I talk to Kelly on myspace alot, And they are trying to get Hopkins at 160, But Hopkins does not want that fight, I think it is only fair. It would be ten punds that Hopkins would have to lose respectively. What do you guys think.
Hopkins is always trying to get rematches that he lost, But he will never give fighters a rematch.
Kelly Pavlik does not deserve a rematch. Not that it matters because, if this is true, then it's clearly going to be little more than a PR move. It's a well-known fact that Hopkins simply cannot make 160 anymore.
No chance . Hopkins is too old to lose all that weight . If Kelly wants redemption he needs to beat Hopkins at lightheavy or people will just say he beat a weight drained 44 year old.
There is no way Hopkins will go down to 160.Is that Pavlik making excuses why he lost or his team.Pavlik doesnt seem to be the sort to make excuses.
Don't shoot the messenger, I think 165 would be better.

Pavlic needs to forget about it, learn from it and move on. Asking for a rematch at 160 suggests he is blaming the extra weight for the loss. He knows Hopkins will turn it down too.

Even if Hopkins could still make 160, why would he need to take that fight? He dominated the first go-round. Pavlik doesn't deserve a rematch and Hopkins has nothing to gain from giving him one.
The difference is Hopkins was calling out Roy seven years after the first fight and was clearly a much improved fighter with a solid chance to win. Pavlik needs to reestablish himself and show some improvement before a rematch is palatable. And, of course, by that time Hopkins will probably be retired.Quote:

Hopkins will never get to 160.
Pavlik just needs to deal with the fact that he got beaten by a clever and good fighter at LH. Pavlik never was or will be a LH and should clean up at 160 then move up to 168.
Fighters jumping weights early in their careers before cleaning up there division is silly, and he should have had a warm up fight at 170 1st
He had no real need to fight Hopkins anyway. I was surprised when I first heard about the Hopkins: Pavlik matchup TBH. I felt the same about the Winky: BHop fight too. The weight just made it seem somewhat absurd. Pavlik and Winky are not LHW's.Quote:
