Ditto. I saw "GNR" (really just Axl Rose and Dizzy Reed) which I have to say I was nervous about seeing them past their prime and with key band members in Velvet Revolver at the time, but Axl put on a hell of a show, he was still hitting and holding those high notes. Opening up for GNR was Sebastian Bach who tried to get the crowd (in North Carolina of all places) to boo the War in Iraq (which damn near nobody did not because we're so pro war but because we're not going to disrespect our men and women in service) and that was pretty funny, but Sebastian Bach took that ok and moved right along, he sang well too. Papa Roach was the next band and I completely tuned them out.
I saw Van Halen (with Wolfgang Van Halen on bass) and they did a great show.
The only bands left on my "to see before they die or break up" list are: Huey Lewis & The News, Billy Joel, Hall & Oats, AC/DC (with Axl is ok enough), Weezer, Black Keys, The Strokes, The Hives, Leon Bridges, and Nathaniel Ratliff & The Night Sweats....though the last 6 on that list are relatively new compared to the others. I wish I had seen Motley Crue, but that's not going to happen now...also would have loved to have seen Levon Helm too.
