I know Rios isn't the most skilled fighter, but he has build a name for himself in the past years. Will a loss to Chaves, who is a pretty unknown fighter, send Rios back to the FNF cards?

What does a win do for Rios and what does a second consecutive loss do to him?
Already irrelevant for me. Him getting the pac fight was a disgrace and the purses for this fight is a disgrace. Rios getting 925k with Chaves only getting 25k. Rios is a horrible person and hope he gets KTFO tomorrow
Have to figure so with his style. Didn't even realize this is the same Chaves who fought Thurman a while back, that was a pretty good fight! He held his own until the mid-late rounds in that, and THurman is much better than Rios. This should be a war, and I could see Rios losing, hope he does as well.

The climax of his career press-wise so far was not even the victory over Alvarado, its was the point where he got the spit shine from top rank while he was being groomed to be a sacrificial lamb to the come-backing pacquiao. Lets be honest, Rios's only hope in that fight was that Marquez has ruined Pacquiao the year before. Had they matched him in a brawl against the feather-fisted bradley instead of bradley trying to slug with Provo, both bradley and rios would more left in the tank and still be commanding audiences right now and they could have extended Rios' draw by pitting him against hard workers like peterson, or soto karass--before he got punchy too.(promotional wars aside)
