Looks like Israel Vazquez is moving up to 126
its on boxingscene, he says there he's interested in fights with Juan Manuel Lopez and a fourth fight with Rafa but only at 126
Says its the healthy thing for him to do since he's been out so long and he's grown out of the weight
And the 4th Rafa fight would come before a Lopez fight, according to Izzy sometime in November or December after a tune up fight.

Do you think he will come back the same fighter?? Im not to sure, with the layoff and the wars he had, i hope he does great little fighter.

I think before people say him and Marquez are finished fighters we should wait to see what the result is, My inclination is to believe Vazquez should be a similar fighter, we didn't see Morales or Barrera fall apart from their wars, or Gatti-Ward. I think/hope they will be in top form, that way Rigondeaux will look all that much more impressive ;), or Juan Manuel Lopez, or Gamboa.
That being said if Marquez and Vazquez beat all them, then all the credit to Vazquez and Marquez.

thinks you're pushin that a bit too much, the dude hasn't even made his pro debut

I don't think Izzy should step back in the ring. My understanding his vision is impaired and for someone fighting on the highest level, that wasn't exactly known for his defense. This is just a compounded danger.

Probably bullshit but i heard Roach refused to work with Izzy after his last fight beacuse he was slurring his words and Roach thought he was an accident waiting to happen, any truth in that?

Haven't heard that one, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I guess we will see tonight. I just can't see how Rigondeaux won't be spectacular as a pro, he has always foughten like one as an amateur.

I gave him a C for that effort against a fighter who didn't want to fight
Re: Looks like Israel Vazquez is moving up to 126
I haven't seen it yet, he is generally a defensive minded fighter, but like Roy Jones Jr he has really good power when he wants to in that cross.
Re: Looks like Israel Vazquez is moving up to 126
Actually Vazquez is lagging behind... Tonight Rafa will fight at 126... Caballero is slated to fight Yuriorkis next at 126... Everybody at 122 is going to 126... Even 122 prospect Bernabe Concepcion will finally get his shot on 126 champ Steven Luevano...
.

The guy didn't land an honest punch in 2 rounds, I think thats pretty impressive, Rigondeaux didn't look good because the guy didn't even test him. Every solid punch hurt the guy, and Rigondeaux at 28 showed he still has plenty of life left. I honestly don't think he was able to showcase his skills because he is a true counter puncher, I think he wanted to be safe, and pick his punches, which he did.

Gatti and Ward pretty much took out what was left of eachother.
Yes Gatti went on to win some fights but he was never the same.
Ward retired after the trilogy.
As for Erik and MAB.
I don't recall either one of them looking like this after anyone of those fights.
