He's won!!!
My wife has been doing the happy dance all night.
And I have to say she's not alone!
:happy0931sb4:
Pretty one sided beat down that McCain took.
Dude never went past 145 while Obama just took off.
MLK, Rosa, Murray must all be so proud right now.
Obama has more than twice as many electoral votes. Interesting how the popular vote is relatively even.
Obama BEAT HIM UP, BBEAT HIM DOWN. Did you see McCain today? The guy was so full of emotion he must be gutted right now. You can tell he thinks he's right I'll say that much. But no way I'm being a sore loser.
So much for a landslide of Reagan-Mondale proportions ;D
The Senate race is looking good for the dems, could actually get some things done.
Lol Jesse Jackson is crying because 1) he wishes it was him. 2) he has one less thing to bitch about.
I can respect McCain and what he says but he just did not do it right.
Whether it was believe or instinct but you just never believed anything he said.
All politicians lie I know that but shit! at least butter me up and make me believe you.
It really is a historic day in American history.
Not to mention Malcom X he must be crying his eyes off with joy and pride.
The people on Phx. are booing Obamas name everytime McCain mentions it. ;D
They all look shocked, like aww shit now we are gonna have to pay a fair percentage on our income taxes...:o Palin looked like she was on the verge of tears but she held it in. Whats with the boo's? Obama is still the President, and that doesnt sound like coming together...oh well they don't have a choice, Senate is blue now.
Yeah, he's worked hard for his country, you have to give him that. I don't think he fought a particularly smart campaign though. A little too much negativity, misrepresentation of Obama positions, even some fear mongering. And this cost him. The public didn't buy it, IMO. Not that Obama was completely innocent, but he at least tried to take the high road.
it was a rough year for Republicans - lots of tough times around. I really hope we can fix some of that in the future, whether it's with Dems or Republicans. I don't really care about parties.
This is historic, and gives me faith in my fellow man. Ugly as this political race has gotten, been, and was...ultimately, the consensus of America has spoken.
And as of today, and who would have thought it, a good man, a black man, hopefully an able man, is now the United States President Elect.
Sweet.
None of the races of America should hate Obama. He was brought up by a white family, he is not a militant who is gonna scream kill whitey, and he is also going to do everything in his power to make it fair for all people in this nation
You think they have loosened the leash on Biden yet ;D
Oh look.it's Oprah in the audience.......yeah
I better get this out before the guy officially becomes my commander and chief. I've never been more dissapointed in my fellow Americans than I am today. This shouldn't have even been close
This is one seriously compelling Obama speech.
Dude gotz skillz.

To those who thought it would not or could not happen :lickish:
PS. I would like to thank George Bush and Sarah Palin for making this all possible, I would also like to thank the greedy bank lenders.
Timing is everything.
WEEEEE! HEEEEE HEEEEE!
Landslide.
ok we get it he won. oh and im LMAO at the belt around his waist
Who is that chubby piece of work with the glasses that Oprah & Jesse had to stand behind while crying?
Why are they playing the theme music to Private Ryan. Now its just getting rediculous :jester-new:;D...... Congrats Mr.President Obama.
Everyone crying is a dope.
It's funny how florida turned blue, and ohio, I'm still calling bullshit on Bush winning those.
Lol your gonna stir up another Pac political campaign....remember that? He lost......now if he beats Oscar I would say he's a shoe in.;D
As soon as the West Coast closed it was a done deal.
Let's see what he does now.
Downtown Providence is insane right now
1 AM people are marching in the streets, cheering, beating drums, walking towards the Capital building. Literally thousands of people.
TBH i could care less whos our president just as long as he doesnt fuk up our country and keeps gas prices like they are now hes cool to me. and he must stop this bullshit war
I am absolutely delighted by the result. Finally, out with this Neo-con-fundamentalist horrorshow. And finally the majority of the American people stood up and said "Cut the crap!".
Still too many weird ass Republican voters out there for my liking though. There was one guy on the BBC who was challenged on why he voted Republican "Well, Im a life long Republican and I do at least still have my farm" was his wonderfully enlightened response. The Republicans at the top really couldnt give two shits about this silly little man and his waning farm. But he's a life long voter so he will most likely keep doing it! Too many people like that, who just wont face up to the reality and seriousness of a situation. "Well Ive always done that so I might as well keep doing it and hope for something". Duh. People who voted for another term of Bush, a term that produced NOTHING of any meaning nor value for any hard working lower rung individuals. And it took another term of the shit to sway just enough to shift their vote or actually just get out there and vote at all. Still, it was enough.
Obama is inheriting a shell of an economy though and an America that has been seriously damaged in the eyes of the world. Becoming President is a start, but there is a shitload of work to do. I wish him all the best.
