All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
Witter got owned and I'm fuckin made up, arrogant prick doesn't deserve Hatton on that performance.
Hatton would have destroyed Witter last night, I've said Hatton would destroy him all along and yet some actually think Witter would beat Hatton  pathetic.
TIME TO TAKE THAT BLOG DOWN NOW VD HAHAHA!!! ;D
There's only one Ricky Hatton.........:D :D :D
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
How some people came to the conclusion Witter would destroy Hatton I don't know.. Hatton would of slowly massacred Witter last night. I think the next interview with Ricky over the Witter situation will be the one to watch, I expect a few jokes over it. ;D
Ricky's the main man in the UK, always has been.

Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
Look what this guy Ross wrote last night on the RBR thread:
"Still think he has the beating of Hatton and I also thought hed give Mayweher nightmares, he probaqbly still would"
Possibly the worst statement I've heard this year
Doesn't beat the clown who wrote "Jose Luis Castillo never got up from that body shot against Hatton beacuse he weren't getting paid"
I'm still looking for that dufus but he/she won't own up.

Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
the point about castillo probably isnt that far off the mark actually , would you bother getting up for more if you were getting nothing for it
he also got up straight after the count if i remember correctly which would suggest he wasnt all that hurt , and castillo isnt the sort to quit

Your wrong there mate, watch this video, he stays down all throughout Hattons celebrations.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6UeYWanxhfs
But I was always a bit skeptical of the way he fell, he walked off a bit.. then just dropped. If it hurt him as much as it implies surely he would of just dropped on the spot?

not necessarily with a body shot as i think they would be a delayed reaction and he went down when he nexxt tried to breathe in or something along those lines it happens a bit with shots like that take de la hoya against hopkins for example

when your getting consistently hit that hard its very tough mentally to pick yourself up and carry on knowing full well your on a hiding to nothing.
I suspect JLC could of picked himself up and held off a hatton onslaught till the end of the round...
But he would of been going on raw adrenaline and being an experienced pro he realised he was out of his depth and couldnt fight fire with fire.
As for witter being overrated??:confused::confused:
its probably coming from the same people that now claim hatton is "Washed up".
In reality junior will be back and will be winning a world title in the not too distant future...but undoubtedly last night destroyed any hopes of him ever getting the massive paydays fighters like hatton, floyd and cotto would bring!!
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
i think personally that witter wont be able to win a world title now simply becasue i think he lacks hunger, last night he knew he had to do something in the 12th but didnt really try he seems very lazy and he didnt look all tht tired , so i dont know why he didnt just throw everything at bradley rather than cruise to a decision loss ???
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
I was actually hoping that Bradley did a number on his last night so I could come on here today and say who the fuck is Junior Witter, except for a load mouth blabering cunt? I know for a fact after watching him last night that Ricky Hatton would have beaten him so easily. His style is akward, but it can't take pressure as was proved last night. Ricky Hatton is ALL pressure and when Witter was toying with that right hand above Bradley he was open for so many punches. In fact Ricky Hattons favourite punch, the left hook to the body. Hatton would have got him out within the first 5-6 rounds last night. Witter is far too hyped by the people on this forum and it really was annoying. Well it proved that Witter is a nobody and he will never get a Hatton shot. If Bradley keeps up the good work and gets more experience he should look for a Hatton fight. Hes a very good fighter, i was pleased.
COME ON THE RICKY HATTON! I hate Junior Witter with a passion.

He did the same with Judah . Hed rather lose safely than take a chance to win . He looked very tired and perhaps couldnt raise his game anymore than he did . At 34 its not surprising for a little man to be showing signs of wear and tear especially with a style dependant on relfexes cuz thats the 1st thing to go .

