Favourite item in your house...

I was thinking about this earlier, and my favourite thing is my headphones... They are a cool $600 pair, and ever since I bought them a year and a half ago, i've had them on my head probably every single night since.. They make movies, games, music, anything just sound great.. A lot of the time I just have them on and aren't even listening to anything through them.. They cocoon me away from my girlfriends annoying voice as well... Absolutely the best money I have ever spent on a single item. I have got so much use out of them, and would feel lost if they broke...

Second favourite would be laptop obviously as that is the next best thing to piss my time away with...

PC and Laptop are definitely up there.

Last Christmas my Parents got me a classy little LCD television and a DVD player specifically for watching fights.
It was one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received and my favourite.

My favourite item would be my laptop, saved up for it and paid for it with my own money. Most expensive thing I've ever bought but needed it badly. Plus it's the first time I've had a non mac computer due to my dad loving them, so it's good to be able to have any program working on the comp. Plus it now means I can keep anything I download away from anyone but my eyes, basically lets me piss my time away without anyone whinging at me ;D

The fridge - THE BEER IS IN THERE!!!! ;D

The computer is a mighty resource, so that would have to figure highly.

I guess the question should be if you had to get rid of all items except one which one would you keep

That is a salient point. I do have a great fridge it does come in mighty useful. The storehouse of all my beer and sausages.

The beer and computer combo is a demon.

Im fond of a lot of things now I think about it. Right now I cannot live without my fan. I have my air con unit but I dont want to run that 24/7 so I tend to walk around the home dragging my fan in tow. I spend a lot of time with my trusty fan.

That really is a tough one to answer:(

I've become addicted to Saddo's, and have made quite a few "friends" on here. I would miss this place immensely if there wasn't my laptop.

With that said; I'd have to say my stereo. I don't think I could bear to be without music; and have one of my stereo's on 24/7.

Of course that's silly because I can play music on my laptop, DUH!!!!! I just woke up so f#ck off.

Stereo is always better than computer. On a good stereo anyway. I listen to music a lot too. The television is probably the most useless item I have. In the UK I would watch some TV if something took my interest. In Korea the thing just stays off! ;)

You could always use the computer and use the stereo at the same time. I prefer the sound on my stereo and wouldnt have it any other way. But for new music you do need the computer.

I agree about the pointlessness of the cell phone. Nobody calls me anymore. In fact last week I dropped my phone into a cup of tea. Unfortunately it still works. I only ever get calls off English teachers asking me grammatical questions. :(

Truth be known, I've only heard a few of there songs as a good mate has most of their albums and he thought I'd like them, had to say from what I heard I was impressed

I have a fully soundproofed dungeon, with all the trimmings - leg and arm restraints, cricket bat, butcher hooks, a well full of shitty water, an Iron Maiden, thumbscrew, various sharp implements and a full Sabatier skinning set.

I think there's a Jehovah's Witness in there at the moment (he's a bit of a fraud, because despite being a Witness, under duress he admits that he hasnlt actually seen anything)

In the little vestibule, I have my 'take away' kit - blindfold, pepper spray, rope, chloroform, mobile CCTV kit, rohypnol, tomazepan, ketamine etc.

One kind of leads to the other, so I's like to count them as one item, if that's OK.

I also have a small garage-bought statue of Alan Partridge that talks to me sometimes, but I think that would be second, as he sometimes never shuts up and wants me to do unpleasant things to people.

You know i'm a fan of your glove, but that tv is sensational!

I just bought a brand new Phillips Cineos 42" on the weekend... 95% of the time it is great... 5% of the time it literally blows me away with the picture quality and contrast..
With old televisions, I would always have to turn the brightness up. I couldn't stand going around to someone else's house and them having the brightness down so that any detail was lost...

But slowly watching my LCD i've been turning the brightness down bit by bit, and the more it goes down the better it looks.. The contract between actual black (not grey) and the colours is amazing... Even the detail during dark scenes is awesome...


So far i've only been able to play DVD's through my PS2, which just doesn't have the picture quality to take advantage of the television.

I absolutely can't wait to get a new DVD player or possible upgrade to the PS3 and watch BlueRay DVD's...

It's definetly upped my enjoyment of watching television again.
