Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
Can he use his skill to frustrate Pavlik & workout a SD, or will Pavlik just be the busier man & show too much for Hopkins?
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
For me Hopkins needs to pack in. It was a shame to see an ATG pretending that he had been hit in the nuts just so he could get a 5 minute breather against Calzaghe.
As for Pavlik, I like the guy and I think he is an ever improving boxer with he world at his feet. He could well become the first man to KO Hopkins if B-Hop starts feeling lethargic again.
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
I think he can do it, yeah. Frustrate Pavlik to a SD is pretty much exactly what I do see him doing.
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
I think Pavlik is going to hurt Hopkins.

Alright that seals it, Hopkins will win this fight in a big way.

Hop needs to retire. His legacy is intact so he should hang up his gloves. The way he fights now is horrible to watch due to him being so defensive. He should have took it to Calzaghe after the knockdown. I respect the guy though.

Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
43 is too olg he aint no sugar ray robinson. its just gonna look horrible watch hopkins get beat up.
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
i think he should retire after this fight maybe, another 1 in him, fare play to him tho for keeping it up
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
Money and legacy I can see fighting for,he's allready got both,I dont see the point of this
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
Hopkins whilst past his best is still a top level operator
I still feel he should rertire and enjoy life
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
Hopkins is past his best but can still perform at top level and is a problem for any fighter at 175.
Hopkins has a really good chance of beating Pavlik.
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
I think Pavlik is way overrated, simply becuz he is the only decent white middleweight out there & becuz he beat Taylor. America has always looked for the "great white hope" becuz that is a dying breed!
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
pavlik isnt way overrated thats just crazy he beat the man who beat the man. how is that overrated man that just sounds like somebody being a hater:stupid:

OK, let's get technical cuz you may not know fighting, but styles make fights & the man who beat the man means nothing and is invalid! a very uneducated statement

Ive been pretty good in my recent picks, I'll have you know.;D
I would be surprised to see Hopkins get through this one, Hopkins usually gets crafty in the championship rounds and against Calzaghe was nowhere to be seen. His legs tire against high output fighter much quicker so he is less effective later on. I can see Pavlik wearing Hopkins down with the chase and begin to put on some hurt, or Hopkins will try and bide time again.
Re: Hopkins: is 43 for Bernard too old? Or is he does he still got it?
I am steawing and all mixed up on this one.Almost like looking at a hot stove and being so tempted to touch it.....but knowing I'll get burned ??
Hopkins must take risks and capitilize on his sharpshooting.Life long fan but he can not ride his legacy right now.Imo,He has every possibility of frustrating and taking Pavlik very deep down the stretch,Shite,he frustrates me just watching him sometimes :-X.

look i never said just because he beat jermain taylor that hes gonna beat hopkins which i think he is by the way what i said is that he beat the champ who beat the champ, now how is that being overrated why because he beat the man to beat at middleweight. your calling him overrated as if he hasnt done nothing with his career.
