-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
I'm interested in the result of the fight actually if you want to update us... Mundine is absolutely one of our best at the moment and one of our rare talents..
You must feel some disappointment that we don't get to really test himself out?
Anyway, I have faith each time he fights he will do well and raise interest in others, and himself to take some bigger more challenging fights with fighters who are ranked and regarded higher than him... Every great talent should try to, at least 1 in every 3 or 4 fights, try to seek out an opponent who is regarded higher than themselves..
Anyway thanks in advance for any comments on this fight.. They'll surely have something on the news but not anything of detail..

Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Rnd 1 Mundine certainly in great shape and pintos looks good 10 rounds to go here we go
Pinto 73.8 kgs
Mundine 73.4 kgs
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Round 1 undine much bigger and faster at this stage landing at will. Pintos has a lose tape on the glove which the fight is stopped for. They tape it up and off we go easy round for both. Round to mundine though.
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Rnd 2 Mundine looking sharp and pintos too square up and eating the uppercut hard for pintos to hit from that stance good evasion from mundine still both taking it easy
Both fighters throw but notghing yet
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
rnd 3 mundine throwing pintos covering up - pintos opens up a bit then it settles mundine moves forward continuallly and lands - fight slows a bit as both guys look for advantage pintos covers up and mundine looks for openings
couple of rights from mundine and the fight is a bit slow
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Rnd 4 they have the mexican gloves!! good start both guys throwing good work to the body by mundine and good defense he lands the right when he wants he should be able to finish this but looks like hes wanting some rounds
great body shot fro m anthony
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
I'm right here refreshing every couple of minutes so good work! Hopefully it's a testing fight for both and we can see some real quality need to come out of both fighters..
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Rnd 5 good exchanges from both starts the round good left by both guys mundine ups the pace with good shots hits the body and head and is at this stage doing it fairly easy.
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
rnd 6 good jabs from choc straight on the eye of pintos - pintos lands a few punches but nothing of note - good exchanges from both and good punches from pintos thnis round
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Sounds like Pintos needs to up the workrate also a bit and land some good ones which he's capable of, or, mundine is doing a good job so far of nullifying his work
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
rnd 7 mundine comes out jabbing and m,aking pintos miss now it starts to get lively great kleft from mundine hurts pintos great exchange and the fight is on
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Rnd 8 now i am very drunk - so my .......................
mundine moving foreward pintos back and it looks like the distance is how it will go
mundines jab is dominating the fight at this stage
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
rnd 9 the pace goes up but nothing changes mundine lands more pintos is throwing lots but landing little
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
rnd 10 last round pintos is marked but still in the fight - he wont win tho. mundine is down but its a slip both guys open up in the last round and pintos trys but cant land - mundine seems content and is trying to counter. looks lime it will be a decision. Mundine by UD Easy

Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Does it seem/feel like Mundine maybe doesn't 'see' himself as a really great dominative boxer? And doesn't take full potential of his capablities and potential in the ring?
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Nah - just another fight, Pintos is a good fighter
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Very good! I owe you some reps when I spread some around... Enjoy another drink before bed.. I'm about to grab another one myself..
I darn missing having foxtel.. Even watching Friday night fights, I miss out on so much and feel miles behind what's happening on boxing... Even just watching ESPN and stuff for a few weeks you can catch up a lot with what's going on.. I'm getting sold on ordering it soon...

Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Why was he only fighting 10 rounds I wonder?
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?

U are a dickhead. No one in australia takes much attention of Mundine these days. If anything Aussies tend to underhype people.

That's true.. I think the only person who has said or maybe thinks Mundine is the best in the world is Mundine himself..
Most of Australia generally isn't into boxing in a big way.. Mundine got a fair bit of press at the start of his career and whenever he gets a fight, the news and papers give him a bit of attention, and the closet boxing fans come out to watch him. And a lot probably don't have much of an idea about boxing anyway, but they enjoy it as a "big fight"... But I don't think anyone is under the impression that he is a great boxer on the world stage...
Kostya on the other hand was accepted all around Australia as one of the best in the world.. I think most people here somewhat know what's going on.... I DO think that the Mundine fights are hyped a lot here and people that aren't in the know get the impression that they are bigger than they really are.. It is part of the reason he can always make some decent money here...

Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
he really needed to stop Pintos if he can't put away a B class fighter whats going to happen when he fights someone like Sturm.

I think he could have won by stoppage, but in doing so would have risked being Ko'd himself. He proved he was a class above Pintos and i think he'd give Sturm all sorts of trouble if not beat him. Sturm wouldnt KO Soliman or school Green, and would probably struggle to go 12 with Kessler.

Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Anybody see a match between Mundine and Daniel Geale anytime soon?
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
That would be a good match up. Unfortunately Geale doesn't bring enough to the deal to make it happen.

He brings more than Pintos. I think a Mundine v Green type grudge match can be built up over time.
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Mundine said that he would love to fight Geale and I'd love to see it.

Geale probably needs a couple of tougher fights before going after Mundine.
-
Re: Does anyone want me to do a drunken rbr for the mundine fight tonight?
Mundine has been getting bad press over here in WA over his recent fights as the sports writers realise he is consistently picking bums to fight against.

Yeah but I kind of meant in terms of $$, but yes you are right he would bring more credit to the fight and prob $ than Pintos.
