If Haye could steal a title away from someone without having to fight Joshua he would. Tony Bellew now David? Really?!
Listen: Haye is a jive-turkey. All of these guys out there he can make a name for himself and fight: Ortiz, Pulev, Jennings, Parker, Ruiz, et al... He chooses a FAT Light Heavyweight that was KNOCKED OUT at Light-Heavy-- albeit against one of the hardest punching men in the division and in boxing period, but KNOCKED OUT nonetheless.

Come on now, we all know how this works don't we? David Haye isn't Jealous of Joshua (He praises him up at every opportunity) and he isn't Afraid. Infact he WANTS Joshua. Call Haye what you want, like him or hate him, but all he's interested in is MONEY, the easier the better . He's fighting Bellew because it's more money than he could earn fighting anyone that doesn't present a risk.
It gets him on Matchroom/Sky and builds up the AJ/Haye fight after that whether AJ wins or loses against Wlad.
Haye beats Bellew - He then starts calling out the AJ/ Klit winner and markets it only how he knows how.
Bellew beats Haye - Matchroom can change tack and send Haye into Oblivion.
AJ Beats Wlad - A fight with Haye rightly or wrongly is the next biggest fight out there. More megabucks.
Wlad beats AJ - Wlad would probably retire after that , so I don't really see a rematch although it's possible I suppose. so Maybe Wlad retires, titles are vacant and Matchroom use their clout to make Haye/ AJ a title fight and another massive money fight. even if it's not for a title , it would still be the biggest fight out there for both of them.
These are already done deals. That's why Haye was working for Sky Sports on Saturday , while Bellew (A Matchroom fighter) was working for 5 live. Haye took the Bellew fight on this premise , Bellew - easy money, followed by AJ - Probably getting sparked , but definitely has a punchers chance , and more money than he could earn for fighting anyone else.
whether he deserves it is another question, but this is how it is nowadays.
