Peter can bang but the thing that worries me is he always looked solid like he could take a good shot then Jameel drops him 3 times perhaps David tua could take him out.

Tua will ko him inside 5
Right now? Tua would probably get his first KO loss. If he could shape up and return to form I'd say he probably wins.
Neither are very good boxers, both can bang i would of said they both have good chins uptill Peters last fight so i give Tua a slight advantage.
I couldn't say off the bat.I personally don't think Tua can be knocked out by Peter. If Peter fought the way he did in the Toney II fight using his jab constantly and Tua came in as he did against Rahman in their second fight.I think Peter would win hands down but if Tua comes in good shape not even great shape I think he'd KO Peter. I believe it's do or die for Tua right now and I don't think their is heavyweight beside's Klitschko who could beat him. When he's in shape
Please- any fighter with some speed and good defense beats Tua. He's heavy-handed and iron-chinned- that's it. That's why Chris Byrd beat him and Fres Oquendo should have beaten him. So fighters like Sultan Ibragimov and Ruslan Chagaev would have a field day with Tua.
True, but I think we can all agree that 'finesse' isn't a word we'd associate with Tua.
How in the world has Tua NOT been on a desent profile card on the networks for so long?He is still marketable, has a fan base and looks to be taking his conditioning seriously. I can see Peter out boxing Tua all night.Peter had shown a fodness for the canvas Vs.McCline but I think he gained from It.Totally different types of power, activity level and style McCline/Tua.
Any sane fan would go for Peter he has been active and fought at a much higher level, prime for prime id go for Tua thats a given.
Unless Tua can find his absolute peak only a nutter (Or Pavlik fan) would pick him over Peter as limited he is.
I'm surprised so many people are picking Tua. Have you guys seen how he looked against Cisse Salif, Robert Hawkins, Wheeler or Griffis, I mean it took him a long time to get rid of Wheeler and Griffis and he didn't even look that close to stopping Salif or Hawkins. These aren't top level guys. He doesn't look that explosive to me anymore.
I like tua, but peter no question.
David might be getting old an rusty, But he should knock out Peter in three to four round easily, Peter is just over-rated both power, skill and chin wise.
tua by KO
If Tua is in shape (big if) he stops Peter...Sam Peter is succeptible to the left hook and uppercut as seen by Sam's fights with Wlad, Jameel and even Toney who froze Sam several times with the hook...are there many/any fighters today that throw better left hooks or uppercuts than Tua?
Sam Peter ain't no Chris Byrd and he will be easy for David to hit...Tua within 5 rounds by brutal KO...
I see Peter backing up the whole fight and Tua knocking him out. 5th round.
I think we're investing a little too much in what we saw when Peter fought McCline. Every single one of us saw in McCline a fighter who rarely, if ever, showed up. I'm saying without saying, that there is a specific reason for that that was hinted at in the pre-interview with McCline before the fight. McCline has never been that aggressive in any fight I've seen. Oh, and guess what? Peter took all of that anyway and still came back and won the fight decisively.
peter has a steady workwate to beat tua now
but prime tua
Tua and Peter both get hit alot but in the exchange of power shots I see Sam going down.If James Toney can rock Sam imagine what Tua would do. Tua by ko before rd5.
Sam Peter by UD right now but Tua in his prime....Sam's chin has been destroyed though
