Im not a straight A student but is it the idea of your own balance that your trying to get at?
I call it the Oral principal of balance, every thing I try reverts back to it. Keep getting some amazing results. Wonder if theres anybody out there, whos working in the same field.

Actually it shows, our balance isnt to good because off our eyes. The motorization of the body is affected by the eyes ears and mouth and neck posture and the inabiltey of the two eyes seeing the same.
What Scrap's on about is called proprioception - the ability of the body to know where it is without using your normal senses. It's basically a feedback mechanism from sensory nerves mostly in the ligaments and tendons. It contributes greatly to balance, agility and efficiency of movement.
If you want to move fast with good muscle memory try eliminating the other senses.
No its not md , this is something a lot different,its more about feel and understanding it in active movement in relationship to oral perception

Not being very literet, I might have spelt it wrong, oral is above the neck ,skull and senses there in and their inability to send the right information of touch and feel when in the wrong position or posture to the rest of the body because of out lying forces[ gravity] . the big problem is the eyes, and the ways to overcome the problem whether it be by changing the centre of most resistance feel or go blind touch. the leg I bet you wish you could.
I tried it. I was ok at it but it made me feel drunk.

Scrap I am intrigued by this. The exercise standing on one leg with your eyes shut is basically a proprioception exercise. As far as I'm aware sensory nerves in the ankle for example, tell the brain that there is movement - once that movement reaches a certain point the brain then releases an impulse to contract the necessary muscles to maintain balance. The muscles generally overcompensate then the same thing happens on the opposing side. The greater the movement on either side means the poorer the balance is and has more of an effect on the equilibrium of the inner ear which detects the amount of movement and the velocity of the movement produced in the head.
The same principles can apply to multiple dynamic movements. The way I understand it, is that if you can decrease any additional movements apart from the desired ones, including head movement the muscles will receive the correct signals from the brain to produce the optimum movement.

The head is at the top of the body for a reason, and its not so you take a better photo, different animal types have radar in different positions in their head for a reason, also different size attributes for doing so to alert the brain. If you hold your horses, for a highly inteligent man of which Im sure you are, be patient. 30 years ago when we were using elastic and training in water people thought I was mad [time has proved them right I am mad]. Why is every body doing it now, because it works and its safe and egos wont be harmed its an every day thing. Scrap,I think I understand the theory you're explaining but how do I bring this in to practice ?
Ive been working along these lines for a good few years. I actually stopped training boxers to give myself time to work on it, and experiment. Ive never been a 3 shadow , 3 bag, 3skip, do your ground work, see you later man, it would bore the shit outa me. In any science the word is Why does it work ,Why doesnt it, Were looking for the Truth. Youre looking for Excelance or to be the best you can, the more knowledge you gain, the better your chances of success. I had a phone call tonight from the father of a 15 year old runner I train whose a 2 min 800 metre runner,He was doing 200 metre sprint work tonight and knocked 1 1/2 secs of his P B, doing some of the stuff Ive shown you, the other stuff will come in time, I think seeing is the best way to do it, its getting the time to vidio the stuff.

Game it usually means youve got good vision meaning equel sight, youre ambidextras use either hand and good working inner ear. Youre not to dominant on one side we played a little game for a couple off years with as many people as we could find. It was arm wrestling with opposite arms and eyes open , then with dominant eye shut, then the less dominant eye shut. every time thats about 400 people they were stronger, with the less dominant side with the dominant eye shut, in fairness still trying to work that one out.
