castillo winning but it wasn't a robbery but i did like the aggression from Castillo that just about swayed it for me.

I guess you did not see the punch stats.
Floyd did not do enough to win and they gave him that fight.

punch stat numbers are a novice way to score a fight..........
they only measure a fighters activity, not effectiveness ;)
hope this helps
Re: If Castillo wouldn't have been robbed in his fight with Mayweather...
well Floyd wasn't very effective against DLH so maybe he shouldn't have won that fight either ::**, and don't start the whole arguement that he clearly won against Oscar cause i had Mayweather winning by a round, but it was mainly cause of the punch numbers, DLH was effective with his punches by moving Mayweather back, especially the jab, it had Mayweather in a ball the entire time he'd throw it, so yea punch stat numbers do play into judging a fight, just they're not the only thing you should take into consideration

I thought Oscar missed alot Mayweather landed cleaner harder blows plus landed alot more shots Oscar was ahead after 8 rounds but lost imo all of the later rounds i had it 116-113 if i can remember right but my scorecard was something around there.
Re: If Castillo wouldn't have been robbed in his fight with Mayweather...
i had Mayweather winning by only one round

punchstat numbers PLUS effectiveness = an easy fight to score (ala mayweather vs. delahoya ;))

Did you give Oscar the 12th round ?? because i remember quite a few on here giving him the 12th round.
Re: If Castillo wouldn't have been robbed in his fight with Mayweather...
yea i thought Oscar got the best in the last exchange and IMO won the round, either way i thought the fight was a very close fight
