And, do you think a jury would convict the father on this one?? If I was on the jury I sure as hell wouldn't because I know the mental state the father would be in.... Plus for 100'000's of years we have instinctively been programed to protect our family and offspring with our life... We would take a big rock and kill anyone that fucked with our family like that... And that man would have acted on pure instinct and 'insane' rage..... He walks free and gets a medal of honor in my book..

Plus I don't think sex offenders should EVER be let out... One because they are sick bastards.. But two, and this is the main point..... Usually they have been in jail for 10 years, and they live better in there than they do on the outside anyway. They rarely have jobs or lives on the outside, and all they have to look forward to is planning their next attack.. I mean, how many re-offend?? WAY to many.....

I honestly think that the release of sex offenders should NOT be done on a case by case basis anymore... They need to look at the odds and past history of what happens in most cases when sex offenders are released... They simply do it again... To them, going and attacking someone is worth the jail sentence.... So they WILL do it again... There is almost no doubt...

In some countries, being caught with a gram of weed serves a bigger jail sentence that being a 10 time convicted pedophile in our "civilized" countries..

I would probably batter him in a controlled manner with a heavy pan. Then call the police and be done with it.

knowing/dating someone who had been raped in the past, i feel like this hits even closer to home for me..

the guy not only breaks into the house, whether to rape the girl or not, he has a deadly weapon..

so let's break this down real simple.. he has a deadly weapon, which obviously can kill someone, so the fact that he was killed does not bother me at all.. not even in the least..

second, if his plans were to rape the girl, then this is going to affect an "innocent" girl for the rest of her life.. a horrifically traumatic experience..

i feel that if someone breaks into another persons house with even a stupid inclination just to steal some cash, whatever the consequences may be, on some level, they deserved it.. If i broke into someones house cause i saw car keys on the counter and wanted to steal his car from the driveway, and he shoots me because of it, how can i ask for any sympathy from ANYONE..

using this logic, the perpetrator in this case, had every reason to deserve any level of punishment.. unfortunately for him, it was the ultimate.

we all have fears, it comes down to your fight or flight instincts..

you should read about panic and fear to understand it more, that is the key to not being afraid when you're in a situation like this..

when you start to panic, your adrenaline pumps, your pupils dilate to better your vision etc.. at this point you decide whether you're going to fight or flee, but your body is also very susceptible to be "paralyzed" if you let the panic get to you.. you tense up and freeze, and you aren't using the extra blood flow/chemical flow as it's intended to be used, to defend yourself.. For someone who may not be confident in such a situation, like you are implying, then this would be a concern to you..

i'm not picking on you or anything, i'm more just relating to you.. i've been in situations where i knew i was going to get jumped and i let the fear get to me instead of use it as it is intended to.. it's intended to give you the best fighting chance for you to survive.. but since then, i've always been confident in "surviving" after learning more about how adrenaline and all that stuff work..

i would rip that guy limb from limb if he ever entered into my house.. people say that you have the "strength of a giant" when you see someone breaking in.. but it's up to you to use that strength and control it.

I will say this; that guy didn't go to work or have an enjoyable life for quite a while after we layed hands on him; and his dentist was probably busy for many weeks. If I'd have caught him in the act the night he did it he woul have been in a tree shredder. That's just for my dogs; had it been a human child he would have been scuba diving without air tanks. Not trying to give internet tough guy talk; that's just what would happen....period.

Most well bred pits are as friendly as a kitten to people; and easy to steal. Some people make their's mean just so it doesn't happen. I don't teach mine people aggression so they will usually jump right in a car with anybody.
