There will not be a Ward fight... there may not even be a Froch fights... might never be a Chavez Jr. fight... but there certainly is a Peter Quillen fight. And at the very least, an Ande Lee showdown.
Vanes Matriyosan... Boo-Boo Andrade... just to name a few...
GGG does not have to chase Ward to be great. He is an elite fighter. He needs to just keep on beating the other best out there and let Ward come to him, and unless Ward fights, Ward may be needing GGG more than GGG needs Ward.
Greatness is decided by who you fight. Chavez does nothing for GGG but make him money. Froch is half retired. Don't get it confused GGG has never beat anyone as good as prime Kessler, prime Froch or prime Dawson. And he doesn't have anyone in his division that is as good in his division(I put in the qualifier because Cotto is as good but not as good at Middleweight). So GGG will always need Ward if he wants to prove greatness. If he wants to be famous and make money he can keep KOing inferior fighters. But to be great he has to fight a great.

GGG is a great fighter, no doubt in my mind. I would like to see him completely clean out the division and think that with the excitement he brings and his fan friendly style he will be considered one of the greats without Ward. That being said, GGG needs to stay away from Ward. Ward has the perfect combination of speed, boxing ability, defense and just enough power to frustrate GGG with movement and break him down over 12 rounds. Quillin avoids anyone his manager tells him to and GGG would be on top of that list.
GGG is where Sergio Martinez was a few years ago. Untouchable.
