Does this change what you think will happen in the fight???
I know it's spot on what I said "James won't look fit but he'll fight fit"...Toney is 4 pounds lighter and Sam is HEAVY too heavy in my opinion he'll be slower and Toney will counter punch the hell out of him
So no one cares about the weights for the big fight???

That's pretty close to what I was expecting...atleast on Peter's part. I was expecting 255ish to 256ish...so 257 aint a shocker to Wack.

Wish Peter was a little lighter, maybe 5 lbs or so but Toney is still to heavy. However....I think I'm picking Toney UD. Which is shocking since I'm a BIG Sam Peter fan but this is the one guy in the division who I really didn't want to see him face.
If I was a Sam Peter fan (and I most definantly am NOT) I would want Oleg Maskaev or Nicolay Valuev they are TAILOR MADE for Sam's style.
Valuev is 7'0 325...how hard is it to hit him???
Maskaev is old, weary from all those fights, his chin ain't spectacular and he likes to brawl
Calvin Brock is another one too...he fights down to your level and never up to your level. VS Zuri Lawrence he stood toe to toe with him and did nothing for 6 rounds

Yep, Toney is still way too heavy. He isnt in good condition at all. If he can make it through the first 6 then he will steal a decision though as Peter will fade down the stretch and Toney's countering will become more effective....
Peter is mental for coming in so plump, if he doesnt get it done early then he is gonna be in for a frustrating evening....
Man both guys should have come in lighter! I think Peters gonna pay the most for it though. With alll those punches he's gonna be swinging & missing he'll tire fast. Toney picks him apart in the later rounds!!!
what does peter usually weigh? he doesn't look any bigger than usual to me. he's a huge guy. huge frame. unlike toney, who has a middleweight frame with a ton of fat strapped to it. toney's still about 20 pounds heavier than ideal. peter's maybe 5-10 heavier than ideal.
i still pick toney UD, because I don't think Peter can hit him even when he's this fat. if toney tires out to early he just might get into trouble though. Sam hits hard enough that he doesn't actually have to hit someone flush to KO them with one puch.
Toney is the same weight he was for the Ruiz fight, this is a good weight for him if he can keep consistantly going down.
I think he's at his best about 247 - 250. Although he was 243 for Klitschko & Sykes. His last fight with Long he came in at about 256. I'm sticking with Toney as my pick though!Quote:

i watched rahman n toney fight a cuple of days ago. If that is a slow lethargic toney then i cant wait to see him tomorrow. In that fight i noticed he was quite slow on his feet and tired in the later rounds but the way he picked his punches was wicked. he rocked rahman with left hooks and over hand rights. the sharpness of the punches was amazing.

Its crazy how much 4 pounds makes a differance. if I remember right Toney came in at 237 against rahman and now he's 233. To me he looks like he's in a little better shape then he was for Rahman. I just hope its true. I really want Toney to beat Peters ars. If Toney can gets hit flush from Peter and it doesnt phase him then that should answer the questions if Toney can handle a shot from the Heavies because Peters the biggest puncher in the HW division right now. Man this is the first time in awhile I've been excited to see HW fight I hope its a good one. I'm still going with Toney by UD.

Toney's still way too big but I think this might be the best he's looked since Booker, definitely better than Guinn or Rahman. Its only 4 pounds but he looks more solid than he has lately.
I guess its just lowered expectations really.
