bika undaunted by calzaghe test
Cameroonian super-middleweight Sakio Bika says he is not scared of facing double world champion Joe Calzaghe at Manchester's MEN Arena on 14 October.
Bika, who impressed recently against WBC Champion Markus Beyer in Germany, survived a scorpion bite as a child and says after that, nothing scares him.
"Calzaghe's a great fighter but one scorpion bite is more painful than a billion punches from him," he said.
"You can't get closer to death than I did so why should I worry about him?"
Bika, 27, is now based in Australia and has only lost once in 23 professional bouts.
His bout against Beyer in May was stopped when the German sustained a cut under his eye caused by an accidental clash of heads.
And Bika said that having come so close in his first world title bout, he would not fall short this time.
"I'm not scared to travel and fight an opponent in there own backyard to achieve my dream of becoming world champion," he said.

Come on Snakey, he's only based in Autralia... not a true australian like the great Steve Irwin! ;D
What I mean is he has nothing to loose, by either upsetting Calzaghe or getting beaten... so why should he have any fear? All or nothing is... nothing when you have nothing ;)

Re: bika undaunted by calzaghe test

Some people are saying not every fight should be a super fight...but hes only had one and he needs more then that to cement his place in history. If he doesnt chase superfights now then he wont get them imo. I dont think bika will win and i think joe picked a too easier opponent after winning against another world champion.

When they announced the fight I remember them saying it will be WITHOUT American TV coverage.

Yep time is running out
They said they have a big TV date lined up in Febuary for Calzaghes "mega fight"....Fuck knows who against though
According to FW, Hopkins, Jones and Beyer have never wanted to know, Taylors team have refused a fight, obviously the Johnson fight is gone, I dont think the Woods fight will happen, so I guess that leaves Kessler if he beats Beyer :-\
