Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
I'm sorry,he's a nice guy and everything but ever since he was KTFO by Floyd, all I hear on EVERY site:Hatton wants a rematch,it'll be the biggest fight etc etc CRAP. The first fight wasn't even close. I can think of at least 5 guys that deserve a shot more than him.He hasn't even beaten anyone yet and how the heck does beating an old warrior like Lazcano and even Paulie get yo a shot at Floyd for the lineal title at 147? Hey,while we are at it,why don't we make Oscar v Mayorga 2 and Lacy v Calzaghe 2, I mean both of the lsoers of those fights have won since right?
Someone needs to beat Hatton before he enticees that pussy boy into a rematch(we all know Floyd doesn't want to fight any of the main guys at 147 if he can help it and pricks like the golden cock and Hatton give him every reason not to fight legit 147 pounders. )

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
Seeing Hatton get knocked out is something that would never get tiring. I'm hoping De La Hoya chooses Hatton as his farewell fight opponent. That way he can see Hatton really get smashed

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
If Lazcano is winning this one, it would be from a knock out. The 8-1 odds against Lazcano are a little crazy. Juan's no joke and he'll be up for this. I think it all depends on who takes the better punch. Lazcano's only been stopped once and that was 10 years ago. He's a sharp, accurate puncher but Hatton may be naturally stronger and punch a little harder. Close points win for Hatton with Lazcano making him fight for his life.

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
I think it's up to Floyd to turn down a rematch if it's offered and fight a real Welter who deserves a shot. The winner of Cotto - Margarito of course is 1st on the list.
I honestly think Floyd has more chance againsed Margarito that Cotto, Cotto has more chance at beating Floyd than Margarito....I think I just said the same thing twice:-\it's the beer I think
Anyway
As for Hatton, he and Billy said he was not a welter blah blah so why do it all over again? He lost to the best a weight class above him, in Vegas, a twat of a ref, its not all bad.
Stay at 140 and beat the best there Rick, Floyd won't come to England nor fight at 140 so forget it.

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
It's just people backing thier boy, nothing wrong with that i guess, i would have told with a straight face the broncos would win the super bowl last year and evey other year for that matter. Hatton had no chance the first time and even less in a re-match. Cotto and tony stand about as much of a chance of beating floyd as well. It's fight a real welter today and some other new claim to justify floyd the next. Floyd is too much of a complete fighter for any of them right now. Like ricky these guys are always the one till the fight actually happens. None of them really are.

The sun really shines out Floyds arse in your eyes. To say Cotto and Margarito have as much chance as Hatton is bollocks.

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
A Mayweather- Hatton rematch at the moment would be pointless as Floyd will outbox him again. Mayweather should try and get a fight with Mosely then the winner of Cotto-Marg to secure his legacy. I think Hatton is on the slide and will win tomorrow but will get outboxed by Paulie in the Garden.
-
Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
The devil in me would like Hatton to win this one but just barely or by robbery (remember the fight in Manchester)... So that Hatton will completely forget the PBF rematch and Paulie...
And Hatton will redirect his focus to the smaller PAC as his last money fight then PAC beat the hell out of Hatton... ;D

Twat of a ref?
If it wasnt for twat ref Dave Parris, Hatton may never have beaten Tszyu and he would never have got the shot against PBF. Truth is Hatton spent his whole career up till the PBF fight with the refs letting him hold and foul at will, yet when a ref stopped these things he couldnt handle it and got KTFO. Cortez didnt necessarily ref badly he just didnt ref how Hatton all his fans, and Floyd haters wanted the fight to be officiated.
To be totally honest Hatton did much better than he should have and in a rematch would probably be KO'd earlier. This is because he only fights one way and Floyd will know exactly what to expect in a second fight and wouldnt spend the first few roundds gettin used to Hattons style.

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
I think the talk of a rematch is stupid aswel...honestly what does he think is going to happen?! there is no way in my eyes i can see him winning it....and im pretty sure most of the public will see that. However the British public is what wound me up in the first place about the first fight. Everyone suddenly jumped on the bandwagon and was like 'ricky won the mind games, hes going to knock him out, he's in better shape' yet at the same time being ignorant to the fact that PBF is a far far far superior boxer that Hatton can ever hope to be.

.....True because they have a BETTER chance than Hatton because they are true 147 fighters and they can punch a hell of a lot harder.
Ricky should fight Cotto

I still like Hatton. I don't want to see Cotto put the hurt on him.