Good objective post. Was expecting some Hatton nuthuggers backslapping when opening this thread.
Obviously Witter doesn't deserve a shot at Hatton after last night, he looked far from a world beater. I actually hope he did undertrain for the fight, cos if he didn't he's finished. He's always a slow starter but never got going and looked tired later on.
Anyway, fair play to Bradley, if one of our guys went over to the US with such little experience and took away the title from a good champion we'd all be raving about it.

oh ye all credit to bradley he came and did what he had to take the title and from his post fight interview he seems like hell fight anybody,
id personally go straight after kotelnik a very good oppurtunity to unfiy their and be the main man in the division

Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
If Witter was as good as he said he was, why didnt he chase the men at 147? Instead of mouthing of to get a Ricky Hatton fight? Hes a real joke.
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
Witter is a plank. Ive always said Hatton beats him. Hatton stops that version of Witter.
Hopefully Hatton: Witter is out of everybodies system now.

Look at his facial expression, he was absolutely sickened by that body punch. You can tell by the position of his leg as he fell he did not want to go down also.

He was reading the headlines way before the fight. He looked so far past Bradley and lost track of what is most Immportant....the hungry fighter standing in front of him looking to ruin his day.Bradley did not have the luxury of preening over his maybe/maybe not next big fight and posturing for the cameras.Witter has skills and a style that causes headaches, but last night he was out fought and Some flaws were glaring...Defense,looked slow, head waaay up high on the inside, little initiative. He has a tough comeback ahead Imo.
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
A lot of (justified) pent-up, angry gloating from the Hatton fan club after last night's fight. Justifiable because I'm sure the lot of you were probably sick and tired of the "Hatton is ducking Witter" storyline. But tell me....
Wouldn't you'd rather have it been Hatton, instead of Bradley, who did the job?
;)
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
Hatton actually didnt have any reason to share a ring with Witter. He was a load mouth who bosts of knocking out a shot Harris. He barely beat Lynes and apart from being Kotelnik he has done jack shit. So to be honest if he was as good as he said he was, he would have beaten a young/unknown Bradley handily and moved onto Hatton. Hatton WOULD have faught him if Witter had got himself more of a name and more belts. But Witter is a nobody and he basically proved that last night, at 34 as well time is not on his side at all. But hes fucked it now, his only chance of getting another fight with Ricky is if he beats Bradley CONVINSINGLY and cleans up the weight class. But the chances of that after last nights showing are low.
Torres would blow this guys head off too, he cant handle pressure.
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
Granted... Witter is crap, and probably even Witter's relatives are changing their names. But when a loudmouth goes on and on and on, isn't it a bit more satisfying when your fighter does the honors himself, preferably ending with the offending loudmouth looking up at the ring lights?
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
I suppose in ways, but Hatton needs big money fights and apart from the people who really follow boxing, who the fuck is Junior Witter? He got a bit of recognition for load mouthing in the tabloids, but apart from that he was exposed last night. Hatton has reasons not to fight him, legacy and money being one of them. It proved last night that Witter would be fuck all on Hattons legacy.
-
Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
True. Witter's probably reduced now to mumbling "I coulda been a contender" at local bars now. He'd better off retiring from boxing, and finding another line of work.

WTF mate, are you having a laugh ??
HE BROKE CASTILLO RIBS DON'T YOU REMEMBER!!! Would you get up after 10 after getting 3 of your ribs broke ?? don't think so ;)
It was a perfect body shot that NO FIGHTER WOULD HAVE GOT UP FROM, ask Bob Arum, did you see what he said after the fight ??

Re: All you fans saying Hatton is ducking Witter HAHAHA!!!
How does Witter losing change the fact Hatton has ducked him all through his career?
At 34 years old it was only a matter of time before Witter come unstuck.
Bradley did what Hatton should have done. And his standing in boxing - especially Brit boxing - would be a whole lot higher.
Hatton would have ALWAYS gone down as the far superior fighter to Witter, but without facing and beating him the question remains....

