Worst cuts you've ever seen.
Speaking of the Judah stoppage due to his cut over the right eye, what are the worst cuts you've ever seen in a televised fight? I mean, boxing by nature can be bloody sometimes. We're all used to seeing some blood in fights. But has there ever been a cut in a fight that made you instinctively look away?
Two cuts come to my mind right away. One was just this past Saturday night. Man, oh man... that one punch by Dirrell immediately opened up the ugliest gash I've ever seen on someone's forehead. Hell, even the commentators thought Paschall's nose was broken, but that was because the blood so quickly squirted out and ran down the guy's face. The doctor even had to dodge some blood that Paschall inadvertently spit out while the doctor was examining him. That was gruesome. That fight HAD to be stopped, or the guy would've collapsed due to lack of blood.
The other one that comes to mind was the cut eye that Vitali Klitschko suffered against Lennox Lewis. Geez... when they showed a closeup of that eye, it damn near looked like the guy had grown another eye just above it. Again... no way that fight could've been allowed to continue.

It's crazy how they let Klitschko keep going even though his whole eyelid was gone. I was really hoping they would let Paschall get one more round, but it just was leaking like a faucet. I found these online real quick:

Marciano had a miracle worker for a cutman, and had that emergency reservoir to kick it up a notch,
By the way, does anyone remember that nasty cut from what's-his-name in the first season of the Contender?

Marquez needed 70 stitches for this one. I've seen worse, but 70 stitches is a ton of work. Look at BHop in the background just grinning.
Ali vs. Henry Cooper. It was a bloodbath.

I remember watching the corner try to pull the skin back over this one and use the vaseline like putty but the blood kept breaking the seal. The ref was standing right there - but they let them keep trying. . .

Not a cut, but when Rahman was headbut by Holyfield, he literally turned around and looked like this in one second. I couldn't believe they let him keep fighting and I was just waiting for his head to explode.

Duddy cuts during his ringwalks his skin is so thin. No one gives him any credit for fighting most of that Smichet fight with these cuts. Second one is the Yory Boy fight.

that Duddy cut in the Smichet fight was bad, how he finished the fight after the cut and some of th eshots he took shows he's durable , or Smichet doesn't have a punch

W Klit. vs Williamson was ended by a pretty nasty cut.
Hagler's cut against Hearns was on track to stop that fight.

I think it was Danny "lil Red" Lopez.
That fight was in '76. The fight I am thinking must have been later, after I finished high school. I'm thinking it might have been his title fight loss to Jim Watt in 1980, which was stopped on cuts.

O hope Cortez got some sort of official telling off for that disgrace.. sat in the corner bleeding away.. shi* had me worried for the guy..

I believe that was Joey Gilbert when he got cut against Peter Manfredo.

Ezzard accidentally followed through on a hook with an elbow, breaking Rockys nose and causing a slit.
Rocky, unable to breathe in the corner, asked his corner to rip it open a little more in order to allow him to breathe.

Marciano always had an unshakable belief in himself.
Even in the first Walcott fight it can be seen. He was totally outclassed and outfought, but he kept coming forward. It paid off for him and he landed the infamous punch that made him champion.

I had to revive this thread because I just watched Hagler/Antuofermo 2. Real bad cut.
Editing because it actually wasn't as bad as I thought. Vito's corner quit because he wasn't getting anything done.

Mike The Persecutor Paschall out of Balitmore was recently cut on the forhead by Andre Dirrell. The blood spurted out like a fountain and sprayed the entire press core at ringside. Great stuff!!:foruml10gc5:

And then in his last fight Dirrell also cut Oganovs eye open with a punch.
Instead of the Matrix, they need to call him "The Slasher" ;D

I'd have to go with this one too. Before then, I would have voted for the cut Lennox opened above Vitali's eye in their fight. Looked like a 3rd eye.