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
Shame on you El Gamo  How could you want Hatton get KTFO? regardless of what you think of him as a fighter, he is a stand up guy!!
...and to say he hasn't fought anybody

Lol !! Just my opinion bro..i'm wrong quite a bit so it's possible, i just don't see any threat to floyd right now. Each of them has thier reasons why they could beat floyd...i'm just convinced none of them will. No sunshine here though, floyd could loose to de la hoya and i wouldn't loose an ounce of sleep, now if and now to often when let's say the broncos loose you could catch me getting upset. We'll just see how it plays out, i haven't been wrong picking floyd yet. Before the fights his opponets are always too big, too strong, just as fast, too much pressure etc....after the fights his opponets are too old, past thier prime, out of thier weight class etc.....a fan of floyd's not really, but a fan of boxing i am. And since he's the best and pretty much reckonized as so by boxing itself i like him, not any more or less than almost all boxers besides ruiz, tarver, and layla. Actually if i were forced to buckle down and pick a fav due to some new law or something crazy it'd probably be berto. And even then i could watch them two fight and be happy with the result reguardless. Right now it's all just speculation, but if floyd does loose in the near future everyone feel free to rub it in as much as you like, all anti-floyd fans would after all this time deserve that and i'll take it lol!!

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
I couldnt wish for Ricky to be stopped. I dont even like to see him lose.
Ricky deserves credit. He has always stepped up to the plate and tried to fight the best. He was a huge underdog against Kostya and look what happened there. Revisionists and haters will always try to discredit a fighter. He didnt need to go up to welterweight and fight Collazo but he did. Collazo was much bigger than Hatton physically. Hatton ground out the decision. And then Mayweather. Hatton was fighting the best fighter in the world and outside his own weight class again. He had to make the fight. Ricky has a big heart, he had to try and topple Floyd. For 6 rounds it WAS competitive. The point deduction was a farce. A farce as bad as Barrera not being scored a knockdown against Marquez. Hatton fought the wrong fight that night though and Mayweather put him away.
Hatton has come back and won convincingly. Only a hater could begrudge that because Hatton is a heck of a guy with a lot of heart. I hope he is able to look good in his next couple of fights and if a rematch with Mayweather happens then so be it. You cannot blame Ricky that Mayweather would prefer to fight him instead of Cotto. Nobody should be hoping Ricky gets knocked out for that reason either. Hatton is very good, and he gets too much stick around here.

After getting this kind of punishment from Lazcano, I hope Hatton reconsider his quest for a Mayweather rematch and instead refocus his attention on the challenge of the very much smaller Pacquiao...

Pacquiao??? Now thats just Silly...!

Lyle you are a Cool guy but sometimes you could be as cruel as they come.
Why so much hate on Hatton. Can you imagine him vs Cotto? he(Hatton) will end up worst than Ali.:-\

Sorry man, stand up guy or not,he does not deserve a rematch with Floyd in anyway shape or form. He thinks he can beat Lazcano and Paulie and go back to 147 to fight Floyd? Hell no! And I said he hasn't fought anyone since his loss to FLoyd which would merit a rematch with Floyd.
You want to fight the best at 147,go and beat some other fighters at 147. Margarito's beaten 7-8 RING top 10 fighters at WW and is only getting his shot at the bigtime NOW.Hatton can't just waltz to 147 fight, get KTFO and demand a rematch. He does'nt deserve it.

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
I think Hatton's body and chin just don't sit well at 147...
If the ref or fight style allowes him to fight his fight, and do the most damage that he can inside, then I believe he does have the power to trouble a lot of the 147's out there...
But to get off all the effective shots he needs to bring down some of the better guys at 147, he's going to get hit with a lot of very hard punches...
I don't think his chin stands up to that very well.. He's a tough guy and realises it's "not a tickling contest", but getting tagged with to many hard punches makes him abandon his game plan a little (as it would do with most fighters)... He gets more weary of coming in, and isn't as effective at bullying and overpower the bigger opponents at 147..
He is certainly not a bad fighter, and has done very well against some very good fighters in my opinion... I take nothing away from him..
But basically, I think he's just missing 2 or 3 assets to really succeed at 147 (which is lets face it, one of the most competitive divisions right now).
1. Chin that he would need to be able to withstand the punches he needs withstand in order to get his own work done.
2. Defence to actually avoid all those punches and still get his own work done and overwhelm opponents.
3. The true power to really end a fight early with opponents at 147 ..
If he of been at 147 for more of his career, had kept his speed and maybe taken advantage of a little more power that comes with moving up weight.. And perhaps a little more defence while getting in close to fighters,,, I think he could have succeeded a lot more....
Overall though, for his attributes he got the most out of himself and his career and I have huge respect for that...

Re: Would someone please knock Hatton out again.
Hatton is just too short to fight the best at WW. His reach is dwarfed by practically everyone. He will always be having to overcome natural size deficiencies. A couple of inches taller and he could do it, but he's something like five foot five. 140 is as far as Ricky can go. If a rematch is to happen then it simply cannot be at 147. Hatton has realised and admitted twice that its too big for him. To do it a third time would be mad. I would love to see Hatton: Mayweather at 140 but Mayweather would never agree to it. Unless......the money can talk. Unlikely though.
I would prefer to see Floyd fighting the names at 147 really. But I like Hatton and wouldnt begrudge him having a second shot. Just seems 147 gives Floyd the power edge though.
