roy jones
shane mosley
meldrick taylor
floyd mayweather
hector camacho sr
zab judah
sugar ray leonard
Ali
I would give the edge to roy. plus he had it at higher weights and carried it to each of the weight classes he moved up to.

My Boy Mosley, He will have hit you 7 times befor u feel the first punch
Your list matches mine perfectly except I would not give the advantage to Roy. It would have to be between Meldric Taylor and Shane Mosley, both of those fighters moved like the flash, they were both faster than Jones but remember they were also alot smaller. You could add Terry Norris on the list alsoQuote:

A mention goes to 'Terrible' Terry Norris, who had amazing hand speed, and one punch KO power to go with it...
Shane for me
tommy hearns hands were lightening quick
As an amateur he had blistering hands, but believe it or not, virtually zero KO power (12 stoppages in 155 wins).Quote:

I should slaughter you for saying anything good about Malignaggi
Hate to say anyone was faster than RJ but Meldrick Taylor if you have to pick from that list
Not as fast as his legs, when Rosario started landing his right!!! ;)Quote:

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has the fastest one punch speed I've seen (at 130)
Mosley or Meldrick had the best combination punching.
Taylor wasn't even close to as fast as Roy Jones Jr. p4p... no1 was.Quote:

Butterbean has lasers for hands.... Dont blink... ;D
j/k Sugar Shane has speed for days
I would disagree, it was Taylor's blistering handspeed, that bedazzled opposition the quality of James McGirt and for a while, Julio Cesar Chavez. RJJ was a more rounded fighter, and used other tools in his excellent arsenal.Quote:

I still say that ROy JOnes Jr. is p4p alot faster... RJJ did have more in his arsenal, but he also had faster hands... Nobody can compete with him in that area in total hand speed... I never thought Meldrick Taylor's individual punches where that quick... he reminds me of Mosley.Quote:

I agree, I am in more of awe of fighters having incredible handspeed at higher weight and the speed that roy has never been duplicated by any fighter in past or present. He carried his speed to all the weight classes he moved up to and even has it for a guy in his late thirties. Shane's speed has diminished considerably over the years and as he moved up.Quote:

Has anyone seen Mundines handspeed? Most of his opponents say he is blinding with his speed and you dont see his punches coming. He might be disliked among boxing fans, BUT he is lightning, and very skilled.
I never saw SRL throw punches like he did in the olympics... but wow was he fast in the olympics shit... he was throwing the fastest combinations I've seen at any level during them, but I am guessing he wasn't getting any power behind his punches.Quote:

I will agree with say roy jones but anthony mundine...damn! I think he rivals rjj in the speed department. He is deadset like lightning!
Royjonesjr
he showed alot of his handspeed in the Tommy Hearns fightQuote:

only one fighter is known for his invisible phantom punch ;D
calzaghe is pretty quik
pac should be on that list...he can hurt u with both hands he don't just have speed he has power and just doesn't throw one blazing punch he throws many from all angles...have you guys see him shadow box his hands don't look like they are connected to his body when he let out speed punches...Quote:

judah i actually think is quicker then floyd now...but he lacks floyds stamina...
why did you choose to put leonard on that list when tommy hearns had way quicker hands BOTH times they fought!! it was his chin that got him in trouble in the loss!!Quote:
