CC for the info. Don't think I've ever seen either of these guys. VS. will actually have a good fight? Miracle :o
I really like this guy. Tough, solid, good combinations and LWAYS in exciting fights. I erroneoulsy reported that he had been KTFO in his last fihgt, but it was in actual fact a DIFFERENT fighter names Jesus Soto Karass ??? ;D He's fighting tonight, coming off 8 wins in a row. A tough tough fighter. Always exciting, watch him if you can!
Hopefully,if he wins this,he'll get a shot at someone like Clottey or Berto.
He's in for a tough fight tonight on VS, Juan "the butcher" Buendia is a very solid fighter. Should be a great scrap.
I'm looking forward to tonight. Everytime I think VS. I think Tye Fields; and I have to go inhale some Prozac. Nice to see some good fights for a change on there.
They changed the card its now going to be Tye Fields Vs Cliff Couser, and Rahman Vs Zuri Lawrence.
HAHA got you LEGION. :P
El Gamo you know Soto Karass is Margaritos sparring partner? No wonder they are both getting better.
It's either get better or get hospitalized ;DQuote:

Yup,it's no surprise that Karass has won 8 in a row since training with Tony. He reminds a bit of Tony. The way he puts punches together, his tough chin. I think he is better technically and has a better jab but not as willful, physically imposing or strong/powerfull. Still,I'd like to see Karass for Berto.Heck,Karass v anyone is fun to watch!Quote:

I have no idea why but so would I. Berto seems humble etc but I just can't but think he's over rated. When I watch him(and I've seen quite a few of his fights) I find him..wooden..lacking?Maybe it's just me,nontheless, even if it is just me,I'd like to see Soto Karass beat his ass.Quote:

I was looking for footage of Karass on youtube, and I found this lil vid of the maywood gym where he trains alot.
He's the last guy to spar "Famoso" Hernandez wearing the yellow headgear.

At least I think thats him, but theres a guy named Jose Luis Soto Karass but he's a 5'6" LWW Jesus Soto Karass is 5'10" WW It looks to be Jesus but I couldnt be for sure. I guess it Jose but he looks bigger than 5'6"...well its a cool clip anyway.
The versus website has a funny typo that Soto-Karass is fighting Ray Mercer...lol oopsie.
They must have Tye working overtime for them. ;DQuote:

First it was Mercer,Then Sherman williams and now the always existing threat in Lawrence LOl.
I think these two ,Soto and Buedina would get insulted if you didnt hit them.
Buendia looks tired ,looks like he would do better at lighter weight Imo.
wow threw only 4 rounds they both have landed 38% of punches
493/178 soto
352/125 Buendia Good fight.
.
This is a war through 5 round they are averaging about 100 ounches each per round, and most are power shots. Great so far!
Soto catching himugly.....soto getting versatile with boxing.Need some defense though
Is it just me or did Soto really seem for the 1st 5 rounds to be emulating Margarito's style. Doesn't impose his will as hard as Tony, but uses the uppercut to the head and body very similar to Tony; stance much the same. Let's the other guy get off 1st much of the time though and small steps it in, whereas Tony will walk straight in and get off 1st most of the time. Takes too many lefts to the head, but good fighter. Not a finisher like Tony yet. Am I seeing things?? On target?? That other kid is tough.
Brutal.....screw defense huh?Realized Im In Hijack mode,sorry ElGamo,I just like fights.also realized that D-up really Sux...still
Soto Imo could be alot more effective if he shortened up
True Talent has a way of rubbing off I see ;DLong and Rangy like Tony.Quote:

The chins on these guys are incredible...slugfest.
I love it, screw defense this is freaking beutiful...two mexican warriors just goin balls out. I didnt see 1 clinch the whole fight, hats off to both, but Soto-Karass's chin is freaking amazing, he barely looked bothered. Buendia took a page from Karass's book and took too hard a fight this early, but his stock didnt drop much in my book.
CoolClick To ElGamo,Thanks for the mention.Goooodfight would have missed it otherwise.
No boubt about it No Contest.Quote:

Good fight, Buendia takes too many for his own good. But I think he was hurt more than he showed for the last few rounds; tough guy. But Soto ain't no finisher for sure. Spico;i's right, Soto needs to get shorter as he ate some stupid punches by standing straight up and backing out straight. Entertaining though, and I bet the next one will be my Tylenol PM ;D
punch stats
Soto-Karass Buendia
thrown 1288 900
landed 523 331
pct 41% 37%
thats a 10 round fight not 12. :o
Double :o :o We'll be lucky if they throw 500 the next fight.Quote:

CC to No Contest also then.....Good mention.
Ive just had a revelation.........I like Watching Rahmans Interviews more than his fights sometimes.Maybe He and Tua should go for the Trilogy and Figure it out since they cant get big fights :D
I was just thinking the same thing, they are about in the same condition, and have fighting about the same amount of time. Im sure Rahman wnts some revenge for that after the bell shot.
 Nostradomus would be envious my man..... ;DQuote:

On paper this fight looked like a nothing fight, 17-3-3 vs. 14-1-1 you never know when you'll get a good fight. Soto-Karass seems to always be in good fights tho, keep an eye on him.
