There's been a few, Civilisation ruined my life, I loved Mafia, Oblivion on the pc with all the mods was a dream and I loved the Half Life games and more recently Stalker. Bioshock was an amazing experience too.
One of my favourite games was from a few years ago, a gangster first person shooter called Kingpin.
Being able to walk up to people and tell them 'I will fucking bury you!' before putting a cap in their skull and smacking their brains out with a crowbar was a particular joy.
It had one of my favourite moments in a video game ever, where I went into a toilet and started talking to a prostitute who told me to get fucked, so I stabbed her over 100 times and mutilated her tits, great game.
Another game I enjoyed even though it was shit was postal 2. It was hilarious fun walking into a supermarket and getting your cock out before shooting someone in the head, then driving his head across the street with a golf club. Plus you could set fire to people and got to kill Gary Coleman. Good fun.

It was called Poot.
You controlled a man with his trousers down and had to get as many poo's in the toilet in a certain time. If you missed they splattered everywhere.

I should've prefaced my statement regarding FN2. I've never had online play, so I mostly played against the computer. I find it ridiculously easy, so I never block, parry, or throw haymakers, I found that the computer being able to throw haymakers made it a more challenging and enduring game for me. I have not played MGS 4, I still only have an xbox. Too cheap/poor to buy the 360.
Fuck, I totally forget what are possible my two favorite games of all time. The Warhammer series for the PS1. I'd be surprised if many people have heard of them, but they were GREAT real time strategy games with a fantasy theme. I wish I could get them for the computer or the xbox.

the type of little things you had to do were so cool.. like unplug your conitroller from port 1 and plug it into port 2 so that psycho mantis couldn't control your mind.. it was definitely one of my favorite games to play..
also i saw diablo mentioned.. i play diablo and diablo 2 quite a bit.. great games.. and diablo 3 has a trailer out and is in the process right now.. it looks great actually!!..