I think Witter show'd his age last night, he lost a split decision to a younger hungrier fighter hardly getting owned? some might say getting owned would be getting ko'd into the turnbuckle ;) your celebrating like Hatton ko'd him but the fact still is Hatton always ducked him

No Fenster the question doesn't remain.
Ricky Hatton's wins at 140.
Kosta Tszyu RTD 11 (Kosta was IBF champ, P4P#2 at the time)
Juan Urango W12 (Juan was IBF Champ)
Carlos Maussa KO9 (Carlos was WBA champ and KO'd a Witter opponent in Harris)
Jose Luis Castillo KO4 (Castillo was considered the biggest threat to Hatton at the time)
Junior Witter's biggest wins.
Andreas Kotelnik W12 (A guy who beat a blown up lightweight in Gavin Rees, big deal )
Vivian Harris KO7 (A guy who was also KO'd in 7 by a Hatton victim)
Colin Lynes EBU champ (Lynes could have got the nod some people believe)
Lovemore N'dou (Yes he beat him...and....:-\)
Hatton has the best wins BY FAR at 140 pounds at it is evident Witter needs Hatton, NOT Hatton needs Witter ;) ;)
You and others have made Hatton out to be avoiding Twitter like the plague, what is so good about Witter ?? he switches his style  big wow.
Hatton hasn't ducked him at all, even VD said he used it to hate on Hatton coz there ain't nothing else to use. Hatton-Witter would not be a big match, Witter is boring and has no credible opponents on his record, at 34 he made his debut on US television, that says it all.
Good day sir ;D

Its funny people always bring the turnbuckle into play because I recall Hatton getting up after that incident, watch the fight again I suggest and you'll see ;)
HATTON GOT OWNED BY THE P4P BEST 5 WEIGHT WORLD CHAMP MAYWEATHER. WITTER GOT OWNED BY A GUY WHO HAS NEVER BEEN 12 ROUNDS BEFORE AND HAS FACED NOBODY IN THE TOP 25 AT 140 POUNDS ;D
Good day sir :D

Most of what you say is understandable, but Castillo was the biggest threat to Hatton?? He was old, moving up in weight, and appeared to be a shot fighter in his previous fight. I don't think many people thought Castillo had much of a chance against Hatton.

Who considered Castillo #2 to Hatton? He'd had one fight at 140 and many people (myself included) thought he was given a gift decision against an unknown fighter. Pretty much everyone had Hatton beating an old, shot Castillo.

A number of people, did you hear beforehand anyone say why he is fighting Castillo ?? he is old etc ?? plus did anyone say he is shot ?? no, it's only afterwards and Castillo was not shot, watch the 3rd round, he dominated Hatton.

You're missing the point.
I have NEVER stated Witter was BETTER than Hatton or his accomplishments come CLOSE to Hattons.
The fact REMAINS if Lazcano and EVERYONE ELSE on Hattons record barring Kostya, Floyd and Castillo were WORTHY opponents then Witter was too.
VD hasn't got a fucking clue about anything. He's the last person you wanna use to try and reinforce your view ;)

A number of people, did you hear beforehand anyone say why he is fighting Castillo ?? he is old etc ?? plus did anyone say he is shot ?? no, it's only afterwards and Castillo was not shot, watch the 3rd round, he dominated Hatton.
I recall plenty of people saying that Castillo was old and shot, which he was, based on his fight with Herman Ngoudjo. Hatton stopping Castillo was somewhat impressive, but the fact is that Castillo was well past his prime.

I said myself he was past his prime but IMO I don't believe he was shot.

I'm not a fan of either and honestly don't care that much either way but it seems odd that Hatton never fought him. The fight just makes sense.
And Fenster's got a point, if it was fine for Hatton to fight all the other guys that he fought why not Witter?
Curiously some of the reasons put forth sound a little like Floyd fans during the whole Margarito controversy.
It was silly how so many American fans got so riled up about this matchup. Like they really cared that much ;D Clearly just a method of bashing Hatton.

I'm not trying to bash Hatton, I quite like him, but it sure appeared he was avoiding Witter. Much like PBF avoided Margo.
