Pretty one sided beat down that McCain took.

Dude never went past 145 while Obama just took off.

MLK, Rosa, Murray must all be so proud right now.

I really hope this is a sign that the people of our country are starting to keep an open mind, at least a little. This is important for more than the usual political reasons.

Obama BEAT HIM UP, BBEAT HIM DOWN. Did you see McCain today? The guy was so full of emotion he must be gutted right now. You can tell he thinks he's right I'll say that much. But no way I'm being a sore loser.

So much for a landslide of Reagan-Mondale proportions

I have a lot of respect for McCain - he's worked really hard to do what he thinks is right for his country. It bothers me when people on either side devolve into outright hatred...that bothers me.

I can respect McCain and what he says but he just did not do it right.

Whether it was believe or instinct but you just never believed anything he said.

All politicians lie I know that but shit! at least butter me up and make me believe you.

It really is a historic day in American history.

When I said sore loser I meant grascious winner, aint happening I don't hate him, he has helped boxing actually. I suppose it's foolish to hold anything that happens during an election against someone.

Yeah, he's worked hard for his country, you have to give him that. I don't think he fought a particularly smart campaign though. A little too much negativity, misrepresentation of Obama positions, even some fear mongering. And this cost him. The public didn't buy it, IMO. Not that Obama was completely innocent, but he at least tried to take the high road.

it was a rough year for Republicans - lots of tough times around. I really hope we can fix some of that in the future, whether it's with Dems or Republicans. I don't really care about parties.

We do but we don't. If his name was Jamal Jones and he was from Saginaw, MI with an associate's from a community college he would have gotten nowhere. But then again, the same would be true had he been white. Surface-judging is American as apple pie.

Have to say,In my morning dealings it is like Christmas morning around here.People in general are really optimistic and looking ahead and yes, their are a few that have a bitter bite to them with the outcome.I have reservations as it pertains to Obama's experience and willingness to commit to some hard choices but the Citizens have spoken.......He's our President and I respect him as such.He will be watched very closely by many and be called to the floor when he fawks up.If any thing Government should fear the people, not the other way around.

We need to get our shit in order here in the States,we have a mess economically, internationally and frankly need to stop looking back wards, finger pointing, and move forward.Also....I think that was the real McCain last night in that speech,The GOP got to him after 2000,and I think he got away from his individuality,Independent nature. He showed class last night.

And can we officially call the Palin 15 minutes as over. She is a fukking human comic strip, carry your arse back to Alaska.
