Euro fighter gets free pass from public FACT
Seems the general consensus here is that it's ok to cheat if you're not from America, as long as you are desperate it's totally fine, the public won't hold it against you.
Re: Euro fighter gets free pass from public FACT
I agree Killer.
Abraham deserved to lose, he hit Dirrell when he was down and defenseless.

yup, funny how the same people defending Abraham are the ones who were justifying how dirty Froch was fighting against Dirrell

I'm certainly not giving him a free pass, as anyone who saw my semi-legible rantings from last night can attest. I was cheering for Abraham, he was one of the few fighters I actively cheer for, but that was some dirty shit and I'd honestly be fine if he was suspended.
Oh, and anyone who claims DIrrell was faking/embellishing is a drooling fuckwit.
Re: Euro fighter gets free pass from public FACT
Sheep - you have to look at it from their perspective, the Americans are always number one at everything. You can pool all the European countries and you would be hard pressed to think of something they do better than the Americans, I cant think of anything. Euros have to grasp at any straw they can get their hands on to be able to claim some type of victory in their own mind, however tainted it is.
;D

Killer, what you have said is clearly NOT a fact. Come now...

You know there are some phenomenal talents from Europe, I mean Klitschko is the man at heavy. Calzaghe in his time was the best Super Middle. Hatton had his time at light heavy. The UK has some great talent coming up so I can't say we are better than them in everything, BUT it seems in general the rules shouldn't apply to Euro fighters as far as public opinion goes, particularly when they are fighting Americans.

Kinda like Abraham gets DQed for sparking American? Also not a fact, he got DQed for throwing an illegal punch.

Also the same ones trying to justify why Andre Ward should have been disqualified for cheating against Kessler :-X

The European fighter got DQ'd for knocking the American fighter unconcious. This is an unequivocal fact. That's all i'm saying.
Had The American not been rendered unconcious i'm pretty sure they wouldn't have DQ'd the European... then again :scratchchin:

Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it was funny.

Should have read Hatton IS having his time at light heavy.

Therefore, speculation AKA NOT A FACT. The inflection you are putting forth that it would be okay if Abraham was not disqualified for the illegal punch had it not been as damaging, is that correct?

if the American fighter would have not been rendered unconscious from an illegal blow the UK fighter wouldn't have been DQ'd and would have only gone on to lose a lopsided UD :)

Abraham isn't from the UK, although judging from some of the posters here you'd think he was a born and bred Brit who walked into the ring draped in the Union Jack.
