1 year ban - Ryan Garcia - Pathetic
So that’s the message boxing is sending out?
You cheat in the most dangerous way and you only get a year ban?
The casuals will always defend the drug cheats like Canelo,Fury,Garcia and Miller.
Haney will surely remain undefeated.
It’s time we reverse ALL the historical drug fights and correct each resume.
Who wants to defend Garcia?
Re: 1 year ban - Ryan Garcia - Pathetic
Nobody can defend it. Garcia is not bothered either.
Banning for life would send these cheats a true message.

While I agree with the whole post, this is the kicker right here. Garcia is not bothered. From the start, this kid has been more interested in his social media throng than in the grind that a true boxing career requires. The casuals eat his shit up, because well... because they're casuals. His undeserved fame skyrocketed off one good fight... and since then it's been a circus of strange Tweets and postings, missing weight, strange behavior, mental breakdowns, attention-whoring, PED use, and now saying he's retiring... which honestly no true fan gives a flying one. Some casuals even laughingly at some point claimed he was the face of boxing. Garcia is definitely not bothered. To us real fans, when he's finally gone he won't be missed.

whenever king ry decides to return after his suspension he'll walk straight into a huge pay per view
Re: 1 year ban - Ryan Garcia - Pathetic
And you approve of that, because he's one of your favorite fighters.
It's ok. Nothing to be ashamed of. Pretty much fits the profile of fighters you like.

Cheating twat. Suliman now wrapping his "everyone is a victim" hug and excuse on him now. Top guys sit out for a year plus so no effect there. And he tossed more $ at the missing weight than he did actual ped suspension. Again, they all factor the penalties in now. And the alphabet boyz abide. Short-bus will social media troll for 10 months and come back as a Jr middle. Bank it.

This, and what you said about Ginger fighting Berlanga as part of his "Riding Off Into The Sunset" tour, seem like they might be pretty accurate.
I wouldn't suggest you get into the fortune telling business yet... but if this one pans out... I would definitely start looking in Amazon for crystal balls.

His mother should have let him be a fighter and earn it, in retrospect. Making him a social media 'celebrity' before he had 10 fights made him some money, a big chunk of which will go to child support cause he has a bunch of them. And it made him a pathetic, attention seeking buffoon. If he doesn't have boxing as a vehicle to make a spectacle of himself, I shudder to think of what he might do next.

Been looking for a second gig so I may give to filling the Mrs. Cleo void ;D. These guys have just become too predictable. Then again who knows, they may just form a bond entering retirement and open a steakhouse.

Does make you wonder a bit where he fits as far as the new norm in young fighters. Used to be that ring success would grow/make the star and we'd see cases of fighters getting overwhelmed with it and spiraling down. Ryan pretty much put the cart before the horse as far as popularity and social media rise. Brought that into buys and sales, but hardly has the mentality and skill set of a tried true top tier champion. Unfortunately, there's a massive wave of newer fans who embraces cutting corners and the adolescent fuckery Ryan has proven to be all about.
Re: 1 year ban - Ryan Garcia - Pathetic
there has always been fighters who are more popular than their actual success or performances as professionals deserves. panchito bojado was given a huge signing bonus & was being talked about as the next big thing, he didn't have the social media powerhouse that it is today at the time i don't think but jack paul is another recent guy who has a big following based on not much achieved in the pro ranks. it's nothing new. then you have deserving guys like finito lopez who no one even knows outside hardcore boxing heads

As far as social media influence and career design for Ryan, have to say it's fairly new hence the mention and popularity early for Ryan. Paul unfortunately another but credit to Ryan as he's slightly more serious with fights taken. Paul is a literal cartoon act. But Ryan is deluded now. It becomes an enabling crutch. Making Devin Haney fart jokes and ranting about screwing Caleb Plants wife are the biggest W's he'll have for the rest of the year. Rolly Romero is another bottom feeder that blew up more for social media saturation than actual ring accomplishments.
Panchito is more of the old school model of top Olympians riding the hype waves and just not panning out once on the world stage. Lots of threads on him https://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfo...appened-2.html. The spiral down of early anointment of super stardom, top amateur success turned into busted hype-train for some young prospects/Olympians in boxing is decade olds. No social media as we know for Bojado but maybe a bit on his half attempt comeback with Golden boy. The Olympics had a great avenue before the SM blow up. The major networks and promotions had tunnel vision for "the next" superstars and "the next" superstars didn't have the 24/7 defection distractions at the fingertips. Ryan won't be the last sadly.
