Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Wednesday, April 23 2008
Super middleweight contender Carl Froch (22-0, 18 KOs) says he will produce a better performance than Joe Calzaghe did over the weekend in his WBC final eliminator against Denis Inkin at the Trent FM Nottingham Arena on May 10. The winner of Froch-Inkin will earn the right to be the next mandatory challenger for the WBC title currently held by Calzaghe, although Joe who has now arrived back in the UK, is giving few indications that he will ever defend that belt. "...it was a terrible performance from him and I thought Hopkins did enough on the night," said Froch. "Calzaghe was messy and inaccurate with his punches. Nothing really landed on Hopkins. I thought Calzaghe got beat."
---------------------------------------------
Hmmm... I tend to agree with him not landing much of anything but I still think Joe pulled it out. I mean, c'mon. Not landing anything of consiquence is still landing... Whether or not it's hurting him was not disputed.
I just thought this was interesting.
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Read this on eastside earlier.Froch is just a cunt.

Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Froch's should realise by now Calzaghes not gonna face him no matter what he says, why.........cause hes a nobody whos beaten nobody
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Fraud is right. Calzaghe did get beat.
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Yeah ....Sounds like a bit of trash talk to help himself get some publicity so maybe Warren and Calzaghe are baited more into having a bout with him....
But as the old expression goes...Be Careful what you wish for...
Joe Calzaghe ain't no Robin Reid or Tony Dodson....
And just my 2 cents for Froch...
45 other men felt Joe was sloppy and lost bouts in the past as well:D
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
If Froch said it then it must be true, ignore the fact that he is envious of Galzaghe fame and fortune and will never ever fight him.
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
A British fighter jumping on the bandwagon and making comments about a more succesful fighter in the same division who's also British???
Froch is starting to sound an awful lot like Junior Witter...and the poor relation of his division.
And a good performance against Inkin should be just a smudge easier than against Hopkins.

Difference is - Froch has never been in Calzaghe's stratosphere.. whereas Witter was Hatton's fiercest Brit rival before fading a little but then returned as his fiercest world rival ;)
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Carl Froch continues his relentless quest to become the biggest arsehole in boxing.
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Why is he a hater? He gave an honest reason why Calzaghe could have lost. Are you guys saying that Calzaghe was throwing crisp punches and landing a lot, and that compared to any other performance did he not look horrible on Saturday?
Re: Froch: Calzaghe got beat!
Oh that silly Froch, does Tam Seddon come around here anymore speaking of which?

They're on the same bill next month....was just thinking that one's been picking bad habits up off the other. We need some good entertainment for that evening's work for sure, so both of them need to show some character and entertainment, and pick up some wins.
