Will Brandon Rios become irrelevant if he loses to Chaves?
I know Rios isn't the most skilled fighter, but he has build a name for himself in the past years. Will a loss to Chaves, who is a pretty unknown fighter, send Rios back to the FNF cards?
He seems to think so... "I know this is a do or die fight for me, and I’m gonna make it a do for me instead of a die. " via Brandon Rios: “This is a do or die fight for me, and I’m gonna make it a do for me instead of a die!”
What does a win do for Rios and what does a second consecutive loss do to him?
Re: Will Brandon Rios become irrelevant if he loses to Chaves?
Already irrelevant for me. Him getting the pac fight was a disgrace and the purses for this fight is a disgrace. Rios getting 925k with Chaves only getting 25k. Rios is a horrible person and hope he gets KTFO tomorrow

Have to figure so with his style. Didn't even realize this is the same Chaves who fought Thurman a while back, that was a pretty good fight! He held his own until the mid-late rounds in that, and THurman is much better than Rios. This should be a war, and I could see Rios losing, hope he does as well.

The visa issues Chaves had may affect his performance otherwise id be backing him

I'm already a bit bored of him. Rios has become a bit of a predictable punching bag. Maybe a step down in quality will make him look better.
Re: Will Brandon Rios become irrelevant if he loses to Chaves?
Brandon Who? Sorry for a second there I already forgot who he was. The climax of his career press-wise so far was not even the victory over Alvarado, its was the point where he got the spit shine from top rank while he was being groomed to be a sacrificial lamb to the come-backing pacquiao. Lets be honest, Rios's only hope in that fight was that Marquez has ruined Pacquiao the year before. Had they matched him in a brawl against the feather-fisted bradley instead of bradley trying to slug with Provo, both bradley and rios would more left in the tank and still be commanding audiences right now and they could have extended Rios' draw by pitting him against hard workers like peterson, or soto karass--before he got punchy too.(promotional wars aside)

Rios is not in the news getting arrested or in trouble. All he does is fight and hang out with his family. What a horrible person

Probably turn into a stepping stone, gatekeeper type of fighter. One could argue he's already one now.

If he is he's a very well paid one. Gatekeepers don't usually make close to a million dollars for a fight
Re: Will Brandon Rios become irrelevant if he loses to Chaves?
As long as he doesn't come in as a fat middleweight this should be very fast paced entertaining. But I have a feeling Chaves will put a beating on Rios. Rios is irrelevant because of himself, not because he will again be fighting...or selling hotdogs on FNF cards.

Yea taking the piss out of people with Parkinsons is a bit distasteful for me but whatever floats your boat. His also a fat lazy fucker who shouldnt be fighting anywhere near Welter.
Re: Will Brandon Rios become irrelevant if he loses to Chaves?
Rios need to discipline himself and make weight and not use illegal drugs to do it. We will take him seriously when he starts taking the sport seriously.
Re: Will Brandon Rios become irrelevant if he loses to Chaves?
I don't think Rios claim to like being hit in the face or his inability to say two words without putting fuck betwixt them are an act. The guy is punch drunk. Becoming irrelevant would probably benefit his health. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back after the Manny beating. If things get bad they could always do a Rios v Alvarado 3. I actually expect him to win this eve.

Rios came to make fights... he makes the division exciting... let him make fights...
Question: When is Danny Garcia fighting again? And against who?
